So thought I would try the MH Tavern, plus was beer was cold, calamari was tender.
My 180g steak was well small. It was over cooked, I asked for medium, there was more sauce than stake. For 4 groups inside it 30 mins for my food, and everyone else was already eating. Staff were present but not friendly.

Martin and myself ordered rump steak with chips and salad. We both enjoyed the food and Martin said he had the best rump steak ever. Thank you Arjun!

For the price you pay, the food is very mediocre. $38 for a salad that was basically a bag of lettuce and 3 chicken tenders.
Looked like previous patrons let their kids have a food fight of some sorts. There was so much food on the ground that scattered to where we were sitting and wasnt cleaned up so the poor staff had to clean it up during a very busy dinner rush.
The staff were amazing and friendly however, kudos to them and their professionalism.

I've been to Mango Hill Tavern multiple times before, but tonight absolutely blew me away. Mother's Day was understandably busy, yet the service and timing were incredible from start to finish.

A huge shoutout to Ellie, who was honestly exceptional. She had to ID me after I'd already ordered my martini and unfortunately I didn't have my ID on me, so I had to quickly drive home to grab it. It was mildly inconvenient, sure, but she was simply doing her job properly and I genuinely can't fault her for that at all. If anything, it was my mistake for not bringing it. What really stood out was how kind and professional she was about the whole situation. She even offered us dessert on the house because she appreciated that we were understanding, which was completely unnecessary but so thoughtful.

Despite how busy the venue was, our food came out surprisingly fast and we never felt forgotten or stuck waiting around. The meals were HUGE too. I included a photo with my butter knife next to the chicken parmigiana for scale because the thing practically needed its own postcode.

I also tried the vegan mud cake with coconut ice cream and wow. I'm not vegan myself, I just like trying different things, but it was genuinely amazing. You would never guess it was vegan, and the coconut ice cream paired with it perfectly.

Tonight reminded me why I keep coming back. Great food, generous portions, and service that genuinely makes you feel looked after. Ellie turned what could have been an awkward situation into such a positive experience, and I left seriously impressed.

We rarely eat out because our son has severe allergies, and dining out can feel incredibly stressful for us. From the moment we arrived, Emma was absolutely amazing. She took the time to listen carefully and completely understood the seriousness of our concerns.
Emma personally spoke directly with the chef, who reassured us that he would prepare our son's meal in a dedicated, separate area to avoid any cross-contamination. That level of care and attention went far beyond anything we've experienced locally before.
To feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported meant the world to us. Because of the team's professionalism and kindness, we were able to relax and actually enjoy our evening ( something we don't often get to do when eating out )

We are truly blown away and so grateful. Thank you for making our family feel safe and welcome. We will absolutely be back.
