Stopped at Owen pub today. first time having a meal there. Had chicken snizell. With mushroom gravey and chips. It was very average, and the chicken snizell was burnt all the way round. Small salad bar average.

I've just had a of beers here publican and locals very welcoming could live there great country town

Nice little country pub, be sure to book as it's well patronised by locals and travellers alike. Large open dining room with nice leadlight windows for ambience. The staff are friendly and only too happy to help.
We ordered and the wait time was minimal. The large juicy schnitzel with mushroom gravy was delicious but the salad bar was the standout. Good to see a country pub going above and beyond to service the patrons needs , a return visit will be on the cards .

Great food and service, well worth the drive

This is a great family place! Our family loved playing basketball and soccer but it wasn't the best set up. The kids adored the camel but warning the camel bites! Great food as well

Had a great pub lunch in your awesome hotel. The service by the ladies was excellent. You clearly have great taste in music as well. Stef is world class!🍷🎼🎸??'?will be back!

Stop here and have a chat with the barista, he is very friendly and will suggest you to visit Yorke Peninsula.
He can also make you a nice cappuccino while chatting.

Wow. A must stay for caravans and motor homes. Cost nothing to stay around the oval across from the pub.! No water or power but who cares... met the friendly locals in the bar. Barry has been here for 42years. Kath and hubby have been here for years and meet fergie a huge camel in the back yard of the pub. The owner gave us some carrots to feed the camel... yes a camel... great friendly pub with a free camp across the road. Meals were amazing. Had the honey chicken and Jan had the lemon chicken. Wow wow wow.. don't miss this one one your travels... one of the best.... And get a sticker for ur van...

Tasty and reasonably priced pub lunch served by friendly, helpful staff. Recommend booking as we were lone diners on a weekday for lunch, extremely impressed with the quality of our meals and the trouble they went to. Was tempted to hang around for Pizza night as lots of fresh dough proving for later in the day. Finished our meal with a walk around the local area and coffee across the road from the hotel. Pretty, little layback town an hour north of Adelaide and an easy drive.

Delicious food, wonderful service, great prices and huge schnitzels! Everything here is fantastic! The atmosphere is lovely. I highly recommend the schnitzels they are almost bigger than your plate!

Lots of games to keep the kiddos occupied and a camel who loves people and pats.

Food was cold when served and took 1hr for it to come out. The schnitzel was tough and very over cooked, my chicken was luke warm the only nice hot thing was the fries.
2 stars one for friendly staff and the other for the camel.

Did not stay, we just went for dinner. It was nice that they fitted us in without a booking...but in hindsight, I wish they hadn't!
My meal was dreadful...so much so that I sent it back. The replacement meal was not much better. It was very overcooked. My partner's meal was quite ordinary. Very disappointing.

Wish I took photos of my meal and the surroundings. This pub is by far my favourite county hotel for service and meals. Best chicken schnitzel I have had in a long time! Also they have toys and board games to play with the fam or friends while you wait for your meal.

Huge meals and there's a lovely resident camel to meet. Lots of board games for kids. Typical country pub.

Was a real surprise to see all the renovations inside. Staff were great .There is a children's play area and also a friendly camel called Freda. Was a most enjoyable experience.

Great staff cold beer

Pizza night tonight. Just excellent. Our pizzas were yummy delicious and cooked superbly.
Generous toppings. Had a lot of pizzas over the years and these were right up there.
Owen has recently joined the painted silos brigade and if you go to Owen to check out the silos, make sure you drop into the Owen Arms Hotel for coffee and cake or a delicious homemade pie.
They open at 9.30 am every day and they have the gift of hospitality and will make you very welcome.
The Owen Arms Hotel is much more than a local pub.
Make sure you check it out for yourself.
You will be pleasantly surprised and won't be sorry you made the time to drop in.

Fabulous hospitality from Owen Hotel staff. Delicious food. Recommend a stop over whenever you travel through this area.

Visiting Hamley Bridge with no accommodation close.. found Owen Arms further along on my map... glad that I did...such a nice quiet place to stop.. room was clean, basics left for breakky and staff friendly.. thanks guys..

Nice little regional pub, in and outside seating.nFood was very good, generous and nicely presented, four star for sure. nWe gave it a go on a quiet Saturday lunch and glad we did.nFriendly, welcoming staff.nNeighbour is rather nosey, leaning over the fence and little demanding.... Dribbling a little and staring while walking up done the fence,expecting to be scratched and fussed over with a insatiable appetite for carrots supplied by the pub.nnBTW, go see Fergie the dromedary Camel, five years old standing 6' at hump height!nEnjoy a drink, have something to eat...a little fun and a giggle.nWorth the drive.
