Great service even during country music week excellent food

Very comfortable bed with onsuite. Quiet considering your over the pub. Good food from the kitchen and well kept beer.

Have had meals here a couple of times, nachos, steak sandwich, crumbed lamb, schnitzel, carbonara pasta are all good, huge portion sizes and priced well.

Outdoor dining supposedly no smoking area, yet 2 metres away around the corner is a smoking area with no screen so it will blow in yours and your children's face while you eat. Food is good, but was ruined with th vile stench of cigarettes. Will be reporting to relevant authorities.

Meals were very nice I had chicken cabonara and my son had the chicken burger.

The service from the bistro staff and the bar staff was exceptionally great.

But this event was spoiled by poor
behaviour swearing and language by the regulars the patrons .

There was no consideration of other patrons of this premises.

This was disgusting, they were standing at the bar uttering profanity and this was within earshot of the enclosed dining area with a number of children present.

Very crass behaviour even in a pub setting on a Saturday evening.

Management should consider the needs of other patrons.

I won't be going back there to eat again.

Paid $73 to wait an hour and 15 mins for TAKEAWAY. Only to come home to cold food. Burnt schnitzels and 5 chips on the side. Would not Reccomend. Don't waste your money here.

If you want a huge meal, this is the place to go. The meals are massive.
We had a group of 20 people & majority enjoyed their meals. I unfortunately had a steak that was overcooked & tough, wasn't impressed.
Staff very friendly & catered well for our large group.
Handy location, walking distance to Coles, post office, motels, public pool, chemist & leagues club.

Celebrated my 60th birthday here yesterday. Staff were fantastic, especially Allison, food was delicious and we were all served quickly. Highly recommend Southgate Inn for your next function. Thanks so much to all the staff.

Get injured there fill out a report it was all fine then bam out of no where the manager turns on me after he gets me to sign the report witch I couldn't even get a copy of. Consider I tried to report it to just a bar stuff witch was pointless that's why I went to the manager about it

Had lunch in restaurant, food was great I would highly recommend.

Had a very enjoyable meal with the grandkids & great-granddaughter. Great play area for kids with good safety fencing.

Went for dinner with my son we both had an amazing time live music atmosphere and dinner was great will definitely be coming back

Good food, I had Caeser Salad and it was a filling meal. Wasn't impressed with the 15% surcharge for a public holiday though. Plenty of parking at Coles nearby.

Loved the cake but I would have appreciated more if it was fresh... overall cheese macadamia was good, less sugar and gluten free..

Reading previous comments we were a little hesitant, but we went and checked it out and it was pretty decent, it has an excellent kids playground, staff were amazing and the food was awesome! Couldn't fault it at all ??'?

For small businesses these days, it's all about the customer reviews. It doesn't matter how slick of a marketing campaign you have, how much you invest in advertising and hosting grand events; it can all come hideously undone with a couple of unhappy customers who decided to tell the world about it.

Here's my story :(
I decided to treat my family to what I believed was a treat down at my local pub here

Not only was my wife looked up and down like she was a piece of meat but the food .... ooohhh lord the food WAS HORRIBLE!

The taste of burnt everything was indulged to my taste buds, it took three days of mouth wash to disinfect the taste of burnt charcoal flavouring from my sinuses.

Who ever Granted the "chefs" here permission to cook anyone anything is not only a crime against the culinary art of cooking but potentially a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I regret every moment ordering food in that venue

The only major positive was the beautiful bar staff and other attendance on scene

Upon arrival I was greeted with a beautiful personality at the door

If only these beautiful souls weren't let down by the horrible mess and distasteful disgrace of its kitchen

Absolutely flawless establishment ??'? If I owned a place like this then this is the staff I'd want working for me ..Food was delicious bar staff fabulous especially Pete .. for someone that's worked in the industry most of my life I always appreciate great customer service ... We will be back !!

Great service - drive through. Specials and also a discount on liquor should you be a member of the pub group.

Kind of noisy, and certainly busy, that resulted in a long wait for dinner, on my visit. The beer was good and cold, and the food was fine.

Can't fault Southgate inn at all. Staff friendly and welcoming and the meals never disappoints

Had a great feed and night at southgate inn the bar staff are absolutely wonderful always greeted with a smile they were up for a chat and a joke and nothing was a hassle always making sure our group was looked after the lady who took our meal order u are beautiful and friendly and obce again nothibgvwas a hassle thank u for a great night we will all be back

Great place just that some staff (NOT ALL) are coming off a bit rude towards folks in the Pokies rooms. I would suggest a large portion of their salary comes via those two rooms not from the Beer taps. And great hospitality costs nothing but a great attitude.. oh great meals at the Southie
