We have had some terrific work functions there. The parmi and pot deal for lunch is excellent value ??'?

I couldn't even eat my disgusting wet salad which was served 10 minutes after everyone else got their meals. The only saving grace for this place was the beautiful Philo waitress.

Our friends live local to the venue and it's their default to attend.

Each time we have attended this venue it's been a disappointment from rude staff included the managers son to long wait times for diabetic patrons. Yes the venue is pretty and upgraded but meals and staff need upgrading too.

We have tried the beef ribs which were tough and didn't fall off the bone. Roast was dry and potatoes weren't cooked.

Went here for lunch with friends. Very welcoming on arrival. Fantastic venue looks like it has been recently renovated. Modern bright open. Many different dining options both indoor and outdoor. Family friendly. Large sports bar with a good atmosphere. Pokies room. Plenty of clean modern toilet facilities around the venue.
We dined in the main dining over looking the bowling greens and ate off the Lunch menu. Prices were very good and food high quality tasty and plentiful. Great value for money. Recommend

The new year eve Abba night was sensational. Loved it 😊

Firstly lost our booking twice, then when we finally got in, the entrees were stuffed up, someone with allergy given food that they couldn't eat, totally wrong entrees bought out . Then the main meals was a complete disaster when one of the guests didn't even get her meal bought out. I would not recommend this venue for a meal.

Really big servings and nice food, the child play area also has a tv with footage so you can keeo an eye on you child theres also heaps of seats and a couple of little $1 claw machine games to keep kids busy! Was good for a Friday night the food didn't take long at all!

Good atmosphere but I paid for food from savings account and was charged the credit card surcharge. Not sure why they would do this.

New renovations are excellent. Bar meals reasonably priced and old school. Bangers and mash, mixed grill, parm. All are fantastic. Well done

We had a fun night at trivia at the leopold sports club.
A fun night without too much noise and fuss.
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Trivia was great, the meals and drinks were great and the prices were reasonable.
I would highly recommend trying the chicken parmigiana and the grilled barramundi.
We will return and I would recommend to others.

It's nice how once you become a member, they start offering you free drinks and the ability to participate in raffles. You also save money when you buy a meal. Nonetheless, to my disappointment, they weren't offering chamomile tea when I visited three days ago.

Calamari was so oily and tried to tell me because it was done in a wok because it's gf That is why it's so oily. well I have been here plenty of times and never had such a terrible dish. Heat your wok I do not want a plate full of oil.

Having travelled over from WA we were so impressed that we had lunch one day and returned the following evening . Wanted to watch the Dockers football match which they promised to put on for us.
True to their word they changed the Fox Ch. to accommodate us. (,not sure they would have done that if Geelong were playing 🤣 ) can highly reccomend this establishment employing such friendly staff who obviously enjoyed their workplace. Thanks to the manageress for doing such a great job, even though she gave me a friendly thumbs down when I mentioned. I.was A Dockers member 🤣??"️??"️??'???'?

Extremely disappointed with our function. We chose Sporties from previous experiences always happy with service and food. However our function was completely the opposite. Booking the function room back in February and to be told a week out that we were doubled booked so we ended up in lounge area instead. I paid per person and to have only 4 platters come out I was quite surprised at the lack of food. When I questioned the amount of food they claimed functions weren't run per head anymore but per platter, I spoke with manger week before to finalize menu and it was clearly stated on my run sheet it was per head. Went in on Monday to ask what went wrong but no answer was given just the same conversation about functions not being run per head and no apology. So I emailed and finally was able to talk to manger four days later and he claims our food was sent out to wrong function!! I was given an apology and a bit of a refund. Our night was full of stress not enjoyable. Definitely won't be having an more functions at Sporties. It's a shame as I am a Leopold local.

Food was great ,friendly service, reasonably priced

The Leopold Sportsman Club is exactly what you would expect. If you are not a member you have to sign in. As with many clubs these days it simply a matter of inserting your driver's license into a slot and they spit our a printed out with your name and life history. Well perhaps not your life history but I'm pretty sure they have enough information to do what they have to do should the need arise.

Again the rest of the process is as you would expect, menu, go to the counter to order, staff are friendly and the food is pretty reasonable as well as the prices. They are not as cheap as club meals used to be but what is these days.

If you're interested you can watch one of the many TVs circumnavigating the dining room or watch the game of bowls outside.

