The food here is so delicious and thoughtful. Hats off for being able to keep the pub vibe while excelling in the quality of food on offer. Farm to plate and just delicious. The atmosphere here is also really cool. Live music, nice people and just 5/5. We have been here quite a few times and it never disappoints. If you are passing through make sure you book a spot and enjoy what's on offer.

Ordered the "Not your average parmi". This was a great fresh variation to a parmi with a chicken karage style base and prosciutto and chutney. I loved their motto of limiting waste of food and sourcing seasonal products, however this was $32 which was slightly on the pricy side for the portions and quality.
We made a reservation to be on the balcony and whilst we waited for 10-20m for our table the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the view of the Kenilworth farmland was beautiful.

This is quite simply a brilliant venue.

Combines both a country pub, pull up a stool and sink a cold one, with a destination menu. The food is off the charts good. The carrots continue to haunt me - in a good way.

Our community choir ( The Mapleton Choir) gathered in their Green Room on a Saturday afternoon. It was perfect for our group of 30 and we had pre-ordered platters and were not disappointed by the tasty spread of food they supplied. Plenty of room for us, a small stage for the couple of performances and they didn't mind that we had an enthusiastic sing a long as well. All who attended said it was a great place for our social gathering!

The food was outstanding, particularly the carrots with 'nduja. The cabbage dish also deserved a mention. I liked the wagyu corned beef, but it didn't impress as much as the carrots, which were just incredible.

The view is great, it's a lovely building. I have nothing bad to say. "Hidden gem" is over-used, but here it works.

Been twice now! Once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times we were so impressed. We love that they collaborate with a local farm up the road for the freshest produce which changes seasonally. And the duck was literally sublime! Cooked to perfection. For lunch we had burgers and again, it was so good ??'?🏼 😋

Not the Traditional Public House (Pub) anymore. Very limited menu, expensive hamburger ($26) without chips, however the burger was very good as it should be for the price. Good view of the sunshine coast, service was good. It you are looking for the traditional cheap hotel food go somewhere else.

Had dinner for two on the verandah. But breezy & cold, but the staff cheerily provided blankets if needed. Great food (beef cheeks). Actually, better than great!!! Staff and service beyond reproach, despite a busy night. Always smiling & up for a quick chat. A wonderful atmosphere. Can't wait to get back.:-)

Decided to try this place after seeing an article on new restaurants around the coast. Although the pub is not new but the owners must be and the menu is not your usual "pub grub". There were some pub classics available but with more of a flair. But we opted for the 3 course paddock to plate style menu and it did not disappoint. The entree of lamb with burrata and salad was just divine. But the main of a massive pork chop with selection of seasonal veg with mash was just superb!. The roasted carrot was something that just partied in my mouth it was that good. The dessert was equally amazing. The atmosphere didn't quite match the food as it felt like I was eating at your classic pub bistro with the locals hanging in the front bar but that didn't matter as the food was so worth it. Yes a little pricey but hey you get what you pay for these days and this meal is definitely worth saving a few bucks and having a night out. Highly recommend!

Hubby had the burger and said it was great. Daughters and I left it to the chef with 2 course paddock to plate chef selection for $65 each. Both entree and mains were amazing and all produce was incredibly fresh.

We love the outstanding customer service, thanks to a delightful lady, combined with the delicious main courses of chicken schnitzel and steak, made for a memorable dining experience. The icing on the cake was the beautiful mountain view of Maleny, making it a highly recommended place for an all-around wonderful time!

This pub is such a great venue, we'd been a couple of times. Our last visit was unfortunately a miss for us. I can appreciate the menu changes to suit seasonality and the local produce, however the menu was small and overpriced.

We ordered a couple of starters before our mains at lunch, and took a chance on a veggie terrine. What we got, was a few picked vegetables and a scoop of pumpkin. It was $28. In hindsight, I wished I'd sent it back because that was certainly not a dish worth close to $30. The service was slow, and to be honest, comes across a little pretentious for a place that really hasn't nailed the experience they seem to be aiming for. We waited 40 minutes between starters and mains with empty drinks on the table between the two of us.

All in all, a really clunky service that needs far more refinement, but on the other hand, a good feed in an amazing country pub and town should not necessarily be trying so hard.

