First time here. Ordered the chicken parmi dinner special.
Very good. Big portion, taste excellent. Chips and salad were good too. Mushroom sauce didn't cost anything extra which was surprisingly nice. And they also have a condiments bar that has a chicken salt shaker. I really like the option of free sauce and chicken salt. Like It would literally cost nothing but the small things like that will have me coming back.

W used to use an automatic machine to buy cigarettes here, but he took my money and didn't get cigarettes! I didn't get a refund, just told me to contact the cigarette company myself, and I haven't got a refund so far! Yesterday, I used the ATM to withdraw money again. As a result, the money was deducted from my account because of the machine failure, but no money was given to me! I tried the second machine and the second bank card again, and the money was deducted again, but there was no money to come out! If there is something wrong with your machine, you should be obliged to tell the customer! Instead of this happening many times! Finally, I lost $2005.8 for no reason. I got the help of a clerk and told me to call the number on the machine, but I haven't got a refund yet! But when there is something wrong with your machine, you should first repair and inform the guests immediately! Instead of happening to me and other guests many times! At that time, I couldn't withdraw any more money because my withdrawal was limited on that day! I proposed to use POS machine to withdraw money, but it was rejected, which is ok in other club. When zaiatm ATM breaks down! But this family can't. I didn't get any help when my bank card was deducted but I didn't get cash! Just wait ~

Had a great Pork Belly meal, it was a large serving and delicious. Staff are always friendly, it's a great place if you want to talk and eat as it is a quieter pub

Haven't been here for ages and decided to give it another shot. Ordered the Barramundi and the chicken parmigiana as well as a side of sweet potato fries. To be brutally honest, the fries were probably the pick and that's saying something as you can't really stuff them up. The Barramundi was dry and overcooked and the parmigiana had little or no ham and sauce. Generally speaking, it's your average pub bistro food, nothing more, nothing less. I'll try again in a couple of years, maybe..

This place has gone COMPLETELY. Down hill. The food is absolutely disgusting and to be quite honest- inedible. The staff have zero idea about customer service and do not want to hear about the poor, cold, quality of food. They just give a fake little smirk and "sorry". I would not recommend eating here at all.

Quiet spot on a Tuesday. Schnitty was great and mash was good. Veg was just green beans and carrots. Dinner special came with a pub drink which the bartender didn't bother telling us about or giving us.

Well it's to hard to give much review about service, because the only contact it's when you buy the food. Then, they take the plates and they don't say anything. The food was good, I went for lunch and it ts reasonable price and enough food, and also the place is very nice.

Ahhhh the lakes my local pub, to be honest the lakes is a nice place to end the night, the lakes has a calm atmosphere but can get busy at the best of nights..
the food on the other went downhill after the head chef of many years had left, now the food is poor in quality AND quantity. Wouldn't recommend for a pub feed anytime soon.

Its a pub, a good one at that, if you are intoxicated or obnoxious as im pretty sure most patrons have from time to time, you have to be reasonable, be respectful and you will receive respect.
Listen to the staff and security and you will find it is a great local to have a feed and a slap ?

This hotel was not at all what I expected when I walked in. Very modern and large bistro bar with an impressive menu. Front bar is a sports lovers dream with one of the largest TV screens I've seen in a venue of this size. Staff were super friendly too.

First time visiting Lakes Hotel and did not disappoint.
The sriracha mayo on my chicken burger was spot on.
I tried my friends ribs with the salsa OMG delicious.
Special mention to the gentlemen who served us. Thankyou, we will be back.

Never ever went to a gambling bar that treated me with such disrespect and with such hidden agendas, I am a 38 year old grown lady and to be told by some 20 something year old bartender to wait 10 mins to get my next drink, in context when you need a drink the bartender and manager is no where to be found for 15 mins at least which was weird, maybe this young lady is use to men so when I stepped in she was threatened, such a strange strange place I have ever endured in my life, I have a funny suspicion the manager and bartender have a thing going on behind closed doors

Easy parking at rear ,,and ample parking spots, service was great by the laddies at the Bar.
My burger was fine ,just felt there should have been more chipss on the plate, very fair prices also, not over priced, like some other places around the Area.

Really like this place. Fantastic food and reasonably priced beers. Always plenty of staff owing to the great service.

I originally wrote the below review before they changed hands or kitchen changed. Went there tonight and the whole menu has changed. We had 6 meals in our group and they were awful. The Angus burger is a highly processed patty and nothing Angus about it, the beer battered fish is terrible, the chicken was dry and the list goes on. I actually won't eat her again now, it was hit and miss before but now it's just awful.

Local hotel. Recently renovated. A large inside courtyard and dining area. Pub Food is a hit and a miss. Some things are excellent, others are bland. Try it. I visit often.

We have been coming here for 10 years consistently and recently every Tuesday for trivia. Tuesday 14/06 was the first day we've been there since the hotel took over the kitchen and it was a horrible experience. Not only did they forget one meal but when they fixed it the chicken was dry and they gave pepper gravy instead of regular gravy.

Every single table around us sent food back and the trivia lady even said to us that every one complained of how bad the food was. So many now better pubs in the area, go elsewhere.

Used to be good but now food service is super slow. Waited over an hour to get the food. Ordered medium steak but got well done. The indoor seating area is non-smoking but its full of smoke. Got cigarette smell all over the body after we left.

Good pub grub. You pay average prices between $25-$35 range for a meal with a good portion size. We had the surf and turf, T-bone steak and mushroom truffle arancini which were all cooked perfectly. Comparing to other local watering holes this one is definitely at the top of the list and it's not overly busy.
The customer service could use working on as the staffer was playing on her phone and we had to ask her to serve us, but the kitchen here is good so its worth a repeat visit. The facilities are clean and reasonably well kept.

It is a great little public house in OZ tradition very inviting

If you are looking for a relaxed family environment, affordable food and want to watch your favourite sport, this is the place to go. The Lakes has a nice family ambience. It's COVID safe and the service is friendly.

Yeah nah burgers are only $16 any other time. Got me in the door though. Going to splurge the $1 I just saved.

My local local so absolutely no complaints whatsoever as there is good grub and drinks always Staff are great and friendly and helpful It has a great gambling place and plenty of parking to your disposal.. Ps check out their specials as they always good and worth the money

Food was ok.. the lady forgot to place us on reserve for Sunday so I argued a bit. One thing is they should do something about dining on really hot days. I know it's hard and much to ask but my family and I had a bad day for lunch as we were sweltering with heat. Could not feel the aircon at all. I asked if they could turn it up more they said it's the best they could do.

Staff are awesome, the steak mouthwatering and yummy... Over all a nice and loving atmosphere.

Came here for a Trivia night and got a lovely cold cider and delicious chocolate cake with ice-cream and walnuts! Staff were very friendly and helpful!Trivia night was great fun! Great Tuesday evening activity!
