Incredible food, catered to allergies exceptionally, and service was amazing. Staff were attentive and friendly. A hidden gem for good food.

Meals were good, even though on the pricier side for a pub, most of the staff were amazing except for 1 bartender who treated a sick 12 year old girl like she was a drunk reveller for accidentally vomiting in the bathroom, I understand cleaning vomit isn't a pleasure but there's such a thing as care & compassion and not walking past the parent and side eyeing her 4 times.
We didn't set out to take her out sick, it came on suddenly and sadly left after we realised that she was sick.

Exceptional surprise for my first time there. From the moment we arrived until we left, it was an experience I won't forget in a hurry. Food was exceptional, with my steak cooked to perfection, which is rare when you ask for a rare steak. Service again was exceptional staff, and they were totally willing to help with a smile. Professional and friendly, you can't ask for anything more. Food was great value for money with just the right serving size. Great atmosphere with that very old pub feel. Ideal for groups or that intimate meal for two. Certainly, I will be returning again and again. Extremely highly recommended. 10 stars

Four of us went to the hotel for a birthday dinner for myself. All our meals were served promptly and were delicious. One of the staff noticed I was opening birthday cards and much to my surprise, a short time later she came back with a card with birthday wishes written inside and also to go to the bar for a complimentary drink or dessert! This was most unexpected and a lovely gesture, thank you! Such a lovely old pub with decades of memories no doubt. Can recommend this lovely hotel for your next night out.

We called in for lunch and had the BEST salt & pepper squid ever, plus a GF Gnocchi. Care was taken to ask all the right questions about allergies and meals came out in no time! This pub has such an awesome vibe and lovely staff. We'll be back.

We had lunch on a warm Sunday afternoon. The chicken burger and chicken Parmi were cooked to perfection and Dom the lady who served us was definitely an asset to the hotel. Her attention to us was observant , not pushy and wanting to offer good customer service. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be returning for another meal. Well done.

I went to a wake today at this pub and the service we received from a lovely girl named Ali was 5 star , she was run off her feet, but did an outstanding job. Made sure everyone there was catered for very well. Thank you Ali you were awesome

Just a beaut character pub with good food and drinks selection. Definitely feels like an Aussie pub compared to many in Adelaide that have gone too modern and lost its actual pub appeal. With friends/family at each end of Adelaide, it's always the best spot to meet in the middle.

Last time we were here the cocktails took 30 minutes to come out and when they did they were made incorrectly. My partner had to explain how to make them properly.

We decided to give them another chance, the drinks took forever to come out which meant we had no drinks with our entrees.
We then ordered another drink and kids ice cream which mentions on their menu that there is a choice of toppings the first waitress we asked about this said there wasn't a choice, 40 minutes later we ask about the ice cream and he asked us what topping we wanted, we told him strawberry which he said was fine.... The ice cream and drink finally came out, the ice cream had no topping and we were given the wrong wine.

I will not be returning or recommending this establishment.

Food was proportioned strangely, half a chicken of protein but only a tiny serve of veg, should be small serve protein and large serve veg for healthy body and healthy weight......

They couldn't get my credit card to work on app they use, yet it worked on the same app at the unley few days earlier, so I not get my points, but at least they gave me my 50% discount on price b4charging me thru their eftpos system!!!!

I've been coming here for the past few weeks and I've loved the consistency in the friendly staff, the chips which were always the same and the hygiene. The food was away delicious, I loved the loaded hot dogs and the pastas. I loved using the app as it was convenient. The mug cake dessert was good. We also went on one of the nights the Matilda's were playing and the atmosphere was crazy! Love how there are heaters there too, really makes a chilly day nice.

Went for an early Sunday dinner and took advantage of the heavily advertised "happiest hour" promotion. It's a big pub, and it was certainly busy for 5:40pm on a Sunday (but certainly not full)

What was supposed to be a quick dinner ended up being 2 hours - our food (two Schnitzels) took over 1.5 hours to arrive. We asked the staff for an update at about 1:20 and we're told it was a challenging night for the kitchen and food was taking longer than usual. It took a second follow up to get an idea on how far away it would be. The staff were friendly despite the situation.

If you're going to implement a promotion like this, which will attract large amount of diners in a tight time frame, as well as large groups wanting to take advantage of ab affordable meal, my suggestions are as follows:

- Make sure your kitchen can handle it. Perhaps the menu needs to be consolidated, the deal only apply to specific meals that are easier to push out, etc
- Be proactive with your communication. The app told me that a cocktail would have a 15 min wait time - why did meals not have an expected wait time listed? Let the customer decide if they're happy to wait to take advantage of the deal or not
- Be more proactive on the floor. The staff knew that the food was very delayed, call past the tables that were waiting and be transparent - it would go a long way.

The Parmy's were fine - serving size was generous, chips lacked seasoning, schnitzel

We went on Saturday happy hour. it was fully packed. We managed a table outside. we ordered 3 steaks and cocktails. the cocktail was good. the steaks came late which is understandable on a busy day. But the steaks were tasteless. hard. we ordered medium rare. there was no salt or taste. went in to found some salt n pepper and cutlery. but didn't really help with the steaks. the stakes were $46 not cheap. though we paid half price but still, it was total waste of money. and there was no time to wait and get them re done. the chips and salads were really good. that's what we ate.

Could be just a busy day problem, or steak problem. all other food and reviews looks good. we were sitting outside, didn't take photos.

Schnitzel parmigiana was great, and the nacho starter was delicious. Staff friendly. Was a bit expensive, but everything is now!

I had my birthday lunch there today with a group of 14 and could not be happier with the service! This is the second birthday we've had there in a month and the staff have gone above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The food is amazing with plenty of gluten free options, and big portion sizes. Best customer service experience I've ever had, I'll definitely be going back!

