Nice pub tucked away slightly from the main drag at Circular Quay. Small beer garden out back which is nice and shaded perfect on a warm summers day.

The upstairs cocktail bar and eatery is quite large and open with a massive TV for side entertainment.
The day was warm (+30°C) however, with the windows open and fans circulating air, it was quite comfortable considering the amount of patrons.
Our function had chosen a set menu. The food was well presented and very nice to the pallet. The bar has a good selection of beverages both on tap and in cans or bottles.
Seating ranged from high tables with barstools to lower, more traditional seating.

Can recommend the Beef Brisket Burger and Wagyu Cheeseburger which were full of flavour. Nice outdoor area next to a small public green space. Enjoy.

A bar conveniently located right by the Customs House and Circular Quay light rail. A few times I passed by here at nights and it would get pretty busy. I was here late afternoon for a quick drink so can't say much about the foods. Sat outside not realising smoking was allowed ???' next to a chain smoker....

I went to the toilet & my table was immediately reassigned. Along with the 2 drinks & my entree...all binned. Manager was an absolute patronising, condescending, arrogant ignorant pig.
I would not recommend this place to anyone that would expect any kind of service or hospitality. Absolutely disgusted ?

One of the good pubs in the area, two levels with smoking area outside and the first floor. Massive screen on the first floor for sports, the chicken wings were pretty good too.

Great pub down at Circular Quay with food and a rooftop bar. Out the back is a smoking area as well.

Wonderful upstairs bar with open sky above. Friendly service, great drinks and wonderful hot chips cooked to perfection. Made for a great social catch up.

Had a good salt and pepper calamari, pizzas were great and the tequila hit the spot. Nice vibe and wasn't too packed. Great open roof space too

Extremely easy and fast venue to book large standard groups thanks to Michelle and prompt replies from the team! A classic pub mixed with music for a late Friday in the heart of Circular Quay with ample space for multiple bookings upstairs is one to check out.

Wonderful relaxed atmosphere for a 30th party, central location for all public transport services.Staff were exceptional in all areas from bar to meals .very attentive to all requests. Food is reasonably priced and delicious.
No problems to store a cake and deliver cutlery and plates for 30.

A friend and I went to the Opera House and afterwards decided to sit and have a drink/chat at this venue on the 5/3/23. I'd walked past many times and it always seemed to have a casual, relaxing vibe.
Our experience here, however, left a lot to be desired. First of all, for a pub in the city, they don't serve cocktails past 8:30pm, and they close ridiculously early. Second, there was only one bar staff member that was actually welcoming, and he was the one that actually served me - the other one that I initially encountered pretty much sneered at me and proceeded to serve some girl before me, even though I was first in line. The same guy later harassed the security guard multiple times and ordered him to kick us out 5min before closing time while we were enjoying our catch up over wine (the only thing they were serving other than beer, apparently). We'd only been in the pub for about half an hour.
The security guard himself was far more friendly than the staff, and that says a lot. We also noticed that the same particular staff member who was rude to me earlier wasn't pressuring the security guard to harass or kick anyone else out early, only us.
Absolutely unnecessary and rather discriminatory way to treat customers, and I suspect it had something to do with the fact that my friend is from Africa, as there were two other groups that were behaving rather unruly; one group in particular sitting behind us was a group of English men, openly discussing how cool it was to take drugs all night. Neither one of those groups were approached or asked to leave like we were.

Had the slow cooked lamb, fried Mac and cheese and slaw. It was fine, a bit cold, not much flavor. Other order was the parmegiana and chips which were good.

Good city pub. Bistro food was fine (I had a pretty good pizza) and the drink prices were acceptable enough. Staff are friendly and professional. Although I did see anything untoward, I assessed there was enough security available to ensure there would be no issues.

A lovely location and the food was excellent, I had the pork steak for mains, prawns for entree.
The staff were capable and friendly.

Great food, nice beers on the tap, few liquid gems in the bar on a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and professional. The best option in the area for a pub meal with a pint or for a whole night catch up!

I attended with my running group after running in to Vivid. We surprisingly found seating for 14 and enjoyed our experience. The food was good quality and most of it came out in a timely manner. The atmosphere was also good. Great pub in a great location.

Great beer, great service staff. Food..not so much. They weren't busy so no excuse. Two of us asked for steak medium rare. It came out well done. Worse yet was the broccolini was charred so much it was burnt beyond recognition. We ate what we could, we were on a time frame. Any cook or chef that thought this was good enough to send out we figured was not gonna send something out next time that was better after a complaint.

We came for a quick bite and drinks and were happy to see a great selection of beers.

We ordered the $1 Hot Chilli Chicken Wings & Chips.

The place was nice and quiet, so we got to enjoy our drinks and food.

Service was also quick and friendly.

The Paragon Hotel is located in Loftus Street, Sydney, across from Circular Quay. I caught the train to Wynyard and then caught the connecting train to Circular Quay Station from Platform 6.
We had booked a table in the dining area upstairs. It's a typical, vibrant pun atmosphere. The food's not bad at reasonable prices.

Always a great Friday sesh after work! Shame we can't sit up stairs once the office folk finish work ?
Thought Sydney was past discrimination of persons with high visibility!
Good selection of beer, reasonable price at happy hour.

This was a place for me to meet up with a friend.
Staff were friendly, but over $8 for a VB schooner, I'll go elsewhere next time.
It's at the Quay, I get it! Nice upstairs.

Beautiful top storey dining space, rooftop is not fully enclosed and the hanging wall garden creates a nice space. Pictured is the Poke bowl, will definitely be eating this again, a lovely light mix of flavours.

I have avoided the Paragon for 20+ years, because my evening either began or ended poorly based after visits here in my youth (my fault alone, not theirs!).

The selection of drinks was very good and the food was great. So good that we have stopped by a further 2 times since being in the area.

In convenient location with easy walk to train, ferry and tram. Clean and nice decor. Beer prices average what is around but we were there early so missed out on specials. Didn't try food but saw others eating and it looked like decent pub meals, though need to compare prices. It appears there might not be enough seating but that is because of Covid-19 circumstances. Staff were polite. We were waiting for a ferry and were only there for two drinks. Would have liked to rate 3.5 stars as it's a nice little pub in convenient location. Definitely will return to try food, check out specials and clientele.

If this was a place that tried hard to be something they're not the review would be way worse. I ordered the southern fried chicken burger and got the stingiest of pieces of chicken, not even crumbed just a wafer thin piece of barely seasoned chicken. As I say didn't expect much at all bit this didn't even match that!

Great interior and lunch specials. Food was good. Bar tender not thrilled about making cocktails and overfilled glass with ice. I watched as person ordering asked him to pour out some of the ice and tender huffed about it.

Food is ok and slightly overpriced for what it is but that is the general trend in the CQ area. They have a coupon in the entertainment book which makes the price a bit more reasonable. Predominantly a white collar crowd. Better places to eat nearby prior to coming here for a drink. Don't have the sound on during many major sporting events.
