Food was delicious, priced well. Drinks also great price. Has been updated and renovated. Garden area for kids to run around. Definitely recommend if driving past.

Great quality room for the night. Super comfy bed and great location for a stop overnight. Better than some five star hotels I've stayed at. The outdoor area is a great place to relax after a few hours on the road. Will definitely stay again

A wonderful renovation bringing this old gem back to life.
The food and service is always consistently great.
We stayed overnight and the room was comfortable and welcoming. We loved our own private bathroom which was immaculate.
The newly upgraded footpath has made it even better.

Don't bother coming here with dogs. Despite the great looking beer garden out the back you will be forced to sit out the front in the hot sun to eat your meals with the smokers.

Here for a work trip, brought my partner for the trip too as she had time off work and the rooms and amenities are amazing!!! Best I've stayed in by far! and for the price you can't complain!! Absolutely recommend ??'??

We enjoy going to the Royal for a Sunday lunch. Genuine pub fare without too much pretension. We are regulars, which says a lot.

extraordinary pub stay. clean, new welcoming. even though bathroom is not ensuite each room has their own bathroom close by which is accessed by the rooms door card. i enjoyed a really nice dinner of roast pork belly with great crackling. service was tops. thanks must go to hotel staff on duty on 3-4-2023. i will being staying again for sure.

The band space junk farmers was great the street food menu was very nice (There wasn't enough cauliflower balls?) and dinner was delicious thanks to all the staff especially the kitchen

The beef rib was hard, black, over barbecued and certainly not slow cooked. Very poorly cooked and presented dry with no sauce of any type. I can certainly cook better !

straight off the highway and into a beer or 2 and bed. A great halfway stop when driving. Rooms recently renovated. Really nice job on the pub.

Stopped to get dinner on our way home during a 10 hour drive. Just happened to stumble upon this little jewel at a random exit. I had the homemade beef, cheese, and bacon pie with salad and chips. Loved it!! The salad even had a nice honey mustard style dressing which was a pleasant surprise. Hubby had the steak sandwich and 16 year old son had the pork belly. 16 year old said "this is now my favorite restaurant!" All the food was great, really tender steak and nice crunchy fries/chips. Next time we drive through this way will stop by again ?

Celebrated a birthday in the beer garden, ordered platters, the food was so delicious. All staff friendly and helpful. Fantastic venue and food.

The food was pretty good but the service you receive is very very poor. When we went to the restaurant area we were ignored so we walk back out and came back. We arrived 5 minutes to 12 and was told that the kitchen would be ready in 10 minutes time and they had no problem turning customers away. When we went to order I asked if we could get cheese in the bread and it was a hard no! No question or anything. I struggle to understand why that couldn't happen. Alway seem to have an issue with service there and most probably will not return

The food was excellent, we had the seafood platter special, everything was fresh and delicious. Lovely staff , hipster Melbournesque Barman poured the best Guinness.
As a couple passing through on a road trip it was a great experience

My partner and I with our grandson & a friend had lunch here today for a 4th time the place was packed & staff under the pump. Our 4 meal's were absolutely fantastic I had prawn linguine which was hands down the best I have ever had. Our friend had salt and pepper squid which melted in your mouth. My partner had a chicken snitzel which was large & very moist. We would recommend Kew Pub to anyone who wants a top quality meal.

Great food and good selection of beers on tap. If you ask nicely and consume a beverage or a meal by might allow you to park in their carpark overnight. Don't forget to refuel across the road. The best price for diesel on the M1 between Sydney and Queensland

The food at this joint was shocking went in as recomended by the hotel we are staying at and had snitty I am a snitty lover and these were dry and hard as were the chips. My partner walked to the bar as I'm pregnant and had our 19 month old and He waited to be served for our jug of coke there was about 3 people in front and then a bunch of regulars it appeared after and to our shock they served everyone and left him until last. Our food took ages and the staff were really rude.
Sad to say the most friendly person was the first young drunk guy we saw on our way in who happily said hello to our son and he smiled and waved!

Good, old fashioned Aussie hospitality at its best. The renovation has given the place a modern feel without destroying the old style ambience.
Friendly, efficient staff are the glue holding the service and delicious food together for a really enjoyable experience. It's worth the time to visit. The prices are reasonable and the food very tasty. What's not to like?

Have been to this Pub quite a few times over the last week and while the food is plentiful, delicious and great value I must give a big thumbs up to Josie and Marcus. I've watched both of these staff go about the jobs in such a good way. Josie is so genuine and ready to assist any customer with a huge smile across her beautiful face, and Marcus is always on the go. Behind the bar, then taking meal orders and clearing tables. These guys are a credit to the Royal, and I'm sure Scott, the publican would be proud of them as he is a really good guy as well.
The Royal Hotel at Kew is one place you must stop at. At least once, because you'll keep returning.

And, if you have a caravan you're able to park down the back for a couple of days.

Our first visit since the renovation, and WOW what a warm and inviting welcome we received!
The renovations inside and out are stunning. The bar staff were friendly and very accommodating. Our lunch order was taken with a friendly smile and the food was even better. We highly recommend the Royal for lunch.

We have enjoyed a couple of meals at the restaurant now and the food and services are very good. However the Royal Hotel is undergoing substantial renovations atm so you need to accept a little inconvenience for now. We will certainly be regular customers here in the future.

Friendly staff, renovations look good. Had the burger which was very tasty but a bit pricey at $17. Chicken schnitzel was huge but so very bland and the breading just fell off it so hard to eat. The Diane sauce was pretty tasty and the chips were good. They charge $1 for tomato sauce with your chips and if you need a box for your leftovers they charge you a dollar for that too! The owners must be in dire straights if they need to nickel and dime the patrons, thoughts and prayers.

First time back since the new owners have come on board.
Had Cowra Lamb from the specials board.
Such a generous serving, the lamb was so tender. The whole meal was a taste sensation.
The renovations are coming along well.
Can't wait to see the Royal back to its former glory.
We will make it our local.

Had dinner. Husband rump steak chips and salad $20. Tender! Mine sausages mash and veg $18. Very enjoyable. Felt like comfort food and that's what I got. Really enjoyed the meal. The lady who cooked the food was lovely. The publican very welcoming. The guy can pour a beer. Will definitely be back.

Are you on the Pacific Highway, it's raining cats and dogs and you're just sick of it? Does the idea of a counter meal, a few beers and a bed sound like the best idea in the world? Then get thee hence to the Royal Hotel in Kew.It's a lovely old pub and exactly what I needed. Don't expect the Hilton and you won't be disappointed. The food is good, the beers are cold and the rooms are clean. What more could you ask for?

Went for lunch and waited 40mins for 2 burgers with chips, it was nice but for the long wait I should have gone a trusted favourite for a burger, would have ordered, eaten and been on my way in that time. I'm always hesitant to go to pubs for meals because of the long waits to try and get you to buy more drinks.

Definitely worth the detour. Wonderful staff and great food with value.
