We dined here twice on this visit to the area. The first time we sampled the Australian menu and the second time we ate from the Chinese menu. Both cuisines were fabulous and the serving sizes are very generous. Special mention for the AMAZING desserts on offer.

Terrible meal, wouldn't recommend. Chips soggy and unsalted, beer didn't taste right and the chicken Parma wasn't cooked, when I returned the Parma to the kitchen the chef proceeded to argue with me and tell me it was cooked. The customer is always right.

Had a lovely meal at the RSL bistro. Large servings and nice and tasty. We had the steak and the fisherman's basket both where lovely and filling. Staff where nice and friendly and the service is quite fast .

I gave 2 stars because we stayed for 4 days and the room was only serviced once paying for a service that you don't get very disappointing

Staying for the weekend. Depending on where u parked you required really good skills to get out due to people not parking correctly. The rooms are clean with the basics u would expect, kettle, toaster appropriate crockery, towels complimentary shampoo, conditioner & soap

We went to the RSL tonight (Easter Monday) and it did not disappoint.
Food came out by the time we'd ordered or drinks! Didn't even finish to the drinks by the time we'd finished our food.
Food was lovely and filling.

Mediocre at best. A shabby ambiance with mismatching tables and scratched up weathered utensils. The satay chicken was bland and I felt like they used pre-made sauce from the grocery store. The Mongolian beef was okay, the sizzling plate saved it and the Singapore noodles and fried rice looked pale and sad, lacking flavour. Ultimately I would not come back unless I was desperate for a meal

I stay there 4 days ago and i had a excellent time there . The room and bed excellent and shower too. The staff at the rsl club and the restaurant where great . The Chinese food was fanatic. Now i have a new place to go too.

The food here at the RSL is incredible! OMG I stuffed my face and enjoyed every bit of it. The service and staff also wonderful. The menu is Chinese and Australian and oh boy is the food good!!

I would probably only recommend the asian menu, as what we ordered from the western menu was just not that great. Never would i have expected literal pieces of toast as an entree. All the asian food was delicious ??'?

Can't go wrong with the Chinese menu. The food is always delicious and the service is fast. They also have a kids play room which is fantastic to keep the little ones entertained and desserts are amazing!

I would rate the Lakes Entrance RSL 3.5 stars if it was an option. This is the second time our car club has stayed here. Accomodation and service were extremely good. We were given access to the BBQ and common area which is a great facility to host 20 plus car club members. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Not modern but I note they have renovated. We had a bistro breakfast in the morning which was ok. Assistance from the front desk was excellent. Thos use to be Glenara. It had murals on the ceiling and had a great deal of character. Unfortunately this has been painted over and the front room is a pokies centre if yhat's your thing. See you next time!!

Lakes entrance RSL was absolutely fantastic! Great fast friendly service, wonderful staff, fresh affordable tasty food. I was gobsmacked at how quickly the food was served to me after I ordered it. I literally just took a tiny sip from my drink and the food I ordered was served to me. I have never had such prompt, friendly service in my life and it's how every good establishment should model itself after. Absolutely outstanding! 10 stars!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Overall, we had a great experience. staff was helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect for a weekend.

Excellent Chinese food, flake was fresh and delicious, Desserts are flawless. Only downside is the chips, they are pretty average.

Group of 14 arrived unannounced and ordered assortment of Chinese and pub meals. Service and quality of meals was excellent. Group were very happy. Highly recommended.

The beef and black bean was awesome like a Chinese meal used to be like. Definitely worth going there if you go to Lakes Entrance.

Great little place to grab a beer while your misses is entertaining herself. So peaceful for a bit while she is entertained lol. She lost $50 l gained an hours peace. 🤟

Heard that Chinese food at the bistro was fantastic, large servings at a reasonable price. True except for the meat dishes, black bean and curry, were tough as old boots. My friends left half of their plate. Lemon chicken that I ordered was very tender

For many, many years the foyer of the Lakes Entrance RSL had all its walls and ceiling painted in a fantastic detailed mural of Australian iconography. I have loved this mural since I was a child and always discovered something new within it upon every visit. The RSL until quite recently used to have postcards on offer in the foyer depicting this outstanding piece of art in all its kitsch glory. The mural really was a showstopper and unique to Lakes Entrance. Can you imagine my horror upon visiting recently to discover all the walls and ceiling have been painted a ghastly beige. The beautiful mural is gone forever. How this could even be considered let alone allowed is an absolute outrage. The myopic vision of some fool and/or committee has erased a special piece of Australiana history without any community consultation. It was the best thing about the place! To paint over it is a disgrace and makes no sense.

The bistro has always been a favorite with us. Nice atmosphere with comfortable seating. The menu is extensive with both Chinese and Australian cuisine. The service is exceptional which compliments the bistro overall. The staff are friendly and helpful in regard to assistance withmeal choices. Always a pleasurable experience particularly if you are hosting friends.

Very nice clean rooms, good service, variety of enjoyable meals available and lots to see and do, totally up to you. Lakes Entrance is just a delightful place to visit. Will be back!!
