Almost a year ago I set out on a mission to see the guy I liked play a show in Bathurst. On my journey there I decided to pull off to see a glow worm tunnel just before Lithgow. Much to my surprise, the wet conditions on the road sent my car flying off into a ditch in the national park where I was stranded for 3 hours before a very kind random man found me and my totalled car and drove me all the way to Bathurst so I could continue my quest despite being covered in mud and probably needing medical attention - the car remained in ditch for a few days, it needed to be taught a lesson. Upon my arrival at the Panorama Motel in Bathurst I was understandably still in a state of shock and the man at reception was so lovely and kind, my eyes were incredibly puffy and I was still kinda crying and again, covered in mud; so I can't imagine what he thought had happened to me but the kindness did not go unnoticed (unlike my state of mental derangement which was VERY noticeable). Compared to the literal ditch I had spend majority of my day in, the room was heaven. It was warm and clean and provided the quietness I needed to recoop from my near death experience. The man at reception was kind enough to give me a free drink voucher, I'm sure I looked like I needed it, and I had some food there before I continued on my quest for love in Bathurst. Everything was lovely. It was a nice vibe in the TAB where I decided would be a good place to sit (?) and the staff would refill my drink when they noticed it getting low. You guys hold a very special place in my heart. Long story short, I did find love in Bathurst, we've been together for nearly 9 months now, I like to think the Panorama Motel had something to do with that. And for that, I am forever grateful. RIP my car

YES, finally a restaurant that can cook salmon perfectly. Extremely juicy and tender. Chips were crunchy and creamy, salad was delicious. Couldn't go past the Tuross with caramel sauce and icecream.
Extremely busy when we were there but definitely worth the wait. Will be back for sure.

Worst experience ive had with food. Half the ingredients on my plate/burger. Bad service. Takes longer than an hour for the food, the food has no taste. Nice staff tho.

GREG Restaurant manager absolutely disgusting management! Paid $45 for a steak well done, came out black like ash spat it out returned it. Took a near hour from when I ordered for a replacement and the place was dead. Got the second one tough as bones breaking my jaw to eat it complained came back second and third day to speak to Manager Greg who then told me "he didn't believe me" JOKE of an establishment coming from Management in hospitality for 20years myself.

Been waiting for over fifty minutes waiting for entree seems as though they are more interested in getting their takeaways over their customers waiting in dining area.Their service is what one would call piss poor Would I recommend this place not a chance in hell second rate.

Place is a joke, told the steak on the menu would take an hour to cook so we ordered something else, pub wasn't even half full and we ended up waiting over an hour for meals anyway. Should've ordered the steak. Meals were very average.

The rooms are standard but the heating works good. The internet is good. The restaurant / pub is overall very good. Good prices as well. They also do breakfasts, but the coffee was average. Overall good comfortable place to stay.

My partner and I stayed at the Panorama Hotel for 3 nights.
Unfortunately we had a few things that made our stay unpleasant.
The shower in our room had almost no pressure at all, the Android TV would freeze and not allow us to navigate its menu or apps and the king bed was 2 single beds pushed together. We visited the hotel that is part of the motel. We entered the pokies area to find every seat taken by a group of overly intoxicated women and men who were just hanging about and not playing the machines. When we asked the staff if they could ask them to move so we could play the machines they discussed who would be the one to move the people on as it was their friends occupying the area. As the intoxicated group was asked to leave the pokies area, the young intoxicated girls became very aggressive and fal mouthed yelling across the room. The group vacated the seats but remained in the pokies area while the 2 staff on duty sat down and started playing the pokies machines them selves.
These customers should have been removed after their drunk tantrum and why were staff playing pokies machines? Time of issue was aprox. 8pm on 29/07/2023.

Reception staff friendly. Room was pleasant but very small. Housekeepings idea of making a bed and my idea is vastly different. Very sloppy. The car park was hideous with the pool slapped in the middle of it.
My complaint is with the lack of response:service from the bistro. We called and left a message advising we wanted to book a table, we were staying at the hotel in room # and left our mobile number for a call back. Nothing heard back from them at all. We ended up walking up the road for dinner at a very nice steak house with exceptional service so maybe a blessing that the bistro at this venue ignored us

The room was comfortable and clean. The pub was great. Nice meals and good, friendly atmosphere. Big screen TV for the footy and a guitar player. There was no need to leave the premises. It was all there.

My family and I stayed the night at the motel. After a 4 hour drive, we were looking forward to a big feed and we weren't disappointed at all amazing portions.
But our room was a little lackluster. The bathroom was riddles with insects (crickets) and the shower head didn't stay in place and had lime build-up.

Make sure you get an email to confirm your booking and price, we were quoted one price and when we arrived they wanted $50 more.
The girl behind the desk did the right thing and helped with the price but still not was originally quoted.

Worst customer service EVER!!!...my Father landed from a long flight from Kenya more than 20hours,then arrived at the hotel/Motel that he had already booked.Only to find out it was closed,upon enquiry for my Father to get access to the hotel since, it was closed I spoke to a lady called REINA to try and find out how she could be of assistance..only for her to be rude, offering no solution and worst of all telling me that it is not her problem that my Father cannot contact her directly(since he's a foreigner and doesn't have an Australian number I was the only intermediary )and she hang up on me more than five times with no solution....I tried to give her suggestions,but she was still not helpful and just super rude... I know that there are policies to be followed by the hotel/Motel...which I totally understand...But Guests should be respected and treated equally regardless of their race or background...This has been very stressful and frustrating for myself and my Father even more...It's a shame to have to experience such an ordeal... and to have such an employee as a link between clients and the hotel...not a good image..I think customers should be a priority.

