Our experience was ruined by unacceptable service from some of the front of house staff. These particular staff members need to know and understand that you work in hospitality meaning you need to be hospitable to the paying customers because at the end of the day the prices you are charging the customer those prices are including your service that is how a company makes money to pay your wages, what I was subject to and witnessed was a complete and utter embarrassment to your establishment. When another customer and myself where waiting at the bistro bar Richard that works behind the bar walked straight past us looks and can see we are waiting to be served as all the other staff members were busy running food and clearing tables and stops at the end of the bar and looks down at a bin then turns around and ignores us again and walks into the gaming room bar. So I ended up going to the bar at the other end of the establishment to get my drink then I come back and sit down at our table and proceeded to watch my dad go up to the bistro bar 5 minutes later and watch good old Richard look at my dad from the gaming room bar and turn his head and try to act like he's busy, that is not acceptable when you work in this industry. Pentagon group hotels, the owners of this venue need to pull their fingers out and address the situation if your staff members can not perform basic tasks required of them like acknowledging customers and serving them or simply checking tables to see if everything is alright then why are they still employed, they are dragging your buisness and your name through the dirt, no wonder it is so badly rated here, and next time Richard when you ignore more customers to go look in a bin do everyone a favour and put your head in it you actually might look like you are doing something productive.

Reviewing the bistro... absolutely terrible. Had steak that was full of fat, garlic seafood sauce ..seagood was grey Nd sauce like water ( was told by waitress that it was that colour due to being a redwine base but a cream sauce ???") not only myself but 3 other people were asking for money back...waited 50 min for meals and 60 min for a bowl of chips for kids...

The ladies at reception were lovely, & I was made to feel at home. The rooms were well-maintained, & the food at the bistro was good. The heated pool + sauna was a nice addition. I would stay here again.

Staying in rooms which are average but all that's required. However wouldn't waste another dollar in the restaurant. Staff were rude, and far from helpful. With only 1 staff member serving and the rest standing around discussing there social life. The food was far from appealing and definitely wasn't enjoyable to eat. Had surf and turf that tasted like the prawns and scollops were served straight out of the freezer, and a medium steak that was rear but cold. Other table meals were the same. No effort put in for presentation of the plate or flavour. Food was crap and there was little to no interaction with the staff. Definitely not a positive atmosphere to be in.

Save your money and go elsewhere for food if you're staying at the accommodation.
I cannot believe the size of the kids meals. Absolutely tiny and for $13 we felt ripped off. My son ended up having half of my meal as well.
We waited about 45 minutes for our meals with only 2 other occupied tables in the bistro. Certainly not a reasonably priced pub meal, you won't spend less than $100 for a family of 4. Numerous times the counter was empty with people waiting for drinks or to order food. Could hear the cooks singing loudly from the kitchen.
The pizzas are the only saving grace. Generous toppings and a good size.

There is a small play area for kids under 12 which is a nice touch.

Emailed management on 01/05/2024 and have not received any reply.
Room of floor was absolutely filthy with built up dirt. Couldn't walk around the room without shoes on due to how dirty the floors made our feet. Attached is photo of wash cloth I used to clean my toddlers feet after he had already had a bath. Half an hour of running around on the lounge area floor and his feet were black.
Also have a video of wiping the floor for a quick second and the clean wipe coming up gross. Looks to not have been mopped in weeks.

Rooms had what was required for all your needs. Our door operated by a key card which was useless as we just pushed the door and it opened🤭 Management will address it. Had some large trucks parked directly in front of some of the units 33-35. Avoid these if you want to sleep in. Pub attached.
Fish n chips shop and coffee shop for breakfast were ok.

We waited 45 min before checking on where our order was. We were told that the docket got lost in their rush but they'd make it now.. My partner overheard the conversation and the attendant was told to not comp the drinks and offer us a free dessert. I didn't receive the offer of a free dessert but did receive a refund for the food. I think the drinks should have been complimentary considering I didn't make much of a fuss about waiting before checking.

Our family enjoyed a two-night stay and despite its partly dated appearance, the room and facilities were perfectly serviceable and clean. We didn't get a chance to dine in the restaurant so we'll probably try again next time.

The food was the worst food I've ever had from there, the pork belly was all soft and gooey, the mash potato was as if it was a 2 minute microwave mash. Was told we could stay by management till 9 was kicked out at 8:15 as they were having a staff Christmas party...

