On Fridays there is an amazing pianist who livens up the place. Had a lot of fun singing along to some familiar songs

More vegetables in here than Flemington Markets; a truly depressing place. It's a great place to go if you have no other hobbies other than gambling. If you love the TAB, you're in for a treat, it may distract you from drinking but you'll probably find your wallet a little lighter. Have you wasted away your inheritance? Spent your child's college fund? This is the place for you. Paddy's Brewey is also located in here but it was shut at 3pm on a Saturday. They also don't do jugs of beer and don't have personalised beer coasters. In truth I've never seen so many sunken eyes, everyone here is a zombie. But then again, I'm in here, so what does that say about me.

Great budget hotel. Rooms were surprisingly well presented. The regular patrons even made you feel at home, ready for a chat.

I didn't stay there so can't comment on the rooms. I went to the Brewery restaurant. Love the Freddie's favorite which never fails me. It's the most expensive at $45 but it's worth it. As it's a pub setting, you have to pick up the food from counter when the buzzer buzzes. The people who work there are cheerful and very friendly. There's carpark right outside.

First time here was today 19th Nov 2023, friendly staffs and the venue so amazing and clean. I felt very welcomed by the staffs and security guard is so cool. I'll probably go back there again. ?????

We stayed here when we saw BLACKPINK at Qudos because all the Olympic Park accommodation was sold out. It was about a 25min walk which wasn't too bad. Entering the hotel is confusing, but the reception desk is in the casino area. You will recognise it as there were bowls of fruit and lollies on the desk. The room was comfortable enough for one night however the mould in the air conditioner vent was unappealing. Also the sink was not in the bathroom but the main area beside the bed and no hand towel which was inconvenient. The staff were friendly though and the food in the restaurant area was ok. I particularly appreciated the QR code ordering system.

You have to go through the [---] room gaming area to the counter there to check in and out. This is the smoking lounge and as non-smokers this was quite an uncomfortable experience, breathing in second hand smoke and vape while we waited and went through the check-in process.

Happy hour 4-6pm (Thursday) in the bar. $10 for two schooners was good.

The room had everything we needed and was comfortable.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Awesome Friday night entertainment with great food! The Pianist/Singer was top notch, wonderful choice of songs, all washed down with great food and drink! Head on down there!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful night of piano music and some singing last night in the bistro. Beautiful reasonably priced food. Friendly service. Stunning pianist.

Great pub/Motel opposite Flemington market if you want to wind down after a nite out on Saturday/Sunday. Opens at 6 am. The service was excellent in the gaming room as well as the TAB area. (Very attentive bar staff) Although I haven't tried their food in the bistro nor stayed in their motel rooms. The other 2 areas of the establishment mentioned above delivered a very welcoming service on my first visit.

Last night, for the first time, we have choosen Market Hotel (MH) bistro, to celebrate Christmas with our friends (22 people). It was an amazing night.
The staff are so welcoming and treated us with the utmost respect.
The food, specially the steak ( Scotch fillets & T-bone steaks were so tenders & juicy, the barramundi were so fresh & chicken schnitzel was a big size).
The chef, Rahul is very professional as well as his kitchen staff, are very friendly. They will always take time to listen to any specific dietary meals.
The bar girls are polite & friendly too. They brew there own beer at the hotel.
We are all so happy & thankful with the meals and drinks, we will be surely back for another event.

It was a blast the service was very inviting and informative as they were quick to sort everything out for me and showed me to my room. The room is enough for a couple with a plus one if you like. The room is really good with noise suspension even tho you are right above the restaurant and bar.
It is also good to know that the [---] room stays open to around 3am which will come in handy for anyone with questions about anything, this does include office for the room services

Stayed one night on 26 Sep 2022.
Booking was done some weeks before.
Was quite surprised with the hotel facilities. The room was clean and quiet but a quirk was the wash basin was not in the bathroom.
The location turned out to be good as it was a short 5 minutes walk to the Flemington train station.
The hotel has a bar, restaurant and slot machines.
The hotel reception is actually with the slot machine section.

Stayed another night here after travelling around.
Got a different room and again the wash basin is located outside the bathroom.
Also same as before, room clean and comfortable, staff friendly as before

The hotel is a casino. No breakfast, but there is a nice cafe next door. No lift!!! So haul your luggage up. The nice room service lady will come once a day. Basic but ok. Good parking

Improvements:
- while they have a table tennis table (free) and pool table (paid) it's in the smoking section, so it sucks when playing with your kids.
- there is no play area for kids. If they put one in, this place would be even better!!

I happened to go here for dinner last Friday and was so delighted to find there was a live piano being played by a real and talented musician! The warm tones of the piano welcomed us as we came through the door, and drew us into the room. We had a delightful dinner with relaxing music to accompany us. Congratulations to this Hotel for providing LIVE music. Definitely will be back on Fridays regularly for this.

A hidden gem that no one speaks of. The food is consistently good (always ask for chefs specials) staff are all very friendly and you can also bring a dog to the outside area while you watch the game and have some drinks. One of my favourite pubs in Sydney.

Small rooms that need a bit of jazzing up but still was a comfortable stay. Staff are wonderful, friendly and always putting guests first. The hotel is in a great spot for quick access to train station, Flemmington markets and Olympic Park. Great cheap spot to stay if heading to Stadium Australia for footy or concert etc. All in all for the price it's a good place to crash for the night. Thanks peoples

Liked it. Nice people running it. Clean and it's close to the Animal hospital where one of our pets was admitted.

Both bedside lights weren't working. I'm sure they would have changed them if they were told. I didn't bother though. No power point near the bed for any chargers. Room was clean and had the usual amenities.

The staff are next level when it comes to a service with a smile. I am a regular customer who has been coming here since the past 6 years and this place just excels in every way.

The restaurant's Head Chef is an absolute star! His attention to detail and passion for food offers perfection every time which is backed up by his staff.

The ladies in the bar and gaming area greet you with a warm smile and have an infectious warm and welcoming personality that makes you feel like a V.I.P. customer every time.

So grateful to have such a welcoming pub in my local area.

Good pub, good beers, the micro brewery is cool. Also. Get them to use the outside windows. They are sick. I want them in my house.

would not recommend to anyone unless desperate. it took us 30 minutes to find the reception, absolute disgraceful for a hotel. our children were horrified when we had to go through a poker room area just to find reception. would not recommend to any family people wanting to have a nice start to a holiday/weekend away. wouldnt even give a star rating if there was an option

Great bistro with classic pubfare, had an awesome haloumi sandwich (steak sandwich and swapped the meat for haloumi) just delicious. Staff are welcoming and friendly.
