Staff is amazing, who went next level to provide exceptional and quick service, special mention to Steph behind the bar (who smells AMAZING) and the chef who cooks fantastic food.

It is an old fashioned establishment as it has a lot of frames of a wedge tailed eagle, 1 or 2 cricketers, crossroads and more
The chicken schnitzel is brilliant plus this venue has a jukebox, a piano, snackfoods, beverages in chillers, a Magpies football guernsey and more

Went for a meal . Ordered Scotch Fillet steak , with mushroom gravy , usually served with chips and salad , I substituted chips and salad for mashed potatoes .....Big Mistake ! ....it came out with INSTANT MASHED POTATOE! , and a very doughy bread roll . Not impressed , although the steak was cooked well , it was tiny and for what was on the plate grossly overpriced ($48.00)

One of the only places we could find open on Boxing Day. I said I had Ceoliac when I ordered a "chicken burger minus the bun" and the chef prepared an amazing gluten feee meal (deconstructed chicken burger with extra trimmings). Best service and consideration I've had in years. Thank you, Chef!

Stayed at the campsite and had a great meal at the hotel. The barmaid and locals were friendly, worth stopping the night if you are travelling

On our journey around Gawler, Roseworthy, Mallala, Two Wells and Virginia attended the bar at the Mallala Hotel for a break & lunch.
Unfortunately the kitchen was closed and a random power blackout had the local lads firing up the electric generator for TV, beer taps & eftpos machines.
Regardless the historic pub was a cool comfortable temperature, atmosphere & local patrons were friendly and bar service was good.
Yes i would return to this good watering hole. 😋

Classic country town pub. Nice staff, outdated decor but nice and clean. Lots of cricket memorabilia around. Service was quick and meals were very large. I got a fish and chip special for $18 and it came out with 3 fillets of fish (enough for 2 people!). Partner go the chicken Parma for $23 which was tasty and a good size. Nice cheap beer too (for us city folk!)

This is a great country pub with pretty decent food and a lively atmosphere. They have a regular T-Bone steak & Beer deal on the menu which I tried with a little scepticism because of the low price. It was a beautiful tender T-Bone cooked perfectly! I will definitely be back.

Great food, Southern Fried Chicken Entree was good and the Main meals Seafood, Chicken and Beef were very nice. We sat outside, the main street was very busy and noisy but we had the choice to be inside so not a problem with the venue - great little old country Pub

Been here a couple of years ago and lunch was good then, this time it was no different nice cider on tap.

One of the best country pubs around, it has it all, food, betting and friendly casual atmosphere. Awesome
