What can I say, we love the service and the food. My wife is partial to the steak. This is only our second visit but find the atmosphere quite refreshing.

We celebrated a very important family birthday at the Tavern in early June and cannot speak more highly of the staff, food and service. They were all so friendly and helpful and the success of this event was due to the venue and staff to a large degree. Thanks Murrumba Downs Tavern, well done!

You think when you walk in to a pub and they have a sports bar, hopefully You can see some sports, What you have in this sports bar? Is horses, and Keno. And any sports that this venue can scrounge on are free to air. Where it costs them nothing . .

If your one of them millions of boxing fans around the world and there is a massive fight on. If you want to see it, don't come to Murrumba Downs Tavern. They don't have the money to show these live events . Even though poker machines in Queensland made $4.5 billion last year . But here at Murrumba they have no money , go this type of entertainment. Their idea of entertainment, is trivia, where it costs them nothing ,North leagues Club will show both these fights and will be mobbed. Murrmba Tsvern are happy to let you sit in front of a poker machine and put your hard earned $'s in, but no entertainment . Not even a smile from some of these miserable Bar Staff, that this Manager of this Pub has attracted to this venue.

They have two good pool tables. But they don't do pool Comps here. They just stick to the gambling related entertainment. Hopefully, they have a good chef on, and some punters post some nice reviews. And they can blow their trumpet on that .

We are in the fastest-growing area in Southeast Queensland , Yet The Murrumba Tavern has got nothing to offer any of these new potential newcomers. The place is stale, and the management has given up , and running on pretend . Get in the game , or get out of it .

The steak served at this place is truly exceptional in taste and quality. It has become a favorite spot for me and my friends to gather on weekends. The experience of savoring their delicious steak is one we look forward to, making it a memorable dining choice.

Food looks good, nice size portions price is reasonable that's including drinks. Maybe just a bad day for the staff it happens. No proper steak knifes was annoying. It was just ok but willing to give it another go.

Food was ok, however sitting under red lights, made it tough to see the food in a natural light. The service wasn't great. The people were attentive to cleaning which is fabulous, however, the wait for the food coming out was very long, and even longer for dessert. I almost told them to cancel dessert as it took so long.

MD tav used to be my go to.
We went today had chips and salad, got an unwelcomed surprise when I finished my meal.....a dead fly that was sitting underneath my salad the whole time. Really off putting.

Took my parents for Monday lunch we all had a delicious meal. Steaks and sauces were perfect, Fish n Chips and the Caesar salad was bang on! Great meal sizes real bang for buck! Booth was comfortable with top service too.

Great food , prompt service , good place for a family dinner or quiet meal for two

I'll start by saying staff were fantastic and done there job well. However, paid $25 for a snitzel that was the same size as you would find on a fast food burger. The Pasta Carbonara was a serving size from a small Chinese container.

Took my 3 children here for a nice meal.and 3 of us are walking away far from satisfied. When your paying $70 plus and topping up at McDonald's next door is absolutely disgusting. No wonder the dining room was empty should have taken that for a sign rite then.

Been here twice now and both visits have been great. Food is lovely - very tasty, fresh and great portion sizes. They also have a great selection for vegetarians. The customer service here is exceptional, our waitress's both times have been very knowledgeable and friendly - nothings ever too big or small an ask. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Had lunch there today (Sunday) with 2 friends. Services was great. Food was lovely. Great desserts as well. Thanks to the lovely girls who looked after us very well. Will be back.

My family & I had a lovely evening at Murrumba Downs Tavern.
The food was excellent & plenty of it, lovely fresh vegetables, mashed potato & our chicken was delicious. All members of our family (11 of us) had assorted dishes and each person enjoyed their meal.
Service was excellent, staff were wonderful & nothing was to much trouble.
Thank you to Management and Staff.
We shall return.

Honestly disgusting, the staff here do their best and provide amazing service to patrons. No one deserves to be treated like that, especially the wait staff.

If the affected staff see this, please find a better environment to work in and tell on MDT for that abuse.

The tavern looks good with a restaurant, kids play area, gaming room and sports type bar and a function space. Friendly staff and plenty of parking. I had a meal recently that wasn't great but others who ate at the time had a better experience. Drinks range and prices are pretty standard.

We would highly recommend Murrumba Downs Tavern for a function. We had a wake there on Friday. The service was excellent and the food was tasty, well presented and plentiful. We would like to thank Tee and the staff for a job well done. Even quickly providing plates of gluten free food at the last minute. Thank You

Couldn't get into another eatery on a Monday night so we tried the local. Good linguine, poor chicken and salad - dry and tough. The manager gave us a discount then followed up with a complimentary dessert - we were not having dessert!!! Drinks cold, service very attentive and quick - we were one of two tables being used!! Big thanks to the manager - customer service plus.

Brilliant. We only had a drink but the staff were fantastic. They obviously recognized we were not regulars so told us the restaurant was open all day. Great friendly staff, will go back.

Sat in the public bar with friends, not in the restaurant, food was nice! beer was nice ! Haven't eaten at this tavern before, but will be happy to return. Pleasant environment...

Very disappointed with the food. Although they have great staff the cooks are a not that good. Kids steak after 2 attempts was so tough could not cut it. Not even I could chew it. No way a child could eat it. The veg was boring. 2 pieces of zucchini 1 stem Brocolli and carrots covered in some dressing taste terrible. Then over 30mins wait for ice cream for the kids. Never going back. Meals are expensive and not worth it.

Good food. Casual dining. Good service. We have dined here several times and have not been disappointed. They need to bring back the Sunday roast special. That was awesome!!!

Standard of food has dropped over our last few visits, this was our local but not any more. The chef can't be bothered cooking or making a salad of spinach leaves, cucumber and tomato with olive oil (as my wife suffers with Disaccharide). I don't believe they'd be a doctor, so sending out the same salad twice which she can't eat and saying 'but it has no gluten on it' isn't good customer service.Make sure to check your steak is cooked as well, for some reason medium means rate and medium rare, means we'll done.I don't recommend eating here, at the moment.

My husband and I have been visiting this gorgeous hotel for years and it has always been a great experience. Last night was no exception. The childrens meals are really nice as opposed to the deep fried rubbish you see everywhere else. My husbands steak was cooked to perfection and my puttanesca was outstanding. The berry puddings were also delicious!!The customer service was outstanding as always. You have everything right!!Thank you
