Customer Review

This tourist park located on the south side of Canberra city is easy to access and offers a variety of accommodation and has a tavern onsite, which offers good meals at reasonable prices. If you don't feel like driving, there is a bus stop just a short walk from the park. Driving wise, it is just a short drive to the city centre, and freeways to the suburban centres and all the tourist sites to see. The staff are friendly and very helpful, grounds and amenities are maintained, and the park is mostly quiet with minor traffic noise at peak times. We have enjoyed our stay and will stay here again when we visit Canberra.

Over 3 years my rent went up around 20% each year! That's a 60% increase in rent, apparently due to repairs being needed.
I saw little repairs actually finished.
Management where useless to say the least.
Advertising says workers accommodation.
Locals were moving out every day.
I work and my pay has never gone up 60% over 3 years.
Total rip off! Bordering on criminal.

Stayed in the camping area for 3 nights. Late check-in was available and flexible, management was helpful and nice. Bathrooms were clean and plentiful also heated, kitchen was rather limited but also clean, and had an air hockey table gratis. Only downside was the highway was a bit loud, some may find it annoying. Dog friendly. Closest camping spot to town.

Room was great for what we needed. Perfect to just sleep in with little amenities for overnight. So amazed that the laundry amenities were all paid by card as it is always so hard with cash. Clean park and very friendly staff.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I personally won't stay here again, For $50 a night with no wifi that reaches the camp sites, the boom gates were currently not working, no pool. The washing machines and dryers were $7 each! I feel it's quite expensive and would suggest to stay somewhere else.

We all pretty happy during our stay
We've got a good cabin and plenty of room great price too! Only there some missing stuff like No hair-dryer in our cabin. Will be great if there some ceiling fan attach in room. Most of all very happy and enjoy our stay 😊

Really enjoyed our stay. Clean bathrooms, grassed sites neat and tidy. Manro Tavern food was awsome, all staff are awsome and accomdating. Very chilled out only 2 minor issues being the road noise from freeway (cant be helped). Kids play ground could do with some TLC and some shade but my kids made do. Location was perfect.
Thanking you our 1st trip to Canberra was 1 to remeber.

I enjoyed a very comfortable stay here recently. The village is a short drive from attractions such as the galleries, Parliament House and Lake Burley Griffin. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect location to explore anything in Canberra. The staff were so helpful.
We have a van measuring 27ft exterior and they had sites for us, pretty good access.
Only eight mins from Parliament House, close to Fyshwyk markets and lots of restaurants. Tavern on-site. We will stay here again

Big facility with on-site tavern. Well appointed camp kitchen. Laundry $7 a load! Pay by card. Only.. bit much. Most expensive we've had across the whole country. Including desert roadhouses

Our powered van site was conveniently located, and level. The only facility we used was the shower/toilet block. Very clean and well presented. When we need to stay overnight in Canberra we stay here.

We stayed on a powered site which was bitumised with adjoining fake grass sections. (There were also grass sites ....prob for summer months... and alot of cabins as options) This was very functional being winter and cold and wet. Caravans were spread out so lots of room for everyone. The toilets were clean and the showers hot. The camp kitchen was well equipped and tidy. Some road noise at night but ear plugs fixed that. Overall very happy with our stay.

Fab camp close to the city! Clean and tidy. Shower rooms were a tad small and hard to keep clothes dry while showering. Need a maintenance man to fix hooks on doors etc. Plenty of hot water though. Staff were welcoming and helpful 🙂

Stayed 2 nights in our caravan loved the that the sites had no grass instead gravel with separate parking space and grey water outlet straight below the van.
The amenities were clean and so were the grounds.
Some people complain about roadside noise though this did not personally affect us.

We stayed here 3 nights, and we found it to be a very convenient location. It wasn't far to any of the places we visited. The sites are a little on the small side, but once you're on your site, very cosy and comfortable. Would definitely come back.

