We liked this place so much the first time that we put it on the itinerary and went out of the way to go there again. This time we brought an extra 6 people and they too enjoyed it. Both times have been fantastic. Country feel, relaxed pub with great sized meals and tasty food. They fix issues with no fuss or bother. Good little kids room and also outside kids area.

Looks like it has been recently renovated with new paint and carpets and decent furnishing. The bar area has a good feel about it, particularly with the wood fires on a cold day. There is a big dining area and the staff try hard to make it welcoming. The food was good, typical pub food.
We stayed for the night and were lucky enough to get the double room with ensuite. The bed was comfortable but it filled up most of the room. Very good value though at $100 for the night. Other rooms have shared bathrooms which were big and clean. For a group the upstairs dining/ gathering area and kitchen would be perfect.
It's exactly what a country pub should be like.

Super cosy yet still really affordable. The highlight was eating our delicious meals in front of the fireplace. The staff were really friendly too.
Simple clean rooms in a nice sleepy country town.

I decided to come to this pub after work, for dinner. Asked for garlic bread. Did not receive it, my main meal came out before my entree. My chips were cold. Chicken was cold. Blunt staff

Was looking forward to a good country style pub food but it wasn't the case for me

Grilled barramundi cooked from frozen fillet, tasted funny

Nachos was just a bit salty on the meat and dry

Salt pepper calamari and gourmet pizza weren't nice too, again felt like frozen food being served.

Nice enough place the Accommodation and Bistro were a little expensive food was ordinary but the beds were fresh it's an old Pub with limited amenities. The towns People were very nice. Motorcycle Friendly

Highly recommend accommodation and meals. The staff and locals are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed 2 nights while visiting the caves.
The rooms and freshly renovated bathroom facilities are comfortable and clean.
Plenty of other shared spaces, lounge and tv, balcony, laundry and kitchenette.
Amy was especially lovely.

Stopped in for a meal during our September School holiday visit to Jenolan Caves. Not only was there an outdoor play area for the small children but also a space inside for children with tables and toys, both were ideal. I did like the 'old world carm' appeal of this hotel. Had a really fun game of pool with my daughter ($3)

Hired a family room. Olden style oil column Heaters didn't work in room. Of the 5 single beds, only one had blanket, the rest had only quilts. Luckily we took warm clothes but still froze whole night - it was -2°c but felt like -7°c outside. Not impressed

Simple fare, but a delicious freshly made burger with well fried chips really hit the spot on a freezing cold day. Paired with a schooner of fine stout; what more could you ask of a great pub meal? Friendly service and a cosy atmosphere too. We'll be back soon.

Everything is in great condition. Very clean bathroom, comfortable room, friendly very helpful staff. Had pizza one night, a hamburger the next, were both v good. They serve beer, what more do you need.

This hotel is a typical country pub. Food was good, steaks and mixed grill both well cooked. Staff are friendly. There is an outdoor area and a small dining room if you want a quiet space. Good value dining experience but not city restaurant style.

Had a golf weekend with a bunch of guys last weekend. The staff were brilliant! the rooms are warm, clean and comfortable and the food was great. Did I say how good the staff were.. terrific.

Yep good pub good menu busy even mid week can bev30-50 minutes delay for ordered meals, some listed items unavailable.

We had the best ribs n wings dish EVER! The ribs were absolutely terrific, no doudt whatsoever... Try them, very awesome!

Bit pricey for what you get. Tiny rooms. I had a double bed and a single, one chair one basin (no shelf), radiator for heating, short round coffee table. Shared bathrooms No signs on the door for the men's, don't know about the women's. One small shower, one large (would say ambulant but I couldn't see any wheelchair access to get upstairs). One toilet. No bench or basin... There is a basin in the large shower. No door locks. Had to balance my stuff on the sink. I only used the large shower. Hot water took about 5 mins to kick in. Bistro and pub were excellent. One of the best steaks I've ever had and great chips.