Apart from that the bar staff (Sophie I believe her name was) was amazing and the manager was very accommodating after the experience we had previously that morning!

As for returning won't be coming back anytime soon!

Flight was delayed so arrived late. Key was left under the mat but failed to open the door. Staff arrived and let us in. Room was well set out, all requiredments on hand. Plenty of hot hot water. Within walking distance to shops but unfortunatley only supermarkett open. Stayed on a Tuesday night and the neighbours were quite noisy. Traffic noise as well. Appearence wise it was lovely.

This place is, politely, a dump. Terrible quality beds, grey hot tub water, damp carpets, cockroaches, food poisoning from the miserable adjacent dinner service, the worst playground in AUS and grimy walls/grounds. Messed up. Highlight was the Bottle-O.

The meals were great, the steak was cooked well. Everyone at our table enjoyed their lunch.

Great pub. It has everything. The dart machines are fun the play. We loved visiting this place. There's ample parking outside.

Very nice room. Unfortunately the mattress was way too firm. Also our Bistro reservation was not recorded. Fortunately there was a table available

For the food and service I wish i could give zero stars. A group of 18 of us dined in 11th March at 630 and the service was slow, people that arrived at our table 40 mins after got their food within 10 mins and the rest of the tables food arrived an hour and 10 mins later. My chicken looked freezer burnt and was like eating cardboard the veggies were dry and limp. One person at our table had pizza that had smelly off meat and we approached the waitress raised our concerns and her come back was it was fine for me when i had some earlier in the day. She was totally dismissively and rude. Will never go again

I am writing a review on the restaurant, not the accommodation. Had chicken buffalo wings for entree. They were okay, but anything would have been as I was starving. Had a chicken Kiev for main. The worst chicken Kiev, and possibly meal I've paid for in my life. I am convinced the food here is far from freshly made and reheated in the microwave. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day in the kitchen here. Having said that, it is such a shame as the service here is really good, that is what the two stars are for.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Olde Tudor Hotel and overall had a great experience. The food was delicious and there were plenty of activities for both the kids and adults to enjoy, including a playground and arcade machines. The hotel staff were very apologetic when one of our meals was forgotten about by the kitchen staff. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and we particularly enjoyed the indoor pool, spa, and sauna which were also well-maintained and the kids loved having a swim. I would highly recommend the Olde Tudor Hotel as a great place to stay for families looking for a fun and comfortable vacation.

Did not enjoy my dinner at all. Cold sweet potato chips. Ordered a curried fish dish from the specials board. Fish came out in a bowl with Neapolitan sauce. Did not eat it. Have eaten here many times in the past, but will not be returning in a hurry.

Great hotel for an affordable price!
It is an older style room but it was nice and large with a modern bathroom was also nice and clean. The rooms were quiet you couldn't hear anyone else next door and it seemed busy. The staff were lovely and accommodating when we said our flight was going to be delayed and we would arrive until 9.30pm. Really lovely budget hotel, would definitely stay here again!

Although i was only there for one night, i still enjoyed my stay with my mum and brother. The food was great and the bed where comfortable. The pool was fun.
If i ever ended up in Launceston again i would be sure to stay there.

Close to nearby supermarket, good shops, pharmacy & Hairdressers etc. Unit was roomy. Lovely bathroom with heated towel rails and under floor heating. Washer and dryer and comfy beds. Downsides being lounge and dining furniture stained.

The accommodation was a great size and clean. The bathroom was the best we had in Tasmania. Staff was friendly. It was good that there was a supermarket and Cafe with in walking distance. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Staying here for two nights, first night we figured we'll just go to the Bistro as it's a short walk from our room (and less hassle with 2 small kids). Probably the most expensive meal we've bought on our holiday, yet not the best by far. Oysters were drowned in Worsteshire Sauce, could hardly taste anything but! Pork tasted more like Charcoal than anything, asked for Medium Rare steak, got Well-Done instead. Had to go up and ask for kids drink that was supposed to come with meal. Then asked for his dessert afterwards and never got it. Waited 1/2hr too. Then, as we got outside, looked in the windows and they were straight there to clean our table. So not completely forgotten it would seem! Windows in our room have no security screens, the only one there is, is broken. The window in the bathroom doesn't open either so full of steam when you have a shower, even with the fan on. Not the worst experience, but definitely not the best!

