Awesome club. Amazing staff who would rate amongst the friendliest and most helpful in Australia. Brendon and his staff went above and beyond duty to ensure we enjoyed our time in Port Augusta. Will be back.
Back at another of our absolute favourite pubs. Sky Tavern in Port Augusta, South Australia. Have stopped here so many times over the years and everyone knows us. So nice hearing them say, we have heard about you. In a good way, of course. Jaimie even asked about our Kayak they normally store in their store room for us, as they assure us it won't last the night under the motorhome. Be down in the river in the morning, they said. So I was happy to inform her we no longer travel with a big heavy plastic Kayak. We met her husband, Brendan, the manager, years ago and finally got to meet her now. She knew all about us. Some great games of pool with Susie and a few Imperial pints of Carlton Draught for $9.50. Coles, Woolworths, Reject Shop, Cheap as Chips, and all the other shops we need to stock up at within walking distance and we are set.
Couple of nights here, stock up and off into the desert. Last chance for over three weeks now.
Bring on the adventure, to the party.

This establishment is a complete joke.
Arrived with some friends in a cab, I had a can in my hand (not mine) but that's besides the point, I didn't drink it I even placed it on the ground outside of the door but Justin deemed it necessary to refuse me entry.
We were not loud or disruptive or inebriated he told me it was a new pub rule and he could get fined $5k (pretty sure a business cannot fine their staff).
Then he informed us we could drink at the tassie, now excuse my ignorance but my friends could have a beverage at the tassie and then return to the sky tavern no questions ask BUT I was refused entry because I had a can in my hand that was not mine nor did I drink it.
Justin also refused to even let me enter to have a soft drink or a glass of water pretty sure a glass of water is basic human rights ???" if your travelling through town I would avoid this place, we found the Augusta hotel was a much friendlier and welcoming place.

Advertised as open til 1 and doors locked at 12:30. Doors locked at 12 every time I try to go there. Had a tonne of money to put into the pokies but unfortunately didn't want our business. 10/10 would not recommend
