My mates and I stayed here whilst taking in the LIV golf event. We had 3 rooms over 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. The rooms were clean and modern whilst still holding on to the retro vibe. Large 75 inch tv on the wall and a comfortable king bed. The restaurant dining area has an abundance of space and the menu has an extremely large selection of good size meals. Karli and her staff are beyond expectation. You can usually find a few good staff in hospitality establishments mixed in with a few non carers however every single staff member in this place is a superstar. Nothing is ever to much and someone is always on hand to accomodate your needs. Very down to earth and welcoming. A breath of fresh air and can't wait to be back next year.

Was so surprised when I checked in to my room here. I got Bali vibes ! Bed was so comfortable. Shower was nice. Pool was great. Food there in the bistro area was fabulous as well as the retro style decor. Will definitely be back!

Eight day stay. Truly outstanding service by all staff. Represents really good value for somewhere off the beaten path. Easy road & rail access. Close to very good local cafes for brunch. Would stay again.

Outstanding customer service!! I have arrived the hotel after a long travel, with two heavy bags and one of the bags had broken wheels. Before even seeking for assistance, the gentleman working there, came to me and carried my bags till reception. ( don't know his name. But he has a long white beard. :)). He also mentioned that to the receptionist and the receptionist helped me to carry my bag all the way to my room !

Just had the wife's birthday gig there. The staff were brilliant the food was great the venue perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

So good since the reno's!!!! The pulled pork tacos and crispy chicken entrees are to die for. Good cocktails, reasonably priced. All the staff I had contact with were awesome, will be back.

This is a great venue. Real people, real food. Food is absolutely great. I have not had a bad meal there yet. Worth a visit.

Haven't tried the restaurant since the upgrade, but the whole set-up is great. They have an old bus you can dine in and an old caravan were you order your meals. The pokies room is great offering lots of machine

I've been here in the past and thought it was pretty average, but happy to report the latest experience was pretty good.

Atmosphere was intense with hordes of children on a busy Friday night. The place was pretty messy as a result, and unfortunately nobody really cleaned up while we were there...

Aside from that though, staff were friendly and the food was top notch - I rate the "cheesesteak" (it's not as sickly as it looks). The chicken sandwich also received rave-reviews.

Would eat again.

Been a local for years are just haven't visited for a meal! Probably understandable before their more recent make-over, but I'm glad I finally checked out the restaurant! Pleasantly surprised! An absolutely beautiful space! Had dinner there for my 21st and the food was incredible, the staff were super friendly and accommodating and the drinks particularly the cocktails were delicious! I love the retro 50s/60s vibe and decor and the whole layout is really versatile. A massive thanks to all the lovely staff for the incredible service! Loved that we could have dinner and then go hit the dance floor with the DJ after because then we had the best of both worlds! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere different to celebrate any occasion!

It was a great venue, with the dinner room theme being a bit of fun also.
The meals were great and well priced, as were the drinks.

Went there today with my husband and boys for Easter lunch it was absolutely amazing! The hotel and the decor is absolutely stunning the whole design is so spectacular and the food was absolutely delicious and worth it. Great prices. awesome cocktails. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend them

I've had a better meal here than I did yesterday. Admittedly it was a late lunch and maybe the chef was tired as was our food. We gave the food an average 6/10. Burger was dry, chips were dry, salad was old, steak was good, fish was dry. They also had a function so maybe the kitchen staff were tired. However I expect better food for their prices.

This is a beautiful place to eat and drink with family and friends. There is a great selection of food, with a options for people who with food exceptions (Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, no garlic etc.)
Went for a big family gathering on boxing day, staff very polite and helpful. The kids enjoyed the big bus! We will definitely be back!

Well - we didn't stay in the rooms so I can't comment about those. Calamari entree was yummy and fresh - about $18. Prices average/mildly expensive for pub food - schnitty parmigiana was about $27 from memory - steak $38.00. Staff super friendly. Decor eclectic - you can go drink in an old fashioned bus if you want to. Wasn't busy on the day we were there.

I loved this hotel. The food was great. My salmon was cooked to perfection. I thought the prices weren't too bad, 3 appetisers and 3 mains cost $130. Their retro decor was fantastic. It had a friendly, relaxed, comfortable vibe happening, with great service to go with it.

Went for the first time after driving past one night seeing it all lit up inside.
It's a nice Miami vice feel to it an a very cool place to visit, very extensive selection of craft beers, and alot on tap.

When the Peninsula first reopened, we weren't fans. There were a few kinks with food and service that they had not yet ironed out. Some of the menu choices were not pleasant.

We decided to revisit again a month or two ago when the new menu was released. And we are so so glad we did! Absolutely fantastic and a complete turn around from when they first opened! We have been back multiple times now and we have absolutely loved every menu item we've sampled and we are indeed very impressed. Absolutely excellent food, attentive service and the beautiful decor and atmosphere. Such a welcome addition to the peninsula and a place that will become a regular for us.

Loved all the Retro decor.
But the room was freezing cold. Yet the empty room at the back on the way out was as warm as toast but empty.
The food was good. Loved my huge Chicken Schnitzel.❤️
However, table service staff member needs to be trained in the way they speak to a customer when a meal served was incorrect.
I will visit again for the food..generous serves good prices and very tasty 😋
But please, please have the main room heated on cold days.

Great space, great staff, and great food. The kids loves playing in the bus.
Only thing I can fault is their beef schnitzels are thick and they sent out the wrong gravy, luckily they serve it on the size so it was replaced quickly and easily.

This venue has been on the TO DO LIST since it was renovated! If you haven't visited because you remember the dingy old boathouse tavern then a total rethink is in order!
It is a light, bright happy place: the decor reflects the surrounding area: Retro and Industrial meets the beach ???-.It may seem a bit eclectic but it really works!
The relatively new Venue Manager is a delightful hostess and the bar and waiting staff efficient and attentive!
With a comprehensive, well priced menu there is something for almost every taste and need; from house made duck spring rolls, crispy pork belly tacos through to a variety of large serve main meals! Our meals were perfectly cooked and presented! The flavour combinations in my Thai Banana Leaf Chicken Salad were a delight to my palate. My daughter loved her Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, with its succulent, crumbed full breast of chicken! The serving sizes were larger than many places and for us more than sufficient!
I can see why this Hotel is becoming a favourite for so many people!
Daily specials, happy hours and upcoming Trivia nights ( as of October) along with special events are making this a place to be seen at! We will certainly be back! 😍😍

Looks fantastic after the renovation. Food is very nice, bit a little bit on the small serving side for me. Saying that, its probably what size I should be eating. Friendly helpful staff

Remodelled in a quirky style with a caravan as the food order counter. Menu a bit up market with a few 'normal' items as well. Food good quality and tasty. Worth a visit.

I can not rate the Hotel as I live in Port Adelaide so local BUT I love to rate the restaurant.

Introduced to it several months ago checked it out and was positive surprised.
A week or so I linvited a friend there, he too loved it so much that he drives from far south of Adelaide to there just for having dinner or lunch there.

What better recommendation than people making a several hours drive just to enjoy the atmosphere and the beautiful meals accompanied by a lovely tasting alcohol-free cool beer?

Our rating: 10/10

Don't read the negative reviews of this place, attention seekers will do what they have to do to get noticed. Food is delicious, portions are hefty and way more than you expect, the staff are great and friendly. The music is lovely too and they have big screens showing films and sports. Go visit and enjoy.
