Drove nearly 2hrs to try their schnitzels as everyone raved about them. Food excellent, value for money. It is a real old style pub with character.

A truly genuine fair dinkum country pub with free camping adjacent. In the middle of nowhere all by itself but full to rafters with patrons (on a Wednesday night).
Great atmosphere and the food was excellent. A genuine Aussie mixed grill and the wife had a calamari schnitty (never seen it before anywhere) and it was superb.
These sorts of pubs are few and far between these days and a real treat when you find 'em.

Went with work mates on way to a work thing. What a surprise! Love that it is just so true to it's roots. No glam here. Good sized meals, fastish service, and tasty. Great decor. Will be back

Old school country pub - simple, dated but clean interior. We arrived at 6:45 pm and was very busy as cheap schnitzel night. $5 pint of pale ale at the time (happy hour I'm guessing). We ordered beef schnitzel, Diane sauce and veggies. Came out quickly and served with warm bread rolls and butter. Meal was most certainly larger serve size and tasty. Quite a few different veggies. Paid $34 for 2 good meals and 2 beers! Took leftovers home for lunch next day! Convenient stop on way to Yorke Peninsula so will be stopping again no doubt!
Also, spotted what looks like a caravan camp spot on the grass block next door.

Love this place. Friendly staff and regulars.
Great service and fantastic meals.
We have been here several times and the food never disappoints. The salads on the side are wonderful.
Makes a change to the little bowel of weeds you normally get.

If you're driving to or from Adelaide and need a meal try the Lower Light Hotel. $20 got us gigantic pork and porterhouse schnitzels with sauce plus all the salad bar favourites - curried rice, coleslaw, potato, pasta, curried egg, beetroot, lettuce, tomato and broccoli. Plus $7 Coopers pints and great staff.

A diamond in the rough. We drove from Morphett Vale to Lower Light (1 hour and 10 minutes approximately). Monday and Thursday nights are $12 schnitty nights. You have the option of beef/chicken/pork or calamari with chips and salad or vegetables. Regular gravy is included. If you want surf and turf or parmigiana it's an extra $4. The servings are very generous. Vegies include mashed potato, cabbage with bacon, creamed cauliflower,  carrots, peas, beans and brussel sprouts.
Salad includes Cauliflower and broccoli salad, pasta salad, potato salad, rice salad, beetroot, half a boiled egg, tomato, cucumber, onion and lettuce.
The meal also comes with a warm bread roll and butter. We plan on coming back asap and hopefully with more friends and family.
I had chicken schnitzel with chips, veg and gravy. My friend had chicken schnitzel surf and turf with chips and salad and his girlfriend had a massive rump steak with chips and salad and tomato sauce. The rump steak meal was $30 and worth every cent.
We ended up taking home leftovers.

Old style pub, do not expect any special treatment or pleasantries but make sure you go for the Delicious meals. Can't wait to go again... I had chicken snitzel with creamy bacon sauce with veg. Mr. had mixed grills with no complaints. Garlic bread was hot and tasty.

Advised by friends to give this place a try & are we so glad we did. Had lunch there today, steak sandwich great and so well priced at $12. My child's serve of Chicken parmigiana, upgraded to include salad was so tasty. 7 different salads on the plate plus chips. Serve so big, I had to ask for container, had enough for my tea & was just as good as it was at lunchtime.
Drinks also very reasonably priced.
Definitely recommend this place, we will return.

The Meals were lovely.

Shame that the male bar attendant (publican??) was so rude and curt!!

The lady on the other hand was pleasant and friendly.

Stayed on the grass in the caravan and had to stop on for a beer (or 3) and schnitzel.
Well, turns out that was the best decision this week.
The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and the beer was cold. Pretty hard to ask more of a country pub.

We pulled in to the free camp with our caravan, beside the Lower Light Hotel. The hotel served large, scrumptious, reasonably priced meals which we enjoyed immensely, after a long day of travel. The staff were friendly as well. We would recommend this free camp for an overnight stay.

Great little pub short distance out of Adelaide. Great friendly owners and chatty locals. Free camp next door clean and spacious overlooking the pastures. But what a great meal on Snitty night (Thursday) $12 for calamari schnitzel cooked beautifully wit 10 vegies plus chips!!! Highly recommend a free camp stopover😉
