Drift bistro: ordered our food in two orders, two minutes apart. Two meals came in thirty minutes, four meals did not, all other tables had been served so we went to the counter. Staff at the counter said "It's only been 45 minutes", at about 55 minutes after ordering, the rest of the meals came, ranging from warm to cold.
Meanwhile, one steak from the FIRST meals that came had been sent with a request for a bit more time on the grill to bring the centre up to medium. 40 minutes later, long after the rest of the table and the rest of the restaurant had finished eating, an entirely new steak was delivered.
If at any point a staff member had come to explain, sorry we missed your ticket, sorry we accidentally threw your original steak out, or, we're cooking a new steak, that really would have helped.
While we were still waiting for the steak we asked for the manager - a quarter hour ago now. Wonder if they'll come?

Mate. Rode up from Canberra on my way to Brisbane. Got soaked in a short storm. Just wanted a cold beer and a hot meal. Got both at the Bowls club. Great service. Great feed. Cold beer.

Very nice club spacious, friendly staff, 600m from our accommodation great food parmigiana $22 with a drink.

Needed a GF meal for my LO. Chef happy to accommodate. Ordered chips with waitress - Chef came out to tell me they aren't cooked in a dedicated fryer - was grateful for Chef to be aware and go to the effort to find me to let me know. He did roast potatoes instead. Meal was great!

Came here for dinner the other week whilst staying in Port Macquarie (family live here) and I have to say the food was great quality. The burger with the works was incredible, I could honestly eat it everyday and the kids meals were great very good prices and the kids room is great for those younger kids. The only one negative was not much of a selection for vegetarian but otherwise top notch

Food was cooked well and tasty. Make you you book a table as it fills up fast.

The Drift restaurant is a very pleasant place. The club was busy from 6.30pm but quietened down by 9pm

The Pork Belly dish was amazing and my wife's rump was delicious and cooked perfectly.

We came here for a function last Saturday night. We had been told there would be nibbles provided at the tables and in addition we could order drinks from the bar and pizza (for some reason, only pizza) from downstairs. The room was attractively presented and the provided nibbles were nice. The selection of beers at the bar was pretty ordinary, with 4X and VB the main contenders when at the bowling club across town we can choose from a variety of interesting brews including two different XPAs, including a local. But the most ordinary part was when we went down to order our pizzas - there were about 4 or 5 choices, all meaty. Not even a plain cheese. Now, I know a lot of their customers might not be vegetarian but there are enough people out there who might be, or might not be even be actual vegetarians but just feel like something a little lighter tonight, that it seems like offering at least one non-meat option would make sense. The bartender taking orders said there were other options on the menu and we let him know we'd been told we could only order pizza and he said hm. Then we asked him if the kitchen could take the meat off one of the other pizzas before they cook it and he said, "you can take the meat off". Now that's customer service! (not)

A great place to dine. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Just on way to the Gold Coast and decided to stop in Port Macquarie as a mid stop. Despite many bookings at the restaurant the staff managed to find a table for my short visit.

Pays to be a member. Cheaper beer and food. Live music each Friday and Saturday. Great raffles. Staff are great always happy to have a chat.

Ring to book. We didn't have a booking. However, the amazing HANNAH???- who was allocating restaurant seating found us a table without any trouble. Hannah went above and beyond to help the patrons coming in for dinner who hadn't booked. She was very pleasant and friendly.
They had staff that were learning new skills on a busy day , and they did a great job...... shout out to COOPER... great job taking orders and to those who have the patience to teach ??'?
Tracey selling raffle tickets is always happy to have a chat and makes you feel welcome. There was never a time when the staff were doing nothing.

Had dinner here on a Saturday night in November 2022. The club was packed with almost all tables taken, with the service fast and staff friendly. My chicken main was well cooked and tender. The club is quite large with a number of different including some outdoor space, a tab area and multiple bars.

Food was great but not a fan of spending 20min in a line waiting to order while the friends I wanted to go out with are sitting on the table chatting . If your going to charge restaurant prices you really need to start taking orders at the table like a restaurant at the moment it feels like I'm eating at a mix between McDonald's and a really nice restaurant. At one time there the like up to order ran almost 3/4 up the side of the eatery I felt sorry for the ppl straight there. Great food ?

Port city bowling club is such a great place to visit. Not a member but staff were very helpful and obliging, taking me through the steps that allowed me in as a visitor. The club has great amenities and one of the big pluses is their prices for drinks were very reasonable. Food was great too. Well worth a visit

Enjoyed our visits to Port City Bowling Club. Restaurant was great & convenient to our stay at the Observatory opposite town beach.
Both my husband & I were very impressed with the courteous, friendly & efficient young staff. They were more than happy to communicate with us ensuring we were happy with our visit. Katie was a great role model with her excellent communication skills.

After cracking a wobbly at Westport we came up here and had a much better run.
We had no massive wins but it was alright.
The club was clean and tidy with modern decorations and decor.
Staff were friendly and rather quick.
If we are back in Port Mac it's here and Panthers for a night out.

Recently has had a revamp to restaurant. Good $22 specials several days a week. Spacious club, with various lounge areas.

Great atmosphere, service and food! Very modern and clean and the menu is very affordable.

This place is fabulous. Terrific service from walking in to walking out. Food was delicious with very speedy service.

Ordered takeaway, due to lock down, last Saturday night, $49 mates deal. It was amazing and my family was happy, we ordered tonight a mates deal & date night deal. Absolutely beautiful, fresh and couldn't fault, the service was 10/10. From help over facebook, to phone ordering, to just great service and top food. Thank you so much, sorry I did catch your names. I highly recommend trying.

Great club. My partner and I were visiting from out west and thought we'd pop in. So glad we did. Staff were great. There was one lady with dark hair (Sorry for the life of me can't recall her name) who was the duty manager and she made us feel so welcome with her friendly service and bubbly personality. Will be telling all my friends back home to visit. Thanks for having us port city!

Nice club. Typical of club staff an effort to be there .. Drinks over priced for a club. The band would have to be the worst I have ever seen totally tone deaf. Food is a total rip off, restaurant prices and sub standard food... This place needs a good shake up...

We visit the Drift Cafe for dinner each time we are at Port Macquarie. Food has always been good. Tonight we ordered 2 spiced vegetable salads with chicken and prawns. We we're served two plates with spinach leaves and a few pieces of pumpkin. No broccolini or cauliflower as stated on menuNo dukkah as stated on menuNot what was described on their menu. We mentioned it to a waitress but she didn't seem too interested! Very disappointing!

Went to the club during the week. Hadnt been for a couple of months. Usually I look forward to going as the food has been excellent over the past five years, but very very disappointed with the menu this time. I dont know why, but they have cut the menu by half and there was nothing that appealed to me on the menu. Wont go back unless things change. The service was excellent tho.

Best roast I have had in a long while lamb tender, potatoes crispy but still fluffy inside, baked pumpkin and onion crisp beans served with a gravy and mint jelly. Husband had chicken parma and enjoyed it as well great meals and great value for money. Great service from the staff.

Drift in Port City Bowling Club is a great spot for a coffee or a meal. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The food was delicious, fresh and made with quality ingredients. We had the spring rolls with salad and the flathead fillets with salad. Quality food at reasonable prices.
