SHAME MR. CROWN!
Went tonight for their $10 cocktails. Their menu says classic cocktails for $10. Upon ordering and paying $48 for three cocktails, I questioned the bar staff. They said only 5 cocktails from the list were $10. I had to explain that their menu said differently and that all classic cocktails were $10 and that we wanted a refund of the difference. They then proceeded to ring their boss who said they couldn't do the refund. We refused to eat dinner there so we finished our drinks and went elsewhere

$9 for the smallest glass of wine I've been served and the sauvignon blanc was room temperature, even though they served it out of the fridge. I asked for ice. They need the lines on the glasses like everywhere else I've been in the last 10 years. Next time I'll order something in a bottle. I didn't try the food but they do have a $10 lunch special (Tuesday to Saturday), which I'd like to try.

Although I don't know what it's like at night, I can say it's a great place to visit on a sunny day for a pub lunch! Located on the newly gentrified Crown Street, Mr Crown has a nicely relaxed beer garden and amazingly good $10 Lunch Specials with a $5 beer/wine! ???'? The meals are a decent size, especially for only $10, and their crunchy, golden chips are particularly delish!

Weekdays lunches are popular with the local office crowd, so it can get busy just after midday. Also, parking can be tricky, but there's a Woolworths car park just one block away! ?

Lunch specials are back! $10 or $15 with a beer or wine. Great value and great staff. A great place for a quick mid week lunch.

11 bucks for one vodka raspberry but 25 bucks for two... some real smooth brains determining these prices

The toilets have reflective tiles one the ceilings. So the staff come in and look what you're doing on the toilet. Massive invasion of privacy and certainly not legal. When told the staff how inappropriate it was, was told to speak too the boss about it.
I would not recommend going to a place like this. Especially when you're being looked at like this without your knowledge or permission. I'm seriously so shocked by this.

Yeah nah, she goes alright. Friendly as security, and fair enough prices. Just dont fall asleep in the bathrooms, unless you wanna wake up with a little umbrella hanging out your newly sore bum

I would love to share more about my experience at Mr Crown. However, two attempts within the space of a day failed to yield any service. Initially, hoping to have lunch, our party was informed that Chef did not turn up today. Later, after a leisurely twilight stroll along the beach, we endeavoured to rest there with a drink while we waited for a nearby takeaway establishment to process our order. One of our party was wearing flip-flops, aka thongs. Another was wearing sandals. The sandals were deemed appropriate. The flip-flops were not. Far be it from me to determine the dress codes of beachside town establishments but it did feel as though we had strayed into the 1960s. And not in a pleasant, nostalgic way. Suggest moving forward with the times.

This venue has a dress code that bars certain hair cuts. Air must get pretty thin up there Mr Crown management.

Great pub with excellent cocktails. Some of the best I've ever had.

This is my new favourite Aussie pub ? and we absolutely loved it. It is very spacious, fantastic outdoor seating, and it is a good clean facility. Most importantly, we received a great customer service that was offered by Maddie during our visit today (27 Dec 2022) afternoon. She is absolutely legendary running the place and offering fantastic customer service ??'? ? ??'? ? ?? thank you, Maddie ?

Also, 4 pm to 7 pm was the happy hour with fantastic prices ? will revisit again for sure ?

Came here on a Thursday night, it was dead. Bar staff looked and acted like they'd just come back from a funeral.

$4 for mushroom gravy!!! $3 for mayo the size of a Maccas sauce!!!

It took over 30 minutes for a cheeseburger and chips to arrive. Even though our table was the only one to order food.

Took my partner there the place is an absolute ??'?hole and the ferals they let in wow !!! I like a good time but place won't be getting my business .

Staff are always fun and friendly, the place is always presentable, and I seem to have more luck on the punting there than any other place 😁�'�

Girls were lovely food was awesome. Reminded me of my youth with the incredibly sticky floor.

Do not go to this establishment. It's horrendous, my friend got assaulted. The staff refused to do anything. The manager was the worst and ignored the situation completely. My friend was bleeding and it wasn't acknowledged at all. Disgusting practices. I do not recommend anyone visiting. Dangerous place.

Been banned from here for the past 5-6 months and still won't be let back in because someone put a roofie in my drink, vomited and passed out.

I've seen, and heard of people getting barred from here for much worse things like violent brawls or people getting stabbed, but you'd think after so much time they'd let someone with such a benign altercation back in, but every time i try to talk to them they just tell me to go away.

I would recommend going to a different venue, The harp hotel which is just around the corner from Crown, provides a much safer and fun atmosphere, with karaoke and 3 dance floors and plenty of outside room for smoking and also features pokies.

It's also a great place to go if you genuinely want to go meet new people and make some friends, Most people go to crown just to dance with their small friend groups, people aren't really interested in talking there, unless you've done something to seriously impress the crowd.

Crown is, and always will be a decrepit representation of everything wrong about the nightlife in Wollongong, don't go there, unless you want to be thrown out for things like dancing too good, which is also likely to get you kicked out :/

Nice decor but took a while for service- we entered at a v quiet time, so I'm sure the bar tender was out back being productive elsewhere, rather than standing around doing nothing. He was friendly and knowledgeable about his gin.

This place really needs to read their reviews about their security and guards. If discrimination is a high topic here, to the point we hear about it in other countries, that is not a good look. Judging people who want to give YOU money based on their clothes and tattoos is horrible.

It's a good place for workplace luncheons, with reasonably priced meals and drinks . The food is ok although not anything special. Ambience is also OK but it's best if you can get an outside table to sit in the sun

Huge servings of food!! Cheap happy hour drinks & plenty of seating in a dim, neon space.

Lined up for 15 minutes, checked in with security and everything checked out. When i got to the payment desk, they refused me and my girlfriend entry due to what i was wearing due to my feminine presentation. I said to security guard "this is transphobic" to which he replied, "i know, i got the call from management, sorry." This is disgraceful! Discrimination! And should not be the way visitors are greeted at any respectable venue.

Started off as a good night when there was 8 people in the venue but the service slowed down once more people arrived. Food was good but unreasonable staff. Took 25 mins to get a drink out and they were in smaller glasses than our previous order.
I suggest your staff wear name tags as there were a selected few that were rude!

Bit expensive but good location, stopped by to have drinks with colleagues. The staff was very friendly. It has outdoor sitting, perfect for sunny day. Parking was bit an effort, 15 min parking Monday to Friday till 4:30pm. Overall I would say decent place to have drinks with friends.

Surreal to be back in a club after all this time.

Customer service is disgraceful, i was designated driver so remained sober on 23/10/2020 11:50pm the cigarette machine WiFi was having difficulties when requesting assistance i was attacked and treated like a 2nd class citizen from the gaming attendant. If not for the polite nature of the manager and security I would have been contacting local media. How any establishment could place a person like that in a customer service role is an absolute disgusting example of poor ownership

Very nice atmosphere

The burgers are delicious, normal cut chips I think would have been better. The staff are very pleasant. Atmosphere was nice and relaxing at lunch time.