Couldn't ask for more for a van stay, I utilised the unpowered site on the grassed area with only a short walk to the amenities which were clean and plenty of hot water in the showers.

Although the unpowered sites backed onto the highway it wasn't unpleasant or overly noise and sleep isn't an issue.

Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and there is an afterhours system if you run late.

Will be staying again when coming through.

Whilst there is a bit of traffic noise, we thought the park was excellent. We stayed in the unpowered section, they were well grassed, plenty of shade if needed and whilst the sites are unallocated there is plenty of room to move. The amenities are on the older side but very clean and tidy. There is also a Tavern/Bistro on site, the service good and so are the meals. The park is well located and the city centre is a 20 minute bus ride away. We would certainly stay here again.

The staff are extremely helpful and professional. I travel alone and they price accordingly, I have not had this before. The amenities are crisply clean. The park is in a great position for exploring the surrounding area. Highly recommend.

One star is too many for the two-bedroom onsite cabin. Cockroaches galore, hairdryer not working, shower dripping all the time, dirty lounge and dining chairs, floors sticky. The TAVERN on-site can be very loud with all night yahooing by some tenants in the park. Check in service was very good. Not however good dealing with complaints by a number of tenants complaining about all the noise on the Friday night.

I highly recommend this park, their customer service is second to none, the cabin I stayed in was spacious, clean & comfortable.
We had a meal at the Tavern located on site which was as good as any home cooked meal.
I will most definitely be back!

We stayed on a powered sites and paid $45 per night for 7 nights. I was very disappointed with the showers . Absolutely no where to put clothes and towels. We stay in caravan parks often and cheaper parks have very much better amenities. Please think about upgrading your showers.

Whilst our cabin was clean it was also very dated. The bed where so very hard lumpy and we could feel the springs and wire coming through. The tap in the bathroom would not stop dripping. In parts of the park it was not nice at all very dirty. The staff were courteous. The placement of the crockery was in a very odd place making it difficult to get the plates out and in quite hard. Towels soft and clean and good quality linen on beds

Location is great, but amenities where lacking in form of very small shower cubicles, you have to step into shower to hang items on and close the door, kept running out of toilet paper, out of 4 washing machines on two in service and out of two dryers only 1 in service, no details on cost and length of time machines took.
Staff very friendly in reception.

Rooms are clean, warm, equipped with nessesititeis, dog friendly, having our little companion welcomed makes big difference. Staff friendly, Tavern on sight for meals. Good location for what we needed.

Clean neat cabins and grounds. We had an issue (not with the cabin) and the manager could not have been more helpful to rectify this for us. We were exhausted so decided to try the Bistro on site and where so pleased we did. Food was great and heaps of choice. Staff could not have been more helpful, and gave me information that meant we didn't miss the 96 gun salute for the Queen. We would definitely stay again. Management and staff care that you have a good stay.

I personally didn't visit this place.. my son did. I have heard this place has a reputation as it did many years ago. Not sure if I would like to stay there myself. Each to their own decisions though.

Check in good for a cabin. But the cabin is missing a lot of basics (peeler, a sharp knife etc) and the reverse cycle air con struggled to keep the cabin warm. For the price it could be much better.

If you are travelling with a dog that is bigger than a cat chances are you CANNOT stay here.
It's pet friendly at management's discretion.....but very tiny dogs only as we were told no to out medium sized well behaved dog. There are other option thankfully.

Website says pet friendly. Should say handbag toy pets only. Temperament and age mean nothing. I was made to feel like I'm traveling with Hannibal Lecter. I offered to send photos or even camp in a tent despite sub zero temps in June but because I have a big dog it's a big deal. Nothing worse than false advertising.
I'll spend my money elsewhere.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay on a powered site. The amenities block was very clean and the cleaning staff were very friendly. It was an ideal location for us. Enjoyed the tavern that is on site for a cold Drink and a meal. Will be staying there again next time we are in Canberra. Could not fault it.