Alex, Gabby & Tyler gave excellent service to an awesome crowd. Remembered drinks, same prices which is rare, showed kindness to patrons.

We just had dinner and had to send two meals back almost untouched the waitress was very polite and apologised reported to kitchen but no response was forthcoming, very disappointed we were not offered another option as these meals were inedible. Six regular customers lost.

Nice place for a day or two to stay. Price is reasonable and location is best in the city. Rooms are tidy and comfortable however toilet is not up to the standard. Need better cleaning.

Do I have to review this place? Yep, I feel that I must. I attended for dinner on the race weekend, Saturday night. The bar was busy, the lounge was average. Ordered a beer battered barramundi and chips (and garlic bread starter) as I was told the fish was fresh. Went to the bar and ordered a Tooheys OLD. The staff asked 'What's Tooheys OLD? Am I in NSW? Garlic bread came first...very nice with the beer. 30 minutes later I asked where my dinner was? 'Oh, are you waiting for a meal?' 10 minutes later dinner turned up. The fish was as hard as a frisbee...crispy inside and out. Dry and tasteless. Twice cooked? The chips could have been used as nails. The salad was wilted with a spoon of cheap dressing dolloped on the top. First prize for being the worst meal I have ever paid for! No photos as it wasn't worth the pixels.

Well mentained room, clean and tidy. Nice and yummy food in their restaurant and bar. Huge parking facilities. Convenient location to all city attractions, cafes, shopping centres and supermarkets. Also, affordable and good place to travel with kids and family.

It was fair accommodation. Unfortunately had an upstairs room, when I asked for downstairs, I was told it's not possible as all budget rooms are upstairs. No mention of this when booking. Not very helpful for elderly with mobility issues. May I suggest a handrail on the stairs to reception? Room was clean, no toaster, plates or cutlery. Must be expected to eat in the restaurant. Don't expect to return

We had the privilege to hold our wedding reception here. It was the most perfect night. The bar staff (Jen and Corey) were amazing and made everyone feel comfortable, involved and gave out positive vibes for everyone to end our night on a high. Thank you to the bistro as the food was everything we asked for and more. The guests all enjoyed every bit of it and was catered to everyone's dietary requirements. The accomodation was perfect for all family and friends who travelled from afar as everything was close for them to enjoy and rooms where perfect. A big thank you to Cindy In reception that made everyone's bookings a breeze and gave us the satisfaction of allowing us to set the room with how we'd imagined.
11/10 would recommend this establishment to anyone organising a function big or small, an overnight stay or even just a counter meal and a schooner. You will not be disappointed.

Rooms were tidy and comfortable, centrally located, restaurant and pub at the front was convenient. Centrally located to shops and main street. Breakfast was delish and massive. Only small thing was not a fan of the coffee to my taste.

The rooms are clean but quite dated and basic. The restaurant is excellent with very large portions at normal pub prices. The staff are extremely friendly and ready to help when needed. They have family size rooms which accommodate 6 people so it was great for my family of five.

I had my wedding reception here on the June weekend. The staff were amazing, so kind and helpful. They took excellent care of us. We stayed in one of th newly renovated rooms and it was beautifully clean. I appreciate that as a professional cleaner myself. Would 10/10 recommend to friends and family

I went there on a Saturday lunch and ordered a classic caesar salad and half of my bowl was just STALE OLD BREAD no crunch no toasty croutons just plain hard old stale soggy bread. Disappointing for such a classic basic simple pub salad.

Disappointing room. Paint peeling off the walls, cracked wall, gap between the top of the door and the door jam. Otherise comfortable. The saving grace for the Panorama is the fantastic staff. Friendly, helpful and professional. Bistro and bar staff equally so. The bistro and bar areas are bright and welcoming. Great food at the bistro with reasonable prices. With some maintenance of the rooms this could be the best place to stay in Bathurst.

The rooms are old and show their age. They are also budget. They were tidy and kept clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff friendly and the Bistro was good. It gave us what we wanted a place to sleep between adventures around the area.
The TV's couldn't receive HD channels and although advertised no instructions on using the Casting features could be found. We didn't stay to watch tv but at the times we wanted to just relax and veg out the TV was somewhat limited.

Its good to have accomodation at a pub.Pool .friendly service. Take pool towels. Very popular place with 70 rooms.Good food.Plenty of room.Backs on to the markets/showgrounds

Average motel. Rooms and bathrooms felt dated, and although breakfast was included, you only get some cereal, juice and a sickly-sweet muesli bar unless you pay extra. There was a duck in a pool though, so that was pretty great.

Clean and quiet rooms with pub and bistro conveniently located within the premises. Comfy beds that are not worn out. Room rate comes with breakfast however COVID restrictions don't allow buffets. Additional charge for hot cooked breakfast. Staff are all smiles, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return.

I had an issue with my hot water on the first morning I stayed. Two minutes of running hot water than nothing. Cigarette burns in my spare blanket. I understand things go wrong and that is okay but I should have been compensated An apology from management in my opinion is not enough.Renovations are really homely only the bathroom had no heating and were freezing.I cant justify being $50 more expensive than a motel only minutes away (that I regularly stay at) And offer much much less
