Great place. Super friendly and some of best traditional pizza and pasta in the area. Great local vibe to the place and cant wait to go back again.

$39 for grilled John Dory, salad and chips. Fish served by itself, salad followed a while later after requesting the waiter to follow up. The chips came at the end of the meal after asking the waiters four times. They said they couldn't make the chips in time.? For a high end price surely check the plate before service! No apologies from the staff. AVOID this dump!!

SCBC do an outstanding job of balancing being a top quality lawn bowling venue, a great community centre and a family friendly restaurant and bar. Highly recommend it for any social gathering.

It seems the manager of this place wasn't only rude to myself and my family but also other Google reviews on here. As a place that is promoted as "family friendly" I'd think twice about coming here. When you have a manger of a club constantly screaming/swearing at kids for being kids, well clearly he needs a new job. As for the 2 guys that manage the bistro, we'll I've never seen anyone so uninviting in all my life. We arrive at 7.50pm on a Friday night and they abruptly tell everyone we only have 10 minutes to order our food. As we order they are rolling their eyes and saying things to each other under their breath because they obviously were not going home as early as they thought. I wouldn't recommend this bistro for families and definitely not this bowling club for kids when this cranky man of a manager is on duty.

Had dinner there on a Friday night. Food was good. Moved into the bar to watch the 8pm football game

Here's where things get strange. Midway through the game, maybe 30 people in the bar, and all of a sudden the bar closes. No warning, no mention of it from any of the staff.

Then, with 10 minutes to go in the game, the manager comes around and just shuts off the sound. Clearly pushing people to leave.

So - a bunch of people who can no longer spend money, because the bar is closed, being pushed out of the bar for the reason they were there... to watch the football.

Is it any wonder the place makes no money? Have they heard of the concept of hospitality?

Reeks of incompetence and lacking any kind of service skills. An unwelcoming place - they may as well shut the whole place down, as they are clearly not interested in their customers.

Food was average. We had group of kids and were scoulded for letting kids run on bowling green. We tried to hire out green but we're told the person who hires them wasn't working at 2pm on a Sunday! Won't be back.

Always have a great experience here. The food is delicious and large portion sizes at a reasonable price. Family friendly, but always busy fri-sun so make sure to book ahead on those days!

Hi guys I've been there had great service friendly ambience and the owners Garry and Filomena were friendly and welcoming and paid attention to our needs and food. Amazing first time experience. we will come back. We had 19 people there last Sunday for lunch.

One of the greatest perks living in this area is having the bistro on our doorstep!! Great food, relaxed atmosphere, family vibe, love it!!

Terrible experience over the weekend. Rude staff who were not kid friendly at all. Very unorganised and abrupt. Would not recommend and avoid if you want a pleasant dining experience with your family.

Terrible staff at this place. Old players really rude, yelling kids as they were playing around the grass area and the fields (kids playground was locked up so they couldn't do anything else)
Restaurant staff were nice in the beginning, but at the end they couldn't be asked anything and they would shut their face and start asking us to move to the bar as they needed to close of the restaurant area. No table service as well.

Worst place ever.
Booked a table for 20 people to celebrate my daughters 1st birthday. At arrival we were told that there was no table service so my Mrs. had go over the table to note 20 different orders and pay.
Chef was stressed and food was rushed, terrible dishes. From 1.30pm - 2:00pm we were told every 5 mins that everyone should move to the bar area before 2pm, again rude staff cleaning around people trying to eat their rushed dishes.

Rude aged bowling players telling all of us what we could and not do, shouting at kids without any respect, bar staff telling kids off because they were playing. Even at the smoking area we could not be comfortable because we were blocking the "game view"

Worst experience ever, regret every single $ spent in this venue.

If you want to celebrate and have a good time this is definitely not the place. Zero stars ?
