Loved the decor of this place. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was decent and generous. Wish we had a local like this is Sydney.

Such a welcoming and unique venue with amazing atmosphere, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and an incredible menu with so much variety. The food was brilliant and the portions so generous. Will definitely be back!

Great spot for a feed and a drink. Dog friendly area outside with both a smoking and non smoking section. Portions are hearty and every member of our party enjoyed their meals. They also cater for celiacs. They have a menu behind the bar with extra gluten free options marked.

The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. The establishment is approximately about 4-5km from the main street of Bowral but it was well worth the trip. If you're ever in Bowral I highly recommend this place

This was a great experience, first time here food was amazing and the service was great had a great Scottish feel with the decor and atmosphere was nice. They have a fire place and small function room, there is a small 6 machine gaming room near the outdoor eating area.

Awesome place was there with my family for lunch on Sunday. It was all booked out but we sat outside they put heaters on for us then we ordered our entrees and mains both was absolutely ??'? awesome we will be back

Great food at the bistro. Very reasonable prices. Terrific friendly service. We brought our puppy so we went to the outdoor seating area which had good heating.

Only came for dinner... But the decor was lovely and as mentioned really good food.

"Glasgow in down under !" Amazing place that welcomes you into "Scotland" - full decorations were very impressive along with very friendly staff and the foods were amazing. This place should be in town so much more people could enjoy it. We will definitely go back with more friends next time.

Complements to all the staff. Everyone was so lovely and friendly. We were greeted as though the staff really wanted us there and we were not an inconvenience to their day!!

We stumbled across this pub on our way back to Sydney from Canberra. It was a hidden gem! The atmosphere was great, the locals were chatty and very friendly and the food was amazing! We will definitely be coming back here again. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Over staffed for Tuesday night :) 5 staff were on floor, for about 7 sitting tables. Heavy operational cost for owners. Wondering how keep it afloat/profitable?

We had a lunch booking for 20 people for a work Christmas lunch. We couldn't have asked for better! Everything was easy & efficient, from booking the table, pre-ordering & paying. It's really clean, the atmosphere is great. Staff are friendly & helpful (they even kept a meal warm for someone who was running late). Well priced & the food is delicious! What a great venue! Because it was out of town, I hadn't visited before but I'll definitely be visiting again. Access is easy for people of all mobility levels. The calm ambiance which contributes to easy conversation. Lots of parking. Great food. The food includes excellent vegan dishes. The chef reportedly was vegan until arriving in Australia and so provides wonderful dishes. Great outdoor area that is mostly under cover which was great today in the rain but would be wonderful in mid summer too. On my second visit I sat outside in the sunshine with my friend and dog. Staff supplied water for my puppy and then gave her many leftovers. Food was still fabulous. Highly recommended.

Picked here at random for dinner on an overnight stay in Bowral. Lucked out big time. Great food, cannot praise the staff enough for their help and enthusiasm, and a couple of beers new to me. I highly recommend as a great family tavern style venue. Thanks all.

Drove down to Bowral from Sydney on Sunday and stopped for dinner at the Scottish Arms Hotel and it was just amazing. The decor was so cool, the staff were really friendly and the food was incredible. We ordered some garlic breads for an entree and schnitzels, curry, calamari and steak for the mains.

Highly recommend this pub.

Very friendly staff at the bistro. We were informed of a delay but they insured we had garlic bread early so we didn't starve. It was a very busy night, but they made a table specially for us so my pregnant wife could be comfortable. Food was delicious and sauces were to die for

Always a great feed! A friend had the t-bone, said it was amazing. I got the parmy as always, never disappoints and the best gravy you can buy.

Nice local pub, food is always great and plentiful. Nice to sit outside of a summers evening. Book early if you want an indoor table on weekends. Meat raffle on a Friday is one of the best around. Closes at 10pm as it's in a residential area.

Hi all.. first time here. Food was good but not really scottish based. Came up for lunch. Staff friendly and pleasant.. good for a quick feed.. a enjoyable experience

Whilst this pub serves good food, they are very unwelcoming when you turn up for a meal. Three times I have been told that the wait will be long and do I REALLY want to wait. Also when booking on the phone in advance, the response is "we are very busy tonight, wouldn't recommend that you book a table". They just do not seem to want or encourage customers. Bad attitude. I won't be trying again.

We had the mexican parmigiana which was delicious, and huge! It could even be shared, but it needed to be big to justify the price.

I was hoping for a few more than 1 Scottish beer on tap as the description said there are "Scottish beers". Although I guess that's true if you have more than 1. I thoroughly enjoyed the Tennet's 1885 Lager they had on offer.

Atmosphere was great and this place has charm. Recommend checking it out if in the area. Dog friendly too!

Very nice place with good, pleasant service and great food. The building itself, although a facsimile of an old building, really successfully creates a warm atmosphere. The surrounding suburb is very clean and quiet and has some houses with almost impossibly neat and pretty gardens. It made me think of The Truman Show. I would definitely re-visit this pub as it caters so well to visitors.

Having just moved into the area, we were impressed by the reputation, menu and facilities of the Scottish Arms Hotel... and we mustn't be alone as it took three weeks or trying to book for dinner to grab a table. Ultimately, it was well worth it with a standard menu that caters for kids to grown ups, with delicacies such as smoked brisket (my new favourite), and a weekly specials menu. The beer was cold, with local and Scottish flavours on tap. Clean, friendly and a happy vibe. It may well become my new local!
