I love the beer in this beautiful place. The environment and the staff are so friendly.

We held our engagement lunch here and had the Mexian Fiesta buffet. Very reasonably priced. We had an absolutely amazing experience. The manager Jess was so helpful in organising and Maddy was so friendly and accomadating on the day. The food was delicious and a great set-up, compliments to the chef John! A very nice intimate space upstairs that felt cosy but still bright and airy. They went above and beyond to make it a special day for us.

We had a lovely 90th birthday ??. The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. The food came out fast despite how many of us were there. Every dish was amazing and the plates are plentiful.

Went to the Red Cow for lunch yesterday and had the lunch time 200g steak. I have eaten at a lot of pub and hands down the best steak I have ever had. Compliments to the Chef.

I've had the pleasure of visiting the Red Cow hotel in Penrith many times as I lived in the neighbouring areas for over 50 years, and I must say that it has always been a great hotel. The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the heart of Penrith and just a short walk from the train station. The surrounding area is beautiful, with plenty of picturesque villages and stunning countryside to explore. One of the highlights of the Red Cow hotel is the food. The restaurant serves a wide range of delicious dishes, including classic pub favorites and more sophisticated, contemporary cuisine. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, and the chefs clearly take great pride in their work. Overall, I would highly recommend the Red Cow hotel in Penrith to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and well-located place to whether you're visiting the area for business or pleasure, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Never go here ever. The bar staff is acting like she is upper class and nobody deserving of a drink. Disregards every person who is not from Sydney.
There was a group of us. Have more than 3 drinks you're cut off and they kick you out. Terrible TERRIBLE venue. NEVER GO HERE EVER. We will go out of our way to travel to another state before we ever go here again. No reply from the venue will ever compensate for the rudeness and volatility we felt coming here unless they sack the women that disregarded us in such a rude and disrespecting manner as ordinary paying customers.

We had lunch here yesterday and we were served farely quickly it wasnt overly busy but it was nice to sit inside to stay out of the humidity as the fay was super hot . The service was good and the staff were helpful letting us know there was a lift for my daughters pram for bubs. The menu is what you expect in a pub but it was all cooked very nicely and tender. My son in law had never been here before and said the food was pretty good. He orgered the burger like hubby did my daughter and I orgered the chicken snitty. I never eat all of mine although i ate nearly all of mine this time in the red cow. Over all not a bad pub.

Found Red cow on our travels. Looked good from the road. Once we were in and found a seat outside with smoke ash just about on every table, we ordered a beer which was $9 each, super crisp, may I add! Didn't find this place welcoming. The security outside that welcomed us in were actually nicer than the staff, no smiles, yawning, looked miserable. Maybe just not a good night we went, but It dosnt make it inviting to want to go back. Sorry ?

My gf broke up with me so I thoroughly I'd go drink my sorrows. The manager was attending me and made sure I had a great night. I got a little too drunk and she knew straight away what to do. Called me an Uber and I can't thank her enough. Fantastic service!! Thank you red cow and Jess!

Ive been coming to this pub on and off for years. Spoken highly of this place to friends and family and even been involved with the entertainment on occasion. My friends and I were having an evening to celebrate a friend of ours being in town and were one person short of a complete group. This was because the security guard decided that due to this person wearing shorts, and a dress code apparently states no shorts after a cerain time. If rules are rules, why were other people allowed to proceed in past security wearing shorts.

If there is some other motive this security guard had, it should have been put straight on the table as honesty. Our mate, a genuine human who could probably hold his alcohol better then most of the regular patrons, wouldnt hurt a fly was denied access based on a loose rule.

We just wanted to have a good night. To those good staff who have always been genuine people towards my friends and I. You know it as well as I do. It only takes one person to ruin an evening. And that night... You guessed it! It was the security guard.

I had 3 beers showing no signs of intoxication within 5 hours. I was in the pokies area they cut my service off because I was there that long.. Ridiculous. I would assume it's the amount of beers you have not how long you been there ..

Happy with the fish and chips and my cocktail. The cashier on the 2nd floor (colored hair with glasses) was rude and teaches customers how to order food from the menu in a way that she would understand. She needs to know customer service means and the menu itself.

Not once have I had a bad experience here. Service is great. Food is lovely and I feel it has a relaxed and homely feel. Huge shout out to Ingrid who is a ball of sunshine and is ALWAYS polite, entertaining and a professional. She adds so much to the place.

Wonderful atmosphere, food was brilliant.
Pool table upstairs. Highly recommended.

Caring and friendly staff! Good for a night out or just a casual drink and nice food, amazing Nachos!

Shared cocktail carafe is very tasty. Be careful with the time you arrive - we could order cocktails downstairs when we arrived and it was super speedy, then we got past 5:30pm (as in, 5:31pm) and we had to order upstairs (who had just opened) and it took a while because we had to wait for other customers to do food orders before they got to making our cocktail. Would be fine after half an hour or so as more staff would be on - just an awkward time to order! Also got free meat raffle tickets, which, amazing, love a meat raffle. ? Worth a stop just for people watching too. Prime position across from the station.

Ok. I bit noisy outside as can be expected as its near a very busy road. Efficient and knowledgeable bar staff. Bistro food is very good.

Love coming to the cow. Always a good meal but I had the nachos today and talk about boring. No salsa. So dry. I had it a few months ago and there was no salsa and thought it was a mistake. Had it again today and no salsa.

Best feature of the Red Cow Hotel is wheelchair access. The elevator to the 1st Floor outdoor verandah is brilliant.

Great atmosphere and service, good food at reasonable prices. And the beer is nice and cold.

I think Jess is really great, five stars for her.All the staff are good and caring during the virus.I would love to go upstairs very soon and enjoy their beautiful steaks, chips and salads with a lovely sauce on the side. Way cheaper in the cost than most top restaurants and lovely atmosphere.

Great food great atmosphere recently gone under refurbishment. Downstairs bar looks excellent cant wait for the limits due to covid to be removed so this place can get back to the legendary local it use to be.