The service is quick-ish and they will even accommodate individual requests like one meal two plates kind of thing.

There is plenty of parking so overall having a meal at the Leopold Sportsmans' (can't believe someone hasn't complained) Club is an efficient, easy and enjoyable way to have lunch (or dinner I guess)

Oh yes and if you are that way inclined you can also go and donate some money at the pokies in the adjoining room.

Overall however a pleasant experience.

very poor service via kitchen and wait staff, meals ordered on the same ticket came out over 30 minutes later meaning some of us waited almost an hour for our meals while everyone else had long been finished. Staff wanted to argue that we were wrong, no apologies just lame excuses and one wait person even laughed like it was hilarious. Food was mediocre considering it is expensive despite this being a pokies venue. Children's playroom is filthy, carpet stinks and equipment is poorly maintained with grime and peeling paint. Would not recommend.

Only one post relating to Sport. "Not a good place for bowls". Sports club is a misnomer, as most Sports Clubs
encourage Sport and allow unlimited Sport covered by membership fees only. This one encourages gambling and drinking and would close the squash courts in favour of making more profit.

Came back after an awful experience last time. Unfortunately they met expectations. Kids meal dished up before the entree. Main meals dished up before the entree. Had to ask where the garlic bread was. It's still coming. Really??? Asked to have it refunded as we weren't interested in garlic bread for dessert. At least they did that this time.

A huge THANK YOU to Leopold Sportsman Club for the excellent job they did to help us celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. From the moment we made the booking with their Event Manager Rikki to the day we had the celebration, nothing was too much for them. Rikki was lovely, very friendly, helpful and very professional as well the whole time. Then the day/night of the celebration all the staff were on duty were fantastic. They worked extremely hard for us. Everything we asked was provided. The food was magnificent and delicious. all our guests raved about how lovely the food were. Thank you so very much for making our daughter's birthday a very memorable occasion. We were extremely happy. Fantastic venue and highly recommended. 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Good place for group functions. Small playground for kids but this could do with a good clean.. Smells like some little ones have peed here and there on the equipment.. but then most of these plastic climbing type playgrounds in venues are the same and tend to lack a proper good deep clean. Roast of the day on my visit was pork. Generous serving although the vegies were a tad undercooked and a bit crunchy for my liking. Some members of our group chose their meals from the "small serving" menu. Their "small serve" meals though came as very generous portions and were as big as main large meals at other places so very good value for money. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Third time disappointed in the meals at this place, 3 chances to many.
My daughters meal was the first of a big table to order & it came out very late & last. Her burger was raw in the middle in which I asked them to just put the patty back on the grill (as a chef myself I didn't want to be too much of a bother) they sent out a new patty in her burger & before she took a bite I checked it & once again it was raw so I took the plate back & told them not to worry about it & to keep it. In all fairness the service was amazing though ??'?🏽

When we first moved to Leopold this place was amazing. The food was awesome, price point excellent and service was extremely quick. Now, food is average, menu is OK but could have more gluten free/vegan options and service is OK. Still a customer but not first option.

Had takeaway tonight. I had the braised lamb which was to die for and hubby had the snitzel which he really enjoyed. Well done sporties. Doing takeaway is great

A better than average bistro.there is a lawn bowls and squash courts. You can visit or take out membership. Fox Sport, Keno and pokies. A well stocked bar. Helpful and friendly staff.

Brilliant local watering hole! Has all the right elements to make you feel like you're in your element no matter who you are or what that is.

Visited club for "Mother's Day" lunch and enjoyed a tasty 3 course meal. Each course was large and certainly fullfilling as well as very tasty food. They also provided a good selection of select food choices at a reasonable price.

Great night out at the Abba tribute function. Atmosphere was lively with lots of dancing. Meals were excellent...and all for $49 a head! Highly recommend.

Based on my meal choice Thai Beef Salad which I've had many times elsewhere and would normally eat time & time again.... I took one mouthful and this was just not nice at all. First of all I shouldn't have assumed the beef would be warm, it was stone cold and not only that the beef was under cooked (I could see red meat). Not pleasant at all! The staff were not very accommodating and would not replace the meal with another choice....I had to purchase another meal. Years ago I worked in retail and whether I agreed with the customer or not "the customer was always right" apparently not any more!!!
