We saw a previous review of the Railway and decided to try it. We
ate in the beer garden as we had our JR pup with us, whilst the ambiance was a little lacking, the food more than made up for it... I had the pineapple chicken burger, not things I had ever thought of combining before but absolutely loved it. My partner had the huge porterhouse steak. It was cooked med-rare just as requested and thoroughly enjoyed by both her and the dog.

Every time I've ordered a meal, it has been spot on. It arrived within the estimated timeframe, delivered hot & fresh by friendly staff and absolutely delicious.

I cannot recommend The Railway Hotel Bistro enough!
I only wish I were a local so I could dine here more often.

Extremely impressed with the quality of food and such generous sized meals for the amount you pay! The service was great our entree was ready within 5 minutes and main meals within 10! Highly recommend!!!

The steak is great here, I got the porterhouse and my partner got the rum on- both very happy with our meals.

Nice little country pub with country hospitality. Place was full because of the Thursday special, ribs and rump for $30. Even with the sheer number of orders, my meal came out exactly as how I ordered. Well done to the front desk and kitchen.

Ordered 1x Hawaiian parma 1x schnitzel 1x kids schnitzel 1x garlic bread 1x side salad 2x gravy 1x aoli to a total of 85 dollars, They said it would be ready in 20 minutes so I got there in 20 minutes I proceeded to wait 40 minutes in the restaurant before receiving my food and when it was handed to me the bag with all the main meals was dropped on the floor and the waitress just picked it up and said it's ok. Having already waited an hour I drove 3 minutes home and the food was cold and I had received 1 wrong meal. Overall unhappy with the service although when I called to complain I received a full refund.

Quite a lot of options on the menu. With gf items clearly marked. Fast service considering it was the Saturday on elvis fest weekend! Friendly staff. Yummy food , awesome cocktails!

Had dinner here in October 2022. Place was clean and staff were good. The grilled chicken that I had was superb and my colleague had the steak which was great. Good selection of beers, could do with some decent whisky, single malt, apart from the very good.

The meals were huge. Steak perfectly cooked but the chicken parmigiana was somewhat dry. Dining area and staff were very good.

Had dinner there two nights in a row one being a public holiday. Prices were still the same and food was of exceptional quality. Could not fault the happy smiling staff. We are looking to relocate to Parkes and will definitely make this place out go to when we do. Thanks guys.

Had takeaway from here as it was a wet night. We ordered steak and did not have high expectations. It was superb! The meat was cooked to order (medium rare and medium). It was juicy and beautiful. Excellent meal! Highly recommended.

Nicer pub than others in the area. Lots of good food options. Their daily deals are really good value for money. Highly recommended. Only downside is they place their steak on top of other food on the plate.

We ate dinner here on our first night in Parkes and it was great. The menu had a wide range of choices to suit the different dietary preferences of our big group and every meal was delicious.

Me and 7 other friends went there for lunch and ordered parmas. 3 of us got food poisoning. Ruined our holiday! Called up and the manager pretty much said cool thanks for letting us know. Didn't offer any refunds or compensation. We were pretty disappointed

Came here for dinner from out of town on a Monday night with high expectations. Was eventually ushered to a table in the pool room. Why? Table for one deserves a table in a corner in the pool room? So you think I should have to move each time someone has a tricky snooker shot as I eat my dinner? I was then handed a menu and when I went to the bar to order, was told to go to another part of the bar to order - only to then discover a long line of people waiting to place orders. I was prepared to give you my business but your lack of customer service prevented this. Avoid the hype, avoid this place.

Really friendly staff, nice atmosphere, well priced drinks and meals. Unfortunately while my dinner looked great, the steak was tough... others looked to be enjoying their meals though and plenty of food deliveries were going out too so I was probably unlucky. The vegies were nice!

Very friendly and clean with service with a smile. Meals are very well priced and generous, we struggled to finish but because it was really tasty we forced it in. I only had a side of veggies and they were lovely and fresh, my husband and teenage boy had the parmys and they were massive. Definitely worth the visit if you are in Parkes looking for a great pub meal.

Dinner was nice. Good food usually. We went on pasta night so I bought a takeaway of a pasta I had had previously. I was a little disappointed. It seemed like there was less than usual and it was a little dry. It could have been because it wasn't eaten at the time it was cooked though.

Superb place for a meal. The outdoor rear dining area is a perfect little escape. The meals are superb and well priced. Specials each day. The staff are amazing! Highly recommended for a place to eat, especially dinner.

Came in early for dinner whilst travelling through. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of all 4 meals. Very busy hotel and was fully booked. Barramundi was a standout meal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Don't prejudge the hotel by its age and appearance outside!
