Ok prompt service but chicken schnitzel bit hard in middle salad on steak could of had bit more dressing on it all round as a visitor from out of town clean venue and service polite

I have been UNFAIRLY TREATED HERE AT THE ROYAL HOTEL GATTON. If it can happen to me over literally something that wasn't My fault, it can happen to anyone, yet I get banned without a discussion whereby I could tell my side (the truth) . I was banned and thrown out over someone who indecently and inappropriately assulted me on the property , yet I'm the only one banned....I'm taking this matter as high as I need to. And the fella who got me banned is going to be reported for his behaviour but I hadn't been to do that yet when i copped this ban.
Not one person who works at the royal has asked me for my side of the story which I find highly degrading and the ombudsman will be contacted today regarding this matter.

So I've attempted to contact the manager regarding this unfairness but conviently he/she is never available to speak to me. Shame on the Royal hotel Gatton for UNFAIRLY BANNING THE LOCALS!!!

We only came here for meals while at Gatton show. Really good choice. Prompt service. And good serving size.

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary by eating our late lunch here around 2:00 PM. We had bad customer experience from one of the staff I think was named Shendon. She was the one who took my order at the counter and she was already getting mad when she couldn't get the price of my order correctly since I picked my order online and was just showing it to her to put it in the pos machine. She eventually got it when her coworker helped her. A few minutes later when our order arrived, she was the staff nearest to our table and I had asked her to take a picture of us for my partner and I's anniversary photo along with the food and flowers I surprised her in the hotel bistro. Her response was we have to do it quickly cause apprently they were "busy" considering theres only around 3-4 tables occupied in the bistro. She even rolled her eyes when she started walking from the counter to our table. All other staff was nice buy I felt like Shendon didn't wanna serve us at all.

Had our dinner in the Pub. The service was good and the food was great too.
Would love to try the other food next time.

Worst hotel we have stayed in in Australia. we could hear the music from the downstairs bar as if the music was in the room next to us. It lasted from 6 p.m. to 2:45 a.m. They stopped at 2:45 a.m. and we were able to sleep at 3 a.m., it's a scandal. we got up at 8am tired and we could still hear music from I don't know where. I had seen a comment about this issue 4 months ago now and they said it would do something about the noise. No one should sleep in this hotel because the downstairs bar is open every night until 2am. And otherwise, cleanliness is lacking. "Women's toilets" are used by men who don't flush and leave piss all over the bowl. There are also people shouting and talking very loudly until very late right outside your window even if it is closed. to RUN!!!!!!!

Adequate for a stopover, just needing a place to sleep in. Quite dusty furnishing, shared facilities not very clean. Glad for the vanity inside the bedroom. Walls paper thin, so could hear next room's phone ringing and the conversations. The entry to the accommodation was very dark, felt unsafe at night.

It was a great experience to have lunch or dinner at this restaurant. The food is delicious and perfectly cooked at your request. The steak was so yummy. Thank you for your hospitality, Royal Hotel Gatton.

Passing through Gatton on a work trip, stayed one night at the Royal Hotel.
Room was small and simple, but clean and comfortable with great AC.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Connor, who was extremely helpful and thorough in giving us a tour of the hotel and attending to our needs. Connor provided great service to us and all other bar patrons throughout the evening.
For dinner, we ordered steaks from the bistro, which were excellent and cooked to perfection.

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at The Royal Hotel tonight. The food was excellent (a credit to the chefs), and very reasonably priced as they allow Seniors specials for both lunch and dinner. The young staff were most courteous and helpful.
We particularly appreciated their helpful advice regarding the various options.
Many thanks for giving us one of the very best meals on our 5 week trip.

Great country town pub. The food is always fantastic, the staff are always friendly and helpful, and the patrons are friendly. Best feed in Gatton.
Also very wheelchair friendly with additional easy back access to the restaurant if you ask the staff.

The steak was cooked perfectly and the staff were very hospitable.
We turned up on Saturday night without a reservation not expecting it to be busy.
The staff were courteous and the meals were out very quickly and cooked brilliantly.

Very friendly staff who made us welcome and showed us to our table.
The food was excellent and well cooked and presented but the carrots were too crunchy as i have no teeth.
Minimal wait time and food was hot when served.
The dining room had a great presence, nice decor, clean, quiet and inviting
My only gripe is that the toilets although functional were not acceptable in cleanliness.

