Cosy, friendly hotel with lovely staff. We had a nice meal for a special occasion, the table had been set with flowers and glasses to make it look festive for us. Thank you so much Rachael.

I am a self confessed Royal Hotel fan. OK, I am also a fan of Criterion, Railway, Commercial and a number of other hotels. Anyway this is a ramshackled but solid old style hotel with friendly staff and a cast of local characters. Not the best of condition but clean and tidy and welcoming. Worth a visit for the interior.

Great local pub with lovely food and friendly locals. We had chicken schnitzel and chicken parma, lovely crispy chips, veg and salad. It's a 5 minute walk from the campground by the old station, what a lovely spot.