We had a great stay. Rooms were very clean and great size, very cosy. The restaurant food was delicious and great value for money. The lady on reception was so lovely and helpful. After a bad experience with our first taxi called she made sure the second one got us to our destination. Highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back next year!

The room my husband and I had, had a separate bedroom and bathroom, a washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, hot plate.
Was VERY clean, tidy & comfortable.
We stayed for 3 nights, and will definitely be returning before flying out again.

The place was nice and convenient; but staff was not very professional. She (the receptionist) did not ask for my name properly, she gave me a wrong room (without checking my ID, she did not ask for my ID when I was checking in).
I ended up paying more for what I booked (I paid $69 more), because I took someone else room. She (the receptionist) called me a few hours later, complained that I signed the wrong contract (room contract). I know it was my fault, as I was very tired from a long road trip, and I did not check as I trusted them giving me the right one; but HOW COULD YOU BLAME THE CUSTOMER WHEN YOU DID NOT CHECK THEIR ID CARD?
She also lied, said I did not give her the ID card (she did not ask for it when I was checking in). I guess she was next to her boss when she was trying to talk to me, so she blame me on her mistake. If the receptionist asked for your ID card when checking in your hotel room, how could you not give it to them and still get a room???
So, the place was 4.5 stars (it was good), but the service made it 3. Just make sure you check the room first before paying.

Great for a catch up with the girls or your mates. Previously used accommodation is clean and staff are very helpful and friendly. Great food.

Booked the superior queens suite for 5 nights 18/2 to 23/2.
Plus:
Hotel room is acceptable. Clean, comfortable bed and pillows, shower ample pressure. Quiet at night. Good parking.
Minus:
The small fridge has seen better days. Even on the lowest cooling mark, the products start to freeze up!
Possible reason why there was water on the floor around the fridge, as someone turned the unit off ... hence the ice in the freezer compartment was melting!
Main concern is I requested a late check out at reception till 2pm, as I told her I have a Devonport ferry ETD at 7.30pm. The person said only till 11am possible, to which I mentioned that in the room brochure it shows possible till 2pm. She was not aware of this! I requested that she spoke to management, to which she phoned I believe a superior. She started talking 'that the guy from room 15 wants late check out' ... she didn't give the reason why and was not at all interested. Also, I'm a guest ... not 'the guy' ... management should train their (at least this girl) how to address clientele. I'm very disappointed that the hotel management does not think with their guest in finding a solution.
Conclusion: the Queen room is acceptable, but hotel desk staff shall follow the Hotel Receptionist training course.

Very comfortable and all facilities were clean and tidy. Readily accessible to shops for food and groceries. Being the two bedroom apartment and only 2 of us it was quite spacious.

Great location and at the heart of town. Great accommodation but having no door from the bunker beds didnt give us the privacy. The bathroom was great and modern but having no wash basin in the kitchen and a small bar fridge that fits nothing for a family of 4 has really dropped all our expectations and comfort. The only consolation was the pool, sauna and spa was the best delightful spot for our kids.

Environment was excellent, service excellent food serving size very good for lunch. Hubby's meal was hot but Mine was cold . Had grilled chicken breast with salad. Hubby had fish basket.

Very clean and tidy set up. Convenient location. Had my sick father in tow before surgery the following day. Accommodating staff and good grub!

The Olde Tudor catered very well to a large group I was with. Food was of good quality with minimal wait times. Prices were reasonable and kids were well catered to and kept entertained in the play area.

Great staff with friendly attitude (wonderful house keeping staff too!) however the playground and pool seem as if they've been abandoned. The playground is the exact same as it was the last time I stayed here (as a child approx 2009) most of the equipment didn't look or feel very safe and it most definitely could do with a paint job as it currently looks like something from a horror movie. The pool was nice but again could use some maintenance around the edges of the pool there's chipping and peeling and the spa seemed very dirty (grey coloured water when the bubbles weren't running.) Really lovely accommodation I just believe it would be more family friendly if there was some more work/attention put into the pool/spa and playground.

From my phone call to book a room right through to check out the service here was exceptional. The receptionist had exceptional and a very professional attitude. The restaurant and bar staff were all amazing, the food was of a good quality and the prices were inexpensive. The room was clean and well set out. Would recommend and will return.