Certainly the best pub food in Gatton and we will definitely giving you more of our business

First time in Gatton and tried the food at The Royal.
Won't ever be back - whoever the cook is on Sunday lunch has no clue on food.
My partner said the burger was passable but not nice my ceaser salad was bare and tasteless - just lettuce with 5 croutons a sprinkle of bacon and a hard cold poached egg, and the lettuce left so much water in the bowl.

We were in Gatton from out of town on business. We had dinner at the Royal Hotel with our 2 year old. The atmosphere was perfect, the meals were brought out in order of entrees and mains in a timely fashion with the perfect time between. The prices were very acceptable for the great quality of the meals.

We had a birthday lunch there on Saturday. The bar staff were lovely. The food was great. The steak was perfectly cooked. The only negative was the stressed out old love waitress. She had a short temper and this was compounded when the prawn topper was omitted from my steak and wasn't really happy when I asked her to fix my issue. But other than that we would return for another meal

TRAVELLERS, TAKE NOTE... I was in Gatton for 3 nights for work. The Royal is the ONLY place you need to know about when considering eating out in Gatton and 5 stars doesn't seem to be enough. After working 14 hour days, the beer was ice cold, as it should be, and well priced. But the food was just sensational and also very well priced. Every dish was a winner, from calamari, to parmi's and especially the 400gm rump steak was just sensational and cooked to perfection. On top of that the staff were also amazing. Super friendly, fun to deal with and nothing was a problem for them which added to a top notch pub experience. Huge kudos to the chef (name unknown), and/or kitchen team. Exceptional work on the food. This place really topped off what i was expecting to be another mundane work trip.

A lovely old style hotel with great meals and they are very inexpensive. Nice and friendly and helpful. Nice spacious isles and seating.
Drinks are just a little expensive. Still over all a nice family hotel.

The steaks are cooked exactly right. I've had more overcooked steaks than I can count. But doneness here is precise.
Pretty loud as the evening wore on. Go early if you like quiet.

Recently refreshed, classic Aussie pub opened in 1914. Small rooms, well equipped, fresh linens, looks great. Long time since I slept in a single bed but got a good sleep. Good value nostalgia.

Had lunch there in a group of 5, friendly staff, everyone was super happy with their meals. I have recommended the bistro to others who have enjoyed their experience just as much!! Will definitely be going back!!🥂??'???'?

What a great place to eat would highly recommend. We were with friends and everyone enjoyed their meals. Would gladly eat there again when back up that way. Wish we had it in our town.

Had a delicious meal. The slow cooked lamb shank was really tender. Didn't even need the knife. Also loved the service from Ebony, Jade and Grace. They both were always kind and had a smile on their face when serving.

It's an older pub. But clean tidy. Comfortable environment. Staff were very helpful.

Meal was pretty good, price was reasonable, place was clean and very friendly helpful service. The only issue I had is going to be personal as I had ordered well done and it was medium well done. I prefer if it had of been cooked more however I still ate it and it was still fine hence the 5 stars.

Went there with a large group and everyone was satisfied with the food. I had the crumbed steak and really enjoyed it. Would go the mash over chips.

Driving through gatton today and decided to stop for lunch, best decision ever. Perfectly cooked steak, best pepper sauce, fresh cold drinks, super cheap! Loved it all!

Locals gatterring in the backyard under the accommodation all night long. Now is 1:47am! No hotel staff answer phone call, no one care. No one can sleep!!!

I went back after renovations were done. Good experience, good food, miniscule costing. Able to have alcohol with the really big meals As Arnie said' "I will be back"

Haven't been here for a while so pleasantly surprised with the renovations. Plenty of natural light and friendly and helpful staff. Had lunch while we were there and weren't disappointed. Had the Cheesy Bacon Garlic bread (yummy) mains consisted of BBQ Pork Ribs and a Thai Beef Salad. The beer was cold and only a short wait for the meals.
Bar service in the pokie room could use a bit of a shake up, almost non-existent. Had to go out to the main bar for the Keno. All and all it was a good day.

Amazing food and service. Great specials. Wing entree awesome sauce. Cocktails nice.

Steak cooked very well. However we did request Salad only with the steaks, but still they came out full of chips. Please check your orders at the pass before sending out. Other than that, the steak was excellent. Thank you.
