I am here weekly with friends for lunch and we love it. The place is so welcoming and kid friendly. The meals are awesome and always so reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place for laid back casual lunch and dinner with friends and family. All the staff here are super lovely and accommodating.

First time at the venue.
The food was brilliant. 8 people, 10 dishes. Every dish was spectacular. Best pub meal/s we've had for a long time.

Paid the chefs tips... 33%, even after 5% with the meal app.

The food is constantly good, and value for money, steak.is perfectly cooked, and the chips and vegetables are cooked properly

So I know everyone either says either "the best food" or "the worst" when reviewing making it a little difficult to genuinely gauge.

I want to be to be known that I am not exaggerating or emphasizing when I say this.

This was genuinely the most sub par parmi I have ever had at any restaurant. And possibly the most sub par I have had of all time.

The chicken is of the lowest quality I'm surprised is even being ordered. That dense rubber flat non textured glue together chicken in a crumb. I'd consider changing suppliers. When it came out only half of the parmi had sauce and cheese on it. I would have thought you would have tried to hide the chicken atleast. Was also overcooked.

Chips were over salted pretty severely (couldn't eat on their own)

Salad was what I would expect although a little interesting the tomato component was a quarter tomato in on slice.

$28 for a plate that couldnt even top a Woolworths $2 crumbed chicken

That's the 1 star for the food.

The one star for the service is because the service was practically non existent, you order with your phone from the barcode on the table. It still asks for a tip? pretty stingy / insulting asking for tip when no service had actually been received. Didn't eat the parmi and when waitress came to pick up 2x un eaten parmis from the table no comments were made, not expecting any but a "how was your meal" after seeing uneaten meals could be a good Segway from some in person feedback.

1 star for atmosphere, wobbly table and kids running back and forth fighting eachother within arm's length of our seating. Had to shoo them away so we could continue our conversation.

All in all biggest gripe is with how sub par food was, genuinely feel scammed. Parmi looked nothing like the picture on the webmenu

If I could give 0 stars I would.
We had our little one christening celebration and it started bad and only got worse with them ruining the cake. I spoke with someone to book and stated we wanted food 1230pm and all at once. I arrived at 1220 to find my mum had been asked when we wanted food.
Food was so overpriced it was ridiculous. Pizza were maybe the only thing worth the cost.... our cheese platter was tiny (plate not a platter) and they didn't even bring out the Turkish bread (didn't realise at the time) and we had ask for more crackers. Pizzas were all over place and we had to ask which was which as ordered few GF and vegan ones.....
Glass got dropped and we informed staff so it could be cleaned. I told young girl where it had shattered and she still only cleaned up small area; we had small kids playing and lucky none took shoes off as we adults were still stepping on pieces.
When my aunty who had spent whole week making and decorating the cake went in to get it, it was bought out with massive dent in the side..... she was extremely upset 😡 and only got little I'm sorry. My hubby went in to speak with them and all they could say was they spoke with aunty and said sorry....
I really expected a manger or owner to step up and say proper apology and offer some compensation for the damage.... but nothing.

I am so upset with whole thing, I was totally stressed and was unable to eat anything as all the food came out in dribs and draws and was gone so quickly. I went here as a kid and loved it and had alot recommendations from people.
I have and will continue to let everyone know our experience so people are warned of potentially heartbreaking situation they could end up in.

Extremely Disappointed. Booked the terrace for our grandson's christening. The so-called platters were minimal & very overpriced. Food came out late sporadic and people were left hungry and waiting - had to keep asking where it was. No labels for food to distinguish GF/Vegan. Catering is not their strong point. We gave them the christening cake to put in their cool room with strict instructions on how to handle it and it was presented back to us with a huge dent in the front of the cake. Not only was the cake damaged, devastating us all, but it made photos and memories difficult, and instead of joy, there were tears and very upset family on the day.

I would expect management to have at least offered some form of compensation for ruining an expensive cake and ruining our day. Overall poor food, little of it, overpriced - no value for money.

Great place to take younger children for dinner. However, it's a pity that they don't have a few more things to keep them busy and enjoying themselves in the kids room! The playground equipment is good but a little bit more effort wouldn't hurt. The kid's fish and chips are good, but the hamburger is horrible - more effort here would be appreciated. I still would recommend for those who have 3-4yrs olds despite the fact that some of the food could be better. The steak was nice but pretty expensive but no more expensive than other pubs.

This is truely an amazing Tavern the food at the dining part of this Tavern. My Dad had the Cesar Salad, my Mum had there Devil Chicken Wings and chips , and they were really nice with there hot sauce over them and I had the Chicken Parmijiana , and this was with vegetables and chips , the chef cooked them perfectly, and it was so big the meal I could not eat it all. The staff were very friendly and happy, they were really great, they cleaned the table after we had finished our beautiful meals .
I highly recommend this place to have your lunch , which started at 11.30am and your dinner as well. The meals are at a good price and even cheaper for Senior Citizens meals at $16.00, well worth the trip I say.
Thank you for the really great meals we all loved the meals and I will be going there a lot more often now I know how good their meals are at Mt Gravatt Tavern.

