I don't like leaving negative reviews but the lady on duty in the restaurant today went out of her way to be as miserable as humanly possible. She snapped at my children and I as we walked in (I was walking directly to the bar where she was serving) that I had to sign the children into the indoor play area. I explained I was about to do that (hence why I was 3 feet from the bar where the sign in book sits and getting closer). She then barked that the children need socks and when I explained they did, she scowled. I explained we would like to order breakfast and she looked even more unhappy, saying that wasn't possible. I explained we'd been in the evening before and the nice lady serving had already provided menus so the children knew what they wanted. This also upset her. She toasted the children's sandwiches, even though when asked I said untoasted. I asked for a 3 shot latte and she served a very weak coffee, but as her manner was so angry and intimidating I was too scared to say anything. She then proceeded to stomp around, looking very grumpy and the children kept asking me why she hated her job so much.
The night before, and on all other occasions we've been here the staff have been lovely and friendly.
This lady might benefit from channelling some of her negative energy into getting orders correct and work a little harder at not making customers feel so uncomfortable. She could also watch other staff at work at the hotel and try and emulate their polite and kind approach to others.
