Play Pokies at The Royal Hotel Kalbar

Coming from Stanthorpe back to Brisbane, we turned off to have a meal and decided on The Royal. What a great idea. This little country town hotel has to have one of the best and tastiest and excellently cooked meals the four of us have had. Glad we stopped in.

We've never been disappointed here under this management. Friendly and helpful, generous meals and great deserts. Don't travel thru the Fassifern without stopping at the Kalbar Pub for at least a cold one.

The staff last night (25 May) were absolute stars! Thank you for looking after us (table collapse aside). The meals were tasty, fresh, and served with a warm smile! We felt very welcome ??'?

Day trip to kalbar for the first time and was so impressed with the lovely country style pub we came across. Excellent value for money, fantastic service from the manager at the bar and the ladies behind the bar. Felt very welcome and comfortable and even chatted with the locals and had a laugh or two. Even though it was our first time there we loved the fact when we left not only did the bar staff say "have a great afternoon " but the patrons in the public bar did as well. Cannot rate this pub and it's people there high enough and thank them for making us feel so welcome our first time there

Popped in for lunch. Very busy as we like to see our country pubs. Service was quick & friendly. Must say I had one of the best pub salads ever. Roast pumpkin & halloumi, excellent. Not so much the special of the rissoles which looked terrible, like they were cooked yesterday & reheated. I believe tasted ok!!
