Lovely meal,great service and atmosphere. very good sized and price meals x 4 .

2nd rate food! Slow sevice! Dont get the lunch special, they treat you different than if you ordered a normal meal! Parmigana was dry thin overcooked and old cold chips thrown under snitzel! Didnt get our orders correct, 2 out of four were wrong! Sarah just made excuses for their unprofessional service! Wouldnt recomend!

Wow! Went for dinner, tried the special of Chorizo & Prawn Pasta $30.
Food - Fresh, quick, hot, Super Delicious! Massive serving with no less than 13 big prawns and what seemed like a whole chorizo! In spaghetti pasta with a beautiful garlic and spice oil dressing (still tasting the garlic 😜)
I eat big meals, this busted me. Had to take half home in a container that still looked like a full meal!
Service - All the ladies at the bar were amazing, smiling, friendly and helpful to all

Best meals in the week we've been in Tassie. Great food, great staff, friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend you stop here for a meal.

Wow! It's been a few years since my last visit and so worth the beautiful drive to Midway Point. We ate in the pub area. Fun and smiles in a small country vibe. 8ball table in the public lounge and super friendly staff. I'd go back in a second. The menu is great, wonderful selection. I had a seafood platter and my friend had the snags, chips and egg. Can't wait to go back and maybe next time win my 8ball game. I felt like I was on a holiday. Go Midway! Didn't get pics as I was too busy stuffing my face! 😆😀

My Husband and I have been customers of the Midway Tavern for a long time.
Unfortunately we will now now longer Return here due to the Rude Staff member who was too busy Scrolling on her phone to serve us at the counter while wanting to book in for a meal.
We waited at the counter for 5 min ...the place was empty so staff were not busy, the staff member looked up at us then picked up her phone and began Scrolling totally ignoring us......we walked out.
I then called from the car to discuss the matter to be told the kitchen didn't open till 5.30 we were there at 5.20.....what is wrong with a bit of customer service advising us that meals don't start till 5.30 and offer a drink.....which we would have been happy to wait and have a drink but instead ignored and treated rudely on the phone also (which I sure was the phone scroller on the phone)

Food and portions were great and staff were extremely kind. I got the chicken burger which was slightly bigger than i expected but great nonetheless.

She told us to take a seat in the second room which was beginning to be set up for a function that night. Waitress quite rude and told us we shouldn't be in there but allowed us to stay as there was no other tables (noted she didn't say anything to others that followed us in there). We weren't expecting too much at this stage but the meals made up for everything! Absolutely wonderful scallops, huge REAL salad and crispy well cooked chips. Definitely will give it another go, maybe staff just having a rough day.

Went a few weeks ago. The twins serving were amazing such great customer service. Meals were ok.

Staff were pleasant however meal left a lot to be desired. This was the 1st time I've eaten here, so disappointing. I had the 200g Rump Steak with chips & salad $18 at lunch time with a group. Steak was tough & salad was not usual healthy green salad, it was coleslaw covered in dressing.

Boring coleslaw on offer for months. $9 piece of pavlova came with yuk tinned fruit, rip off. Very ordinary. Veg. were tough and tasteless. Only good thing here was a rare appearance of potato salad. If you can't bother changing up the side salads, why should we bother coming.

Lady in charge of a day is absolutely Awful. The way she speaks to patrons isn't pleasant. And the way she treats staff isn't pleasant to hear even if it's her daughter. Food great as always.

After first visit for lunch it was a no brainer that we would be back. Great menu to suit all tastes and budget. Top class service with friendly staff.

Bar service for food and drinks unfortunately. Excellent meals. Quantity, quality and budget prices. Where else can you have whole grilled flounder with fresh veg/chips n salad for $22. Best and most inexpensive large desserts for $6/$8. Try the apple crumble for $6, beautifully presented with icecream and cream.

Bottle Shop, cateloge stating ccs - jameson premix cans pack 10 $39.99, on arrival I asked the young girl if they had any jameson cans zero sugar, she answered no ( This was on the Tuesday 20th) but the Christmas stock will be arriving tomorrow (Wednesday) and she guaranteed me jameson zero sugar will be arriving, went to pick them up only to find out they didn't have any and cateloge had finished

Great food, excellent portions at good prices

Got the killapick oysters, it's was just loaded with bacon. Got the crumbed scallops large meal thank God we did cause it was small the salad had no dressing the scallops wasnt even cleaned properly. Got a streak it was nearly blue. When I asked for medium raw. Just say I left very unhappy and disappointed. I'll never go back there again heading to mcdonalds now to get a real feed. The chef there atleast knows how to cook.

Some of the best food I've eaten. It was highly recommended to me and I would highly recommend it everyone.

Great meal, huge serving. So if you are a small eater go for a small serve. Nice and flat access but the walkway to the door was to steep and very hard to push a wheelchair on.
Best to use the main entrance.

Very busy waited over 10 minutes to be served and older lady staff member tried to serve some1 else 1st maybe friends as the people told her we were 1st. today Sunday was not at all helpful or nice tried to send me and my family including a 4 year old to the bar the websites says 1 lot of meals and they have a completely different lot of menus

Fantastic meals, the only let down was one staff member that should not be working in customer service. She was rude, blunt and gave the impression that everyone came to dine there just to ruin her day. No idea of her name but she had a long Pony tail in a platt.
I suggest she needs to find another job working with inanimate objects.

Gorgeous counter meals, amazing quality steak and value for money. The pavlova dessert was sub par though. I purchased a takeaway meal for my mother which was also somewhat lacking. Regardless I would recommend this place :)

We had the crumbed mushrooms, cheese and garlic bread, a bowl of veggies and pavlovas. Everything was cooked well and tasted nice. There wasnt any vegetarian main options which was a little disappointing but we had plenty of food with what we ordered.
