We booked for a table on line... after signing in, no help to table and about ordering heard other people saying just go to counter.
We ordered a small calamari and a seafood basket.. both had far to much chips and a salad that was just out of a bag and loaded with oil, my meal was disgusting couldn't finish it and noticed heaps of other people taking it home in containers, my advice would be check the waste coming back and downsize meals.

I came here on two consecutive evenings, both times not long before they were due to close. On the first evening, after signing in by allowing them to record electronically my German drivers licence I went to the food counter to order my food and then, separately to the bar to get my beer. I was told that they would be closing soon but they still prepared me 6 natural oysters as a starter and then a decent sized plate of fish and chips. I sat by the big window on the 1st floor overlooking the beach and ocean, but it got dark quickly & I soon I found myself staring at my own reflection...
Even though I ended up being their last customer before closing at 8:00 p.m., I really appreciated the friendliness and willingness of staff to chat with me. In fact as I was contemplating where to eat on the second night in Shoal Bay I decided to return. I had forgotten to check the time and it was really only 10 minutes or so before closing. But when I said that I only wanted some oysters and a drink they were happy for me to stay. The oysters were absolutely delicious. And even though I was their last customer on two consecutive evenings they seemed very relaxed, friendly and patient with me. EXCELLENT!!

Great experience. My partner and I shared a meal. calamari chips and salad. Cost around $30 and we couldn't jump over it. I've done this challenge about 8 times now where I've shared a meal there and I'm yet to be able to say I finished it. Not only are the meals amazing in size but equally amazing in the quality. Put that with that amazing view you get from the bolcony and I can happily say that this place is one of the few I recommend to everyone. If your ever in the area treat yourself to a meal there

Great to have such an amazing club as my new local and by the seaside. Absolutely amazing food and service! Tuesdaii special with Barra cooked to perfection, the most crispy chips! with a fresh slaw plus a drinkii for just $20! I know where to go for a yummii yummii din din! What a great deal! Plus only a a couple mins walk from my new apartment! ?????'???'????????

Food comes out quick even when the place is packed. Seafood was fresh..you cant really go wrong with fried seafood basket. Prices were reasonable for the location. I also like that you can get small or large dishes. Great view outside if you can get it

We got the seafood platter, menu said fresh and battered all it had fresh was 4 prawns and 4 oysters fresh and the rest was fried. Lots and lots of deep-fried calamari and I mean lots! battered fish and a small bowl of chips. Really don't think it's worth 80 dollars. Quite disappointing ?

We couldn't believe the seafood platter was only $80. Hot and fresh seafood and a few different options for everyone to enjoy. Great service at the bar and from the wait staff. The view is absolutely stunning.

Wonderful place to take the family.
The food was delicious and good portion sizes.
I highly recommend the garlic prawn starter and natural oysters.
The calamari stack, fish and chips and chicken schnitzel were delicious as well.
And
An added bonus is the gorgeous view of the shoal bay beach at sunset.

Great little club. Upstairs, there is a lift available.
We had small serves of Calamari Stack & Chicken Parmigiana, and that was enough.
Calamari was delicious.
Staff were welcoming and friendly.
Poker machines also there if you feel so inclined.
Balcony dining also available, lovely on a nice day

I definitely come back here for steak. Cook too perfection. Service with a smile.

Such a great spot to take in the views. Busy but typical fried fast food. Disappointing fried sausage mince burger pattie and fried chicken schnitzel burger. Difficult as trying hard to accommodate visitors. We won't be back for some time

Best restaurant/club/family dinner venue for probably more than a thousand miles each way along the NSW coast. It has the best ocean/bay to the mountains view by far & beats the rec club @the palms, port Mac , Newy , centy coast etc etc.
Mostly all coastal&suburban! ALSO Seafood shops should be ashamed by how much calamari they serve compared to this packed stack with a nice salad & proper fries that's going viral. ( Nice Work Chef!)

Cold beer and great views if you are able to snag a table on the balcony. Service is super friendly and the food is fresh with very decent servings. The price of everything was very reasonable.

Delicious! Was pleasantly surprised with the size of my meal - the Calamari stack. All the food was fresh, tasty and value for money. Would happily come back again when in the area.

Don't eat here if you have a food allergy. There is a sign that says meals are cooked to order, but not the case. Everything is fried from prepackaged frozen stock, more batter than fish! The chips were gluten free, but all the fried battered stuff was put on top, despite asking it be seperated. The oysters were fizzy, had to spit them out and the fresh prawns were off as well. No apology, we walked out. Plenty of other places to eat, don't risk it.

This little club has the best views in Shoal Bay. Icey cold beer and great wine selection. Nice friendly staff to. The seafood is first class. The fish, prawns and calamari are delicious. Great variety of meals there. Definitely worth visiting.

Always a favourite place for a big feed of seafood and a cold drink on a warm spring afternoon. The trick is timing it right during school holiday season to get a table near the glass so you get the best possible view of Shoal Bay and the headlands. This place is small and there are a fair few stairs to climb but the view alone is worth it. Plus whatever calories you burnt climbing the stairs you're sure to put back on in no time because the meals are mountainous. Don't believe me? Order the calamari - I dare you.

One staff member was very rude on arrival, we walked up the stairs and she grabbed my husbands arm and pulled him back instead of asking him to come back just to get his temperature checked.. then just generally rude to our whole family. Food was okay but not worth the huge 40minute wait and rudeness. They were at max capacity for COVID, so I would hate to see what the wait would be if it was at actual max capacity. Also a very small menu to choose from for lunch.

Rude Rude Rude. Been here many times. Encountered the same rude bar lady one too many times. No doubt the same staff member all the other reviewers have complained about. Awesome venue and food. Wake up to your selfs and remove that revolting staff member before she rolls her eyes at one more customer. All other staff are polite and welcoming.

I was recently down at there weighing station.. While they were weighing several harmless blue sharks... I was filming the sharks. And the crowd that had gathered.. When a club member in the weighbridge complained of my filming... He accuse me of filming small kids.... That just happened to be with there parents.. When I retorted he and other members got real nasty........i

4 stars is for food, food staff, one of the bar staff and waitress only.... The waitress and food staff taking our food order were lovely and chatty and made us feel welcomed. The food was fresh, large servings on point and beautifully presented. The only downer is one of the bar staff was incredibly rude when we asked what drinks were available. When we did order our drinks we tried to have a conversation with her she couldn't be bothered and had a negative attitude towards us. Yet when we paid and moved on i noticed she was chatty and laughing with other patrons ordering drinks. We've been here many times and she is the only one that makes us feel like we're intruding on her time.
