Went for a friend's birthday dinner with a fairly large number. Nothing was a trouble for the staff and service was quick. Meal prices were exceptional and the meals were of high quality. It was an affordable celebration, enjoyed by all of us. ??'??

Went here midday on a Monday and the lady serving the bar couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. We ordered the chicken ceasar salad and it was right up there with the best I've had. Proper cooked chicken breast and plenty of it. Well done!

Visited Thursday night for Ribs & Rump. Fast service, staff friendly and with a smile. Made you feel welcomed. Food was great.

Food is ok, and reasonable priced. I ordered delivery on the 5th April for approximately 7:30-7:45pm. It didn't arrive to almost 8:20pm, as I had to pick my wife up from work there was almost going to be no one home to collect it. My wife didn't like her steak as she found the chargrill on the steaks to be a bit too burnt. It seems to be an issue more confined to the Tavern.

Great atmosphere, awesome kids playground so a nice family friendly tavern. The outdoor areas are unique to Dubbo and the restaurant is reasonably priced with a great range of choice. The food is delicious and the staff very friendly.

Had a friend in town, so we went up to the south Dubbo Tavern for a counter lunch it was absolutely magnificent even the chef came out and had a chat. Very friendly staff, nice dining area, great food and cold beer.

We ate here last night and it was such a nice experience. We are in town for a wedding and weren't sure where to go for dinner. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent and priced really well. I got the steak chips and salad for about $20. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and even though it was busy everyone was being looked after. We will definitely be back again!

After initially not remembering that I had visited here, I did actually attend for the cheap schnitzel night. The schnitzel was pretty good, but took over an hour to arrive after ordering. This wouldn't stop me going back though - the staff were pleasant and the atmosphere was pretty fun for a suburban pub.

Fantastic experience - the food was great, and the little tented areas inside the playground are a great place to enjoy your night out, and keep an eye on your kids at the same time.

Such lovely staff . We were visiting from Sydney tonight. We had a big group tonight with lots of kids. The kids loved their kids meals but our beef in our Thai salad was very tough . However , what will be positively memorable were the staff. They were so happy and friendly. When we walking back to our motel the courtesy bus driven by Carolyn stopped and picked us up and drove us to our motel because she didn't want us walking in the cold and being unsafe. So thank you so much , that made our night.

Waited over 90 mins for our meals. Would have been good to have been given a heads up on the wait time to have the option to go elsewhere if we wanted. Food was okay.

Great tavern. Friendly staff, fantastic food with generous portions. I tried the steak and it was amazing. Very friendly staff, quick service. Minus 1 star as the entrance reeks of cigarette smoke which is off putting. Once you're inside it's okay.

More than an hour to wait for a meal, very disappointed. Good chips but the rest are very overvalued. $80 for two plates, taste like pub style, normally the price is $12.50 each?

Good value for money meals from a traditional Australian menu. Generous servings. Great children's playground within view of some tables for Mum and Dad to watch. Some parking and public transport (daytime bus) close by.
Not Covid safe. No one checking for login. No one checking for vaccination. Lots of people without masks and far too many people for the space available. Fortunately we could eat outside except that no outside tables were available.

Food was good and huge serving. Open Late so it convenient for late night feast

The ribs were the BEST I've had in Australia and most of the USA as well. Fabulous!

I ate here with 5 kids aged 7-19 for dinner about 5:30 on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy and we easily found a table outside next to the large playground. Ordering food was easy at the front and the service was amazing. I didn't feel rushed at all, despite 6 orders and indecisive kids. Everything cooked quickly and was delicious and presentation was on point. The menu had a good variety of options, catering to different tastes.

Perfect kids area next to beer garden. Live music. Looooved the mixed grill, pork ribs and $10 kids meals with drinks and ice cream! Would definitely recommend and visit again

We had a great time here. The playground was the best part as it kept our son busy whilst we were relaxing, enjoying our drink and food! ;) (main reason we came here!) The outdoor dining area directly connected to playground allows us to supervise our son playing whilst providing good pub athmosphere. The food was good and well priced. We will come back again the next time we visit Dubbo.

The atmosphere is fantastic. It's a nice quite place to hang with your friends while having a drink or 2. The bar staff are very nice people. However the cooking staff is not as good as the bar staff they have messed mine and my friends meal up several times. And can be a bit blunt with customer service.. but the food is really good. They have excellent pizzas and burgers and their snitzhel is amazing, and their drink prices are acceptable. One of my favorite places to go to. 4 out of 5 because there is room for improvement

My choice in Dubbo to enjoy a quite drink and meal in a relaxed atmosphere.South Dubbo Tavern caters for everyone with outdoor facilities to keep the little ones of the family amused when having that family outing. Drive through fully stocked bottleshop , TAB.KENO and Pokies available. The management and staff are very friendly and efficient. I call the tavern a " Club in a Pub ". Highly recommend.

Wow & wow!! This place has always been a favourite the last couple of years I lived in Dubbo. Great food, excellent & fast service, super courteous staff. Tonights "departing Dubbo indulgence "was the unforgettable divinely delicious Surf & Turf. This was the best most mouth watering meal ever!!! Crisp beans, yummy potatoes, softest calamari, crunchy prawns, tender & juicy flavoursome steak,swimming in the more-ishy succulent sauce. Heavenly!!

We had dinner in the Cabana's with our family while the children ran a muck. Best place for a good feed, drink and keep the kids occupied. Thank you for making our visit to Dubbo better!!
