I recently visited the McKinnon hotel for a staff function, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst hospitality experiences I\'ve ever had.

There were approximately 20 people in our group, and the meals were an absolute disaster. At least six of them were completely inedible, bland, tasteless, poorly presented, and served as though nobody in the kitchen cared in the slightest. One meal even appeared to have a bug in it, which completely destroyed any confidence we had in the cleanliness and food preparation standards of the venue.

Unfortunately, the disappointment didn\'t end there. After dinner, we spent some time in the games room, and the service was just as bad. Staff appeared disinterested, slow to respond, and acted as though serving customers was an inconvenience.

The entire venue felt poorly managed, and there was a complete lack of pride in either the service or the overall customer experience.

For a venue that promotes itself as somewhere people can enjoy a meal and a night out, this hotel failed on every level. Between the poor-quality food, the disappointing service, and the overall atmosphere, it was an experience none of us will ever forget, for all the wrong reasons.

Needless to say, our entire group agreed we won\'t be returning. There are far better places that actually value their customers and take pride in the food they serve.

I recently celebrated my 60th birthday in the upstairs function room at McKinnon hotel, and I couldn\'t have been happier with the experience.
From the very beginning, Ella was incredibly helpful, assisting with the detailed planning and ensuring everything would run smoothly throughout the day. Her professionalism and attention to detail made the whole process stress-free.

When we arrived, the function room was beautifully set up and exactly as we had hoped. The food was fantastic, and all of our guests commented on the quality and variety. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the event, making everyone feel welcome.

I was especially impressed with how well the team catered for guests with dietary requirements, ensuring everyone was looked after and able to enjoy the celebration.
Thank you to Ella and the entire team for helping make my 60th birthday such a memorable and special occasion. I would highly recommend McKinnon hotel for any function or celebration.

? was very good waiter on Saturday night after 7.30 pm Can\'t remember his name. . Food was nice. It was a bit noisy when we first arrived. It would be a good idea to have a quieter area away from
babies and prams.

We had the most amazing experience, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were fantastic particularly Chloe and Love who served us were outstanding. So friendly, extremely knowledgeable and made us feel totally comfortable.
We will definitely be back and highly recommend the McKinnon hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always love going to our local; the McKinnon. Staff are very friendly, they are always very welcoming and excited to see their regular patrons. The staff in the bar even remember your drink order for when you come back another day. I've personally never had a bad meal here, the menu is pretty stock standard with the pub classics, but also have other things on the menu for those wanting a more exotic meal.
