very welcoming and friendly staff, great food, facilities and atmosphere. the food at the bistro was fresh and delicious and the lovely lady who served us made us feel very welcome and constantly engaged with and made my 6 yr old daughter laugh while she served us dinner and dessert. the bar area had plenty of beers on tap and many screens to view sports. the fire places scattered through the place made it feel very comfortable and warm. i would definitley recommend this place for a beer or a bite. the day time view of the river out back looks fabulous.

It's a run of the mill standard pub. The vibe is ok, I felt safe and no one has bothered me any time that I've been here. The food is adequate and good portion sizes with nothing to complain about, and they do have a couple of veggie options that are really reasonable. Service has been friendly enough.

Great pub grub at such a reasonable lunch time rate.
I had barramundi, delicious.
Staff are lovely. Great views over the Manning river.
The only down side , the smokers tables are in the outdoor patio area where it's so nice to sit, smoke and eating just don't mix anymore.

Fantastic food! The 12$ lunch special is great. Great atmosphere. I like to sit out the back with the river views, and my dog is always welcome

Great atmosphere. I ordered the Royal Salad. Unfortunately like other eateries, the plate is excessively full of rocket with very little else. Less is more of the greens. Nothing much more was on the plate. It's both unappealing and a waste. Otherwise a nice location to enjoy lunch with friends.

Had $12 Barramundi for Lunch. Absolutely spot on!! Goodsize portions, great chips, salad had yummy dressing plus came with tartae sauce. Very friendly staff, lovely clean premises. We will be back !

Called in for lunch and was told it would be a 1hr wait due to only one Chef because of illness.
Decided to order anyway and have a couple of cold drinks while waiting.
We could see other meals coming out looking fantastic and the Chef working so hard.
When our food arrived it was great.
I had the Royal salad and Hubby had the salt and pepper squid.
Such good value for $12 !
As one of the bar staff mentioned his quality never wanes and they are lucky to have him.
We will be back.

Very nice staff. Super cheap lunch menu, $12 per meal and tasted delicious! We had grilled barramundi, chicken schnitzel, steak and squid. All were a good size and were served with chips and salad.

Pretty good place to have a drink. Average pub but above average service from the bar staff and security guards. Food is fairly decent too, and they usually have colouring in supplies to keep the kiddos busy. Outdoor seating area is lovely on a summers eve

This pub serves fantastic meals, including the most tender rump steaks and great mushroom sauce. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend The Royal Hotel in Taree and I always eat there when passing though this lovely town.

Beyond our expectations. Gorgeous hotel and the views are stunning, especially on a nice day. The staff be areas very friendly and go above and beyond to help out. The flathead and chips was big enough for two (we shared and they gave us two plates be and cutlery without us asking - that's great service). We also enjoyed our 4 Pines and Peroni on tap - total meal including drinks were $31 (peroni on special though)

The lady that served my family was wonderful and doted on my daughter who really enjoyed her experience as we often don't eat out the atmosphere was beautiful with 2 fire places in the areas kids could be I didn't venture into the bar section but the place was wonderfull food was delicious I couldn't finish my plate but was so good I forced myself to eat more that I should have.

The sirloin steak was exceptional today. The texture was perfect and a generous size. Really spacious pub with gorgeous views over the manning River.

Ordered lunch food for 5 and meals were brought out up to 10 minutes apart and one was missed altogether. Nothing complicated and not a busy time (mid-week) but staff were uninterested. Very ordinary experience. Food was just okay. Maybe an off day but can't recommend.

Nothing much open in town, classic pub food and ambience. Great for what it is, doesn't pretend to be any different. Good basic tucker and modest prices

Have enjoyed the Chicken Palmigarna last year and again this year on an overnight stop in Taree. This time also had a great night with the mid coast blues club open mike night.

After finishing my meal visited the gaming room and wasn't there very long due to the behaviour of a few young men ..foul language bothering one of the patrons. The woman looking after the area heard them and didnt say a word to them ..last time for me

Really enjoy coming here. Food is delicious and everyone i have taken their also agrees. Reasonable prices and my favorite beer on tap. It has a lovely outside area and 2 fireplaces going in the cooler weather. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend
