Served by Courtney over the weekend when we came in for a dinner reservation - our first time eating here & we loved our experience! Great suggestions on food and wine pairing, will definitely be back! Huge thanks to Courtney for her great service!!

Waited 30 mins and got starters followed 2 mins later by mains! 3 steaks came. We chased for the rest. 10 mins later a fish meal arrived. Then when I chased for the remaining main they asked me what it was. Over one hour since arriving and no main ND having to chase. Management needs to take a look. Never used to he so bad here. Until improved I would not suggest coming here unless you are very patient. Fish meal had a salad which consisted of hot and cold items which was confusing to taste buds and really did not work at all. See picture. However the steaks were good

My friend and I walked past the Newmarket Hotel. We noticed a very warm and friendly atmosphere and decided to go in for something to eat and a drink. We were very impressed with the Service staff who created this wonderful atmosphere. Their knowledge of the food and drinks menu was impeccable. The green curry spring rolls were delicious. We would highly recommend the Newmarket Hotel for the staff's professional service, quality of food and welcome-friendly atmosphere.

I visit the Newmarket Hotel in Kelvin Grove, Brisbane quite regularly, and it never fails to impress me! Each visit is a delightful experience, and the consistency in quality and service is truly commendable.

Mangers are so rude started on my sister in law on vaping when she had no were to put it and wasn't vaping. She didn't even great us and wouldn't listen she was mocking us why we got angry and told her off. We told them to look at the cameras and they tools sides and kicks us out when she was in the wrong. Honestly need better mangers as there so rude

Great service and atmosphere. The lamb rump was delicious. However, the great northern battered fish & chips, and the kids fish and chips were disappointment for us. This was my second visit, I don't think I will eat fish here again. I'll keep eating steak and beer here.

Service staff are always friendly. Good selections of draft beer at reasonable price. Prosecco is good. Love their steak, fish of the day and salad. One of our weekend lunch place. And week night quick dinner. Also best place to watch footy and all.

Always fun. Staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Food is great and reasonably prices as are drinka. Can be extremely busy some nights due to the entertainment but that's just shows it's value. Adequate parking available if you drive but if your out for a drinking session the bus/taxis are about 20m away.

Love to get in at least one meal here when travelling for work. It's comforting Pub Food at a reasonable price with easy parking and inside or outside dining. Great for lunch or dinner.

Ordered steaks which were excellently cooked.
We were directed to our table by an outstanding waitress, Sophia. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and engaged in an interesting conversation with us about University. We were impressed with her service . Tim and Kev.

The Newmarket is a wonderful spot to visit. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing while also maintaining a great sense of class and professionalism. Our waiter, Lari, did a fantastic job at making us feel welcome and heard. He highly recommended the potatoes, and we ate every last morsel; it was amazing. His charm and humor made me feel young again. He even recommended the trivia night which was a blast to attend! In all, a wonderful visit.

Was celebrating my birthday back in March and decided to spend it at the comedy night at the Newmarket pub. Lady hosting Fiona made us feel extremely uncomfortable when she took it upon herself to get on stage and say the crowd was being rude and unappreciative while looking at us directly each time. We had no idea what she was talking about and felt so uncomfortable as she kept giving us death glares throughout the session

Wow what a beautiful pub with flare! Lighting, decor, service, quality of food, variety on menu all perfect. Couldn't fault our evening ?

Soulless, no atmosphere, hot as hell, boring staff.
First and last time coming here. Walked in and asked for 2 pints of Stella, tasted awful so asked the guy if the lines had been cleaned, he said not for weeks! That's disgusting. Ended up drinking a Byron Bay which also had the same dirty taste.
Karaage chicken was below average too.
Do yourself a favour and go to another place, it isn't worth it.

All I wanted was a nice meal for dinner. Very disappointing and underwhelming regardless of price. ($41.50)
I ordered a medium cooked steak (400g rump 180 day grain fed) with 2 sides of (chips + mashed potato).
The meal came out in a timely fashion. The plating and presentation was not appealing. Although lathered with oil and charred, the steak was cooked quite rare. The chips and mashed potato were only warm. The mashed potato wasn't fluffy, only heavy and bland. The staff took the plate back to the kitchen for the chefs to cook the steak for longer. When the steak came back, it was still medium rare and the chips + mashed potato were now cold. I didn't bother touching the sides but ate only what I could of the steak. The table condiments (salt and pepper) were also empty.

The QR code ordering system undercuts skills of the serving staff forming hardly any relationship with the customers. Seems improper for the application to ask if you would like to add a tip.

Why would you add a tip for an experience of food and service you haven't received yet?

On a small note, the latte was lovely with the milk textured nice and silky.

Excellent Service, was acknowledged straight away. Very clean restaurant. Staff attentive and Friendly (big smiles). Food was quick (I was there at 2.30pm). Got the fish and chips (with salad) and softdrink - just under $30. Generous helping of food. All day dining. Free parking at shopping complex. A+ service. Highly recommend to eat here.

Went for a special family lunch on Boxing Day -16 adullts plus a few grandkids. The food was excellent and bar n waiter service friendy and efficient. Howeverwhat was most amazing were the seafood specials - A platter of oysters kilpat for $22 plus a seafood platter for $20 which had 4 moreton bay bugs oysters prawns and a seafood salad. What a feast! A family friendly environment to boot. Well worth a visit.

Only been once so your mileage might vary, but service was great and extremely fast, food was okay, nothing spectacular but nothing terrible. For the price, I'd say it was good and would return.

It's nice enough, music is good, staff look like they have worked late and party hard, lot's of locals reasonable pub food in the bar, keno and cold beer what else could you want

This review is from 6 months earlier took quiet awhile to get our drinks 20 minutes, that was a bit frustrating, especially when we could see them sitting on the bar. I would have picked them up myself but decided carrying them wasnt an option.
When we asked if we could have our drinks the waitress answered yer yer yer.
I was a bit stunned to be honest.
I hope staff out with covid was the culprit for the slow drinks service.
Ill see what happens next time Im at the Newmarket pub.

There is something for everyone on their menu. The specials are worth a look and try. The prices are reasonable and the tables are not crammed in. The staff is young but they are very able and friendly and definitely deliver on service and friendliness. The food was also great.

My local watering hole! Good food nice sized gaming area. Modern what else can you ask for!

Last minute change of venue due to the weather. Ara and the staff were very accommodating and flexible. The platters were great and the area suited the event perfectly.

We needed an easy and satisfying dinner after a full day of flood clean up.

We were so pleased with our food and the service tonight! We had our two boys with us, who both loved their kids meals. We were happy with the value - the meals were big and there was a drink and dessert included.

We were also really happy with our adults' meals. The veal schnitzel was a standout.

The biggest win was the service. All the staff were friendly, helpful and kind to us and our kids. Exactly what we needed after a tough couple of days! Thank you!

We had to make very last minute plans with a fairly large group (15). Weren't able to get a reservation in the bistro as it was booked but they still found room close by for us. When people left the bistro the staff allowed us to move to a table down there. They were extremely accommodating and I am so thankful.
Everyone went above and beyond and therefore I can not fault the service and the food was delicious.
When we moved to the bar, Greg looked after us as well and made our night better. He even took group photos for us.
Thank you Newmarket and the team there this night. Very appreciative.

Great spot to eat when you don't know where to go! Food, great. Beer, cold. Service, authentic. Do your self a favour and visit this place. My only issue... is with Tony. He's too good looking! Should be working on the latest cover of Vogue, not in a pub.

The staff here were very kindly and very helpful with explaining how to use the online menu and how to apply my discount card. The food came out quite fast and was generally good. I ate it quite fast also as I didn't have time to take a photo. I had the Wagyu beef with chips and calamari topper. I'm not sure if it was a coincidence but I suffered very painful food poisoning the following which I can only attribute to the calamari as it was the only odd thing I ate that day before. Otherwise it was a pleasant pub and nice enough atmosphere.

What a great place! A beautiful heritage listed bar mixed in with a large contemporary style restaurant. The food is always delicious, you can't go past a good steak or the classic chicken parmy.
The bar itself is amazing, so many different spirits to choose from and some tasty cocktails to match! Thanks to the staff for always providing a consistently awesome experience.

Great pub! My partner and I always get a meal and we are never disappointed. The food is excellent and the staff are really friendly. We highly recommend this hotel.

We are return customers because the food is always great and tonight was no different. My steak was cooked to perfection, my wife's lamb rump was perfect and our daughter raved about her gnocchi. We love that the menu always includes a diverse range of dishes that other pubs don't have. Apart from the excellent food, Leah also provided excellent service. My favorite pub!

We have dined here several times in the last few months after finding it was an easy meeting place for family that live on different sides of the city. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Easy access for my father in his wheelchair and accommodating to groups. Really good food with a range to suit all tastes. Highly recommend.

Consistency is the key!!! Food and service is always amazing, coupled with a sparse menu you can never go wrong. For $39 the 350gr T-Bone topped with ribs definitely didn't disappoint.

Ordered the special steak lunch today. Was seasoned nicely and the chips were good also. My only problem was my steak was slightly more cooked than what I wanted. It was fine because it was still moist and not at all dry.

Another great family night out at The Newmarket Hotel, 'all' meals were fabulous (x 6 people), great service and nothing better than a cold beer wine and a venue to match the experience. Highly recommend this establishment.

Great service and fair price. I had the Chicken Caesar Wrap and it was definitely good value. Can't go wrong with this place if you're looking for a pub feed with plenty of beers on tap.

Great food and friendly service! I was really impressed by the seafood pasta in particular. Unfortunately one of the waitresses was a bit poor in the way she presented herself- chewing gum and having her mouth open while doing it. Otherwise, great night!

Food can be a little pricey but the quality has never disappointed and the servings are quite generous. The location is always clean and is decorated well. The waitstaff are accommodating and friendly. Have been quite a few times and always leave full and happy.

Fast speedy service with a smile. Food felt like it took seconds to arrive and meal serves were huge! Great value for money and the atmosphere in the venue was a great relaxing vibe.Even during Covid times you could enjoy yourself and see that the business had the safety of its customers and staff in mind.
