Had dinner there last night was the best meal I think I've ever had was absolutely delicious and awsome service highly recommended

We had dinner at the Paragon and it was excellent. The atmosphere is very good, open fire was inviting, the dining section is very clean and comfortable. The food we ordered was hot, delicious and great value for the money. We enjoyed or meal and a drink afterwards and enjoyed our evening. We will come back.

Close to home. Family friendly. The beef sandwich (lunch menu) was delicious. I didn't like my food being served in a fry basket. What's the matter with putting food on a plate? The sandwich should also have been cut in half.

My wife and I visited last night for a meal. The place was very busy, even on a Tuesday night, but we were directed by a very lovely lady to a table at the front of the pub. She also made sure we were ok a number of times. We both had the sausages and mash and they were the best bangers and mash we have had for a long while. Good food at a reasonable price. Also the wine list had a lot of local Mudgee wines so a good opportunity to taste them so we can go and buy some today at the door of the wineries. Great country pub.

We weren't sure if we needed to make a reservation on a Sunday night but lucky we did because the restaurant area was packed!! Absolutely full all tables with a long line at the order station as well as at the bar. The roast of the day was priced fairly but the pork was dry and peas were not fresh. The $46 rib eye was actually quite good. The restaurant garden inside was very warm thanks to multiple gas heaters and a fireplace and we were happily surprised they even had a small game room for young kids which our kid loved. Sundays incur a 10% surcharge.

Edit: we waited >30mins for dessert and when we asked they had forgotten to put our order through. Just be aware Sundays are crazy busy.

Good value and tasty meals. Nice ambience, friendly staff. We had the Ribs & Steak and the Chicken Schnitzel. Good sized portions and well cooked. We will be back regularly.

Staff were friendly. Food was fast and efficient. We had the $14 lunch specials. My husbands fish and chips he said was great. I had a blt wasn't fantastic, could only taste the aoli, bread roll was toasted so made it dry and I still haven't found the tomato. I would still go back as it wasn't terrible just could have been better.
The pub itself has a nice atmosphere.

I've tried a bunch of different places to eat in Mudgee for lunch and dinner, but this is the one that won me over.

This truly is a great country pub that makes you feel welcome on every visit. The staff are very friendly & super service orientated, especially Alex, who treated us more like family than patrons, on the two occasions we visited the Paragon while in Mudgee for a short stay (we want to adopt Alex!). The atmosphere & decor in this place is amazing, as is the food from a varied menu which is very reasonably priced. A great selection of beers on tap including my favourite Resches & a good selection of wines either by the glass or bottle. I don't often rave about a pub but the Paragon is an exceptional country pub that my wife & I totally recommend you visit when in Mudgee...& thanks again Alex for making our visit a very special experience.?

Visiting Mudgee overnight we decided to stop in for dinner. It was so lovely and welcoming. Every single staff member greeted us....EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!! Staff were friendly and constantly buzzing around. It was great to see. Meals were great and priced well. Nachos, parmi and veges(I would of liked some fresh veges like brocolli would of been yum) and my parents had a share board, they loved this.
The decor and atmosphere was modern and alive. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the ambiance, decor and cleanliness of the bar area. Stayed in the hotel and it was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Also nice modern decorative touches that made it feel nice.

Terrible. We have stayed at accommodation for two nights. Dinner last night with Burnt lamb cutlets. Waited an hour for our dinner next night with 4 grandchildren which were hard to control after an hour after garlic bread. 6 pieces of beef in salad bacon raw In chicken burger. She did eat chicken. But bacon raw. Could cause food poisoning. Did complain and said would give one desert. Is impossible to share between 4 kids at the table. Service poor. My family have just moved to Mudgee looking forward to many trips to see my family. But not at the Paragon.

Manager of the restaurant went out of his way to find us a table on a very busy Saturday night 26th March with many people in town.
We had a great meal and bar staff also friendly and efficient.

Came for lunch and really enjoyed my lunch; garlic bread with bacon and cheese, salt and pepper squid. The squid was really fresh and lightly coated.

Went here for lunch with family. Huge meals and really tasty food. I think the best chips I've ever had!!! Reasonable prices. Nice dining space indoors or out. Thoroughly recommend. ?

Very nicely renovated eating area. food was tasty and came out exceptionally quick for a large order. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nice pub meal.

Nicely refurbished, older style country pub.
Small bar area, though ample indoor/outdoor seating for meals.
A selection of Mon-Fri Lunch Specials available. I savoured the Bushman's Bangers: fat, juicy sausages on a bed of buttery mashed potato, ladled with rich onion gravy and topped with sweet baby peas.
Small kitchen, so a little wait when busy, but meal was worth it.

If your looking for hospitality this is not the place to go, you should try the Lawson or the Oriental. The only reason to have to be in here would be a shady one. Extraordinarily ironic name

Great place to book a workplace Xmas party

For $70 a night only a Karen would complain. Room was clean. Shared bathroom was clean. When all of Mudgee was completely booked out this was a great find. Food was not too bad either. Maybe the smoking in the non smoking areas could be better managed or maybe Im being a little precious. All in all great job by the staff. Location is great too. Well done Paragon Hotel and staff.