Was great as we went Sunday arvo and it was a great vibe and quite so we got food fast and quality was on point

Went here as a mutual location to meet family.
This has a playground for the kids and a small entertainment area too.

The ordering from the table left no area for changes or addons to meals.
Service fee for ordering .
Meals for the kids arrived in an ok time.
No ice creams which were in the price of the meals.
Additional steamed vegies had a hair in it. The kids pizza also had a black short curly hair in it (long straight dark brown blonde person here) and the kids drink had ants in it.
The parmigiana chicken was burnt and the vegetarian (only option for someone who chooses not to eat meat) toppings were not to the edge of the pizza.
2 adults 2 kids meals, glass of wine, 1 glass of lemonade, latte and 2 kids drinks (included int he meal) $100

Honestly over all we won't be back.

Our pub meal today was delicious! The ribs were moist, juicy and tasty, fell off the bone, nice size too, yummy fries and the mushroom sauce! Yum! The chicken schnitzel was also yummy, nice size, perfectly cooked & nice and thick.. staff were also friendly. Will definitely eat there again

Really helpful and patient staff, beautiful food (big servings!), and VERY yummy cocktails. The quietly busy atmosphere means you can have a conversation without yelling. They have both kids and seniors options that are great value. Kid's playground looks awesome.

Paul and Cheyene are absolute legends. They look after their patrons and we feel like part of the community by being served here and by them. Best pub in the area - hands down! The pool table is also why we come down - a quality pool table and only $3 a play.

Bar tender was lovely, the Restaurant however where clueless and had very poor customer service skills. The steaks where of very poor quality not worth 38.00 They also use bonded meat and charged close to 40 dollars for glued together eye fillet. 😳

Was a 230.00 order 3 steaks all terrible.
We would have come back if the woman running the restaurant was the least bit attentive or courteous.

The buffet Xmas day wasn't the best..$130.. under cooked vegetables. And over cooked seafood..lobster tasted like rubber..prawns were soft and old. Oysters were no where near fresh..pitty.

It's a solid two star experience. The staff are nice and probably the nicest part of the entire place. The food was slightly underwhelming for the price, more attention needs to be given to the sides, chips and salad etc. The place is about 20 years overdue for a renovation, Woolworths, who own it really need to start upgrades.

Great food! Staff were lovely and came to check on the meals part way through, also asked if we were done before taking the plates away. Great outdoor seating area, mostly shaded.

The best place to go after work for a drink & play the machine. Staffs are very lovely and wonderful. Always chatting with their customers & taking good care of them as well. A very welcoming place to be ?

Neat area, plenty of seating inside or outside. Parking available.
I didn't see mobility access, you'd need to check on website, otherwise, stairs at front entrance. Some parking out front, more to rear off building.

Friendly staff providing excellent service, the burger's are instantly delicious and the desserts are sensational yum 😋

Lovely place for an evening with friends or family. Food was decent, excellent service and polite staff. We ordered chicken parmigiana, veg supreme pizza and a 3rd item can't remember the name(mushroom balls or something). Pizza was very tasty. Chicken was a bit dry and the sauce with mushroom balls was too sour. The lime lemon bitters drink was the best of all.
We had a better overall experience at the club Southside in upper mount gravatt but this one's worth a visit too.

Great lunch. Porterhouse Steak perfectly cooked complimented with a large glass of Pepperjack Shiraz. Great company. Life is good.

Had such a good time here for Mother's Day breakfast! Quick and friendly service, and always delicious food. We visit regularly and our family always love it!

Went and had dinner here last night the food was cooked to perfection the steak just melted in my mouth! Karen was so lovely and helpful will definitely be back!

First time visiting and had an excellent dinner for 3. Steak was cooked to perfection and portions were large enough that it was hard to finish. Started off on a winner with the cheese bacon garlic bread yum! Staff were also pleasant and attentive. We will be back.

We had a fantastic night. The food was cooked to perfection! The servings were generous, and with a group of 12 ordering different meals, the wonderful chef team timed it impeccably. Our work group always chooses the MTG Hotel and the staff always go out of their way. Thank you so much for another enjoyable outing.

Wheelchair access is terrible. I had to phone to find out how to get in. A staff member had to open the gate from the beer garden, which only opens from the inside. Then you have to go through the sportsman bar back outside, along the terrace & back into the restaurant. Doors are closed so you need assistance to open the doors. There was no signage indicating wheelchair access.Keno & TAB were offline.Food was good value for the price.Please investigate better wheelchair access.

Great pub with great staff. The venue is very homely and a lot of fun. I have never had a bad experience here. The food has always been amazing and the beer has been even better. The ladies at the bar were super amazing on the 3rd origin game night. The staff you want for an origin game could not have provided a better experience. The venue has an outdoor eating and smoking area. Will be back for sure.

We went here tonight, for the first time in more than fifteen years. We ordered the lamb roast of the day, a rib fillet, and cheesy garlic bread.Beckie and the team were brilliant, and super friendly.The meals were perfect, absolutely huge, and came piping hot to the table.I highly recommend.