As someone who works for the farm that supplies the fresh vegetables I can guarantee you that the veggies are A grade, grown about 3km away from the pub itself.
Great food and awesome vibes, sometimes even live music.
Some fun family activities like pool which is definitely nice with a cold drink.
Would go again but prices are a bit steep.

Had the set menu Mothers Day 3 course lunch today - really innovative dishes & all delicious, especially the lovely lamb short loin. Staff were great - so was service. All up it got a very big tick.

Food and view was amazing! Staff were extremely friendly, and helped me find an amazing viewing platform close by, that also had a walking trial! Highly recommended

The service was professional and honest. Hazel was very good. The food was exceptional - MPH oysters where a fantastic way to start and the recommendation by Hazel for entree was dead on. That was Mitch's jersey milk cheese and the beef tartare The mains are big and potentially shareable. We are the fish of the day which was a beautifully cooked crispy snapper, and the Porchetta, which was the special.

We appreciated some stunning vege dishes like the beetroot entree, carrot steak as well as some pub classics like chicken schnitzel and mash plus pork n pineapple entree. The quality, service and presentation was 5 star. The staff super friendly and helpful.. The menu has a selection of new and old dishes, so something for everyone. We look forward to trying out some more options next time.

Haven't eaten at this pub for many many years but wow things have changed around here for the better. The pub still has its old nostalgia feel but the food we saw and ate was stunning pub food. The porchetta (special) was amazzzzzing and the antipasto platter had some stunning flavours, the house made ricotta was to die for. I would suggest you try it out before the word gets out about this place. We'll be back for sure!

I ordered the cheeseburger for lunch and received a raw and pink beef patty which was disappointing as well as the buns being stale. Definitely would not recommend this meal since the food is not worth the money being paid for it. Other than this the views were great and is in a great spot to eat.

What a great pub! One of the best views on the Sunny Coast, looking down over the Hinterland and back to the beach. Service is friendly and food is bloody tasty. A good range of drinks to choose from too. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Well done guys on getting a huge reputation for being the hinterlands newest SS hot spot. I am sorry when a restaurant/public house thinks it's their responsibility to ask for personal medical information to enter should be utterly ashamed of themselves. You better have a good legal team to help with the response to your segregation and discrimination claims that are heading your way. You are acting on mandates and not in line with Law, sorry to say I don't think you will survive what is to come. At the end of the day, you might learn that this disgusting behaviour is not acceptable.

What a great atmosphere with homey welcoming staff. Your typical beers at the local with killer views. The food was great but we did wait an hour for our view. However, it's not a bad place to be stuck at for that long with a view like that.

A scenic lunch venue with a friendly but tranquil atmosphere. The drinks were cold and the lunch outstanding. My husband said you couldn't beat his steak sandwich and chips but I think my Jalapeno Pulled Pork burger with slaw and chips was fantastic! It was so tasty and moist with just the right amount of spicy heat. Plenty of parking behind the building. Definitely a place to revisit!

Called in for Sunday lunch - 23 May 2021 - excellent!
Menu had plenty to choose from. Almost had the 'roast of the day' (lamb), but decided on a steak sandwich... just the best steak sandwich I've ever had! Juicy, tender steak, cheese, bacon, fried onion, salad, sauce, on toasted bread... awesome! And the chips were pretty good too.
Staff in the servery and the bar were really friendly. Made the experience even better.
I will be back for more when I'm in the area again.

On a whim our Saturday ride ended up at this gem in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

From the friendly assistance at the entrance to the magnificent (& fantastically priced) meals, our little MC group have never had a bad experience! Kudos to the staff who checked on everyone's enjoyment of their cuisine and beverages.

Lovely country pub. Good old fashioned service and atmosphere. Stopped in for dinner - traditional pub faves, good steak, chips and salad large serve and delicious.

We dropped in while out on a ride. The bar staff were very accommodating with us and all our bike gear even tho they were really busy. They were really lovely in the bar and the kitchen.

I've been to this AMAZING tavern 3 times and it has NEVER failed to impress me! The location is amazing and right on the mountain; you can see as far as the eye can see! The food is reasonably priced and is fresh, has good quantity. The place is very clean and is well maintained. If you're ever coming past Mapleton come on and HEAD ON IN to the Mapleton Tavern, it will never fail to impress and you will be as full as a boot! Come on in and grab a drink, relax and look at the stunning views. HIGHLY recommend coming here!