Usually pretty happy with this place but recently been a bit disappointed. Had to wait an hour and an half for our meal tonight (fyi, we ordered schnitzel and meatball sub) and weren't notified out of courtesy until I asked - 3 times. Generally good but think the kitchen needs more hands.

We had a most delicious meal at this hotel last weekend. The main dining area was set up for Mother's Day and it looked stunning, Wisteria floral displays hanging from every available spot with elegant white linen and floral arrangements on the tables. Our main course was perfectly cooked Atlantic salmon with broccolini, honey glazed carrots and chat potatoes. Accompanying was the most delicious stone baked garlic bread with grilled cheese and covered in Parmesan. So delicious. Hats off to the head chef. This is exceptional food and ambience for a suburban hotel. Highly recommended.

Art, food full of flavour and texture and relaxed atmosphere. Come with a healthy appetite because the servings are generous. Loved the use of panko crumbs for the schnitzels and fish. Management on duty Sunday lunch was wonderfully kind to us. My teenager is autistic and their sensory issues does extend to food. The manager let us order the fish and chips from the kid's menu. Made for a positive experience. This is uncommon and it made our day.

Food is reliably delicious. The venue has plenty of character and charm which is great to see. Fantastic, welcoming local pub.

It was a great experience! It's spacious and comfortable. You'll be some steps from a beautiful bar, witch It's located downstairs. But don't worry. You won't hear any noise during the night. I'll give it four stars because I think it's possible to be cleaner. But nothing that you need to concern about.

I started my experience by entering the bar, I was a little lost until I found where I should check in. However, after getting help, the whole process flowed naturally. Hotel rooms are on the top floor and there is no elevator, only stairs. There was concern about the noise from the bar disturbing sleep, but it was something that did not happen. The bed was a little too soft, and a few dust spots in the room that needed more attention. Apart from those points mentioned above, the experience was positive, and having a bar literally 30 seconds from the room is a point that I consider very positive.

We booked for dinner early on a Saturday night. The hotel carpark was totally full already, so I'd allow more time for street parking, for future.

The place was buzzing, decor everywhere was interesting to look at, great atmosphere.

Staff in stripey shirts were helpful, friendly and efficient, great service. The stripey shirts were a good way, to identify the staff.

The food was underwhelming and overcooked, sadly. (Grilled salmon, pepper n salt squid.). If we didn't have to get going for a concert, would have mentioned this to staff.

the A3 drinks/food menu didn't mention cocktails, sowe didn't order any. Would have, even if it just said "speak to bar staff if you want cocktails".

Because the service staff were so good, we'll return another time, just for a cocktail. Only discovered they do cocktails, when leaving.

The staff in the bottelo on the side are awesome and always super helpful - love that they sometimes have tastings of new wines and spirits as well. But it's always clean and well stocked. Good range of craft beers and rtds.

Had a meal on a monday night. Booked online, and dined in The Den, with art deco interior and a warming fireplace (it was a cold winter's night). A good selection of beers on tap and wine. Meals were fresh and good quality. Would go back again, a great atmosphere.

My wife and I stayed overnight at this lovely hotel. We found the customer service to be top class and every staff member we encountered was service focused. The Manager was above and beyond in assisting us resolve a temporary timing problem. Restaurant meals were first class and facilities excellent. Bed was very comfortable and we'll definitely be back there.

Great location, great country pub BUT no flexibility at all. I stayed here 2 nights during my trip to Adelaide.

1st day: called them at 11am because I was early for my check in. Been told there is a $20 early check in fee because the check in time is at 2pm. I arrived at the hotel at 1.30pm and been told no one can check me in until 2pm. Waited around 30min then one of the staff checks me in. Attitude of the staff: annoyed, briefly told me there is a check out fee and showed me my room. I was tired, it was my birthday and just wanted my room, they just made it so hard for me.

Went back to the hotel and wanted to order dinner. Been told the kitchen closes at 9pm. I checked the time and it was 9.06pm. I have been asked if I'd like a dessert 😨 Well yeah, still food but not quite the same

2nd day: called them at 9.30am to check if I can leave the luggage there since the check out is at 10 and my flight is at 2pm. Been told I have to be physically there before 10am otherwise I have to pay the late check out fee. I have mentioned my luggage is in my room purely because no one was there in the morning to leave my luggage out. Been told I have to pay the fee.

As said, no flexibility and the staff attitude wasn't great from day 1.

I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend it if you'd like some flexibility.

I really like this place and highly recommend it. The staff are friendly and service is fast. A good range of things on the menu, but the prices are a little high. Good quality food though so you get what you pay for. Also a good drink selection Pepsi on tap not Coca Cola. It also has a really nice vibe, very chill and stress free. Only con is it can be a bit pricey and no only Pepsi on tap

Booked for only one night as was in Adelaide for business. The apartment was very clean, and ready for my arrival at 1pm (paid for early check in). All staff were great, and the pub itself is a place I'd love to come back to next time in Adelaide... but not stay there again. I had the sirloin deal for dinner, and honestly, the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare to my taste. So good. The bed was really comfy. The pillows were the best - I stay in a LOT of motels/hotels and find squishy horrible pillows everywhere, but these were great. I have given two stars for one reason only: the apartment was above the beer garden, and staff left music pumping until 4AM, well after the place was closed. I know it's a pub, I expected it to be noisy. But I had about 3 hours sleep all night, and had to go to work, then head to Melbourne later in the day. Please think about your accommodation guests as well as the folks downstairs. That simple thing made my stay pretty rotten, and ensured I won't book to stay again. I will, absolutely, be back to enjoy the tunes, food, beers and banter with staff, but then head off to snooze elsewhere. Best of luck to you all!
