Didn't stay here but had lunch there today.I know it's low season. No excuse for terrible food $20 for a burger and steak sandwich. Steak was raw and cold. Surely on a hamburger you could spare a bit more salad. The chips were cold. lemon lime and bitters was the worst we've had. What a rip off. So disappointed in the whole experience

Stunning location looking across the lake with access for swimming. Very friendly staff & a cooked breakfast is included. Rooms are renovated & comfortable but VERY noisy - from neighbours, to bar attendees & pool players, to the builders currently on site constructing a new block of rooms (January '24). Bring ear plugs, patience & a sense of humour.

The room was reasonable. The mattress and over sized pillows were ok but did not help with sleep. The air conditioner did work initially but we did feel that it wasn't quite work late in the night. So all in all broken sleep. It wasn't helped by the very late night pub music and guests... it is great if you want to drink at the pub and hit the bed at the motel. If you are planning other activities in the morning .. you will have trouble getting a sound sleep.

Breakfast was really good within the room price. The tech that allows access to the room is automated and works really well. Location is really good... car parking is easy.

All in all 3/5

(Just reviewing the bar/restaurant, not accommodation)

Meh.
There's a reason why everyone else is eating across the road at the Banjo Paterson hotel..
The atmosphere at this place is absent, the food is expensive for what it is & it has the widest selection of extremely average beers I've ever seen.

One great thing is the enormous selection of sauces for the kids to choose from, and the complete absence of other punters means that there isn't much of a line up.

Nice view though

Great views, friendly bar staff and cold beers. Bistro not so great. Waited 1.5 hours for a couple of kids meals and schnitzels. Not bad food, but hot salad with a frozen pressed schnity not really worth the wait.

Perfect place to stay if you want to be in the centre of Jindabyne, have comfy beds, and have heating when it's cold! Right next to the pub which has great food, multiple pool tables, and music on some nights. My favourite part was waking up to the beautiful lake in the mornings. No view like that anywhere else I've stayed in jindy!!! Thanks for a great stay :)

Stayed for 3 nights. It was cheapest accomodation i found. Nice clean room, comfortable bed, beautiful view of the lake. The only issue (for a snowy town ) no drying room.
Pub food also great!
Would stay again .

Worst experience at a pub/bistro. Would not recommend

Received not one but two meals with undercooked chicken. Chef and manager explained it off as being "cooked to the standard". It was pink and had a glossy and soft texture and wouldn't tear apart. Undercooked. They did provide a minor compensation but definitely not enough. Poor customer service from the chef and manager who did not want to acknowledge the fact they provided 2 bad meals.

Whole experience left me in a bad mood and with a messed up stomach.

We enjoyed our stay at Jindabyne Hotel, and the room was very clean and tidy. The location is very good, you have to go for morning and evening walks beside the lake Jindabyne, all the restaurants are at a walking distance, make sure you choose the free breakfast option if it's available, totally worth it, warm and fresh breakfast, satff was very friendly.

Stayed here a few times for work, found it to be great . Large size rooms with big comfy beds with a great view over the lake. Cool little bar with great bar meals and excellent stuff. But the best part about this place has always been the buffet breakfast, huge selection of everything you want and more.

Great location, really good customer service, comfortable bed, very good complimentary breakfast.
A suggested improvement to the bathroom is to install an extractor fan.
Overall...a great place to stay.

Dropped into "Pub" for Lunch . Very accommodating for our order. Little bit different from the "norm". Cleo was very helpful with advice on order and Jayden ( Chef) did a great job .. PERFECT --

Great pub with a stunning outlook. Good selection of meals. Good selection of beers on tap. Lots of parking but probably fills quickly in the winter months.

Stayed here last year and was just as happy with my stay then as I am now.
Staff are very friendly, and when we had an issue with our key not working they came and sorted it out very fast. Room was clean, bed was comfy, air condition worked brilliantly.
We ate dinner at the attached pub and it was lovely. Large serving size and delicious.
Great view from the pub and the room of the lake. Absolutely recommend staying here if you're in the area.

Unfortunately the abysmal attitude of the 'cook' overshadowed the wonderful bar staff and beautiful view/venue.
A small request to have the side of veggies replaced was greeted by a rude and arrogant comment against someone who has a terrible intolerance to butter. The menu DID NOT state the side of vegetables would be drowned in butter, or have any butter at all, so what was a genuine and politely executed request to have them replaced with the item that was actually stated on the menu 'seasonal vegetables' was apparently an unreasonable request from a paying customer.
When a bar staff member clarified with the cook that the menu in fact did not specify butter, he had the hide to insult her as well.
Very disappointing.

As accommodation - room was clean and had a pleasant view of Lake Jindabyne. But I would not stay there again because the room was not quiet. On the first night, we could hear the TV in the unit next door. On the second night, a group of bikies booked in and were allocated rooms on either side of ours. The noise from 11 pm to 1 am was really bad - shouting, breaking bottles, revving engines. The hotel's 'after hours duty manager' phone number did not pick up. There were a number of empty rooms - the hotel could have put the bikies all together in a wing away from other guests, but did not do so.

Location is great. Easy 30 min drive to Perisher. Rooms are ok but strange set up. Pillows were uncomfortable. No housekeeping. Wouldn't recommend if you are travelling with kids. Buffet breakfast was very basic but staff were helpful.

Good location to explore the surrounding snow fields. it's an expensive town to stay no matter what, but we felt slightly disappointed with the room after paying nearly $600 a night for weeknights. awkward bathroom / toilet setup. free buffet breakfast was a nice feature though.

Came here for dinner after reading the reviews here. We had the rump steak $29 and chicken schnitzel $24. Unfortunately we found the meat lacked flavour. The rump was quite veiny not a good quality cut. The portions were good. They forgot to give us the gravy. The place is huge as the bar is connected to the bistro. Seemed quite popular with young locals. Probably won't be back as there are better food options nearby.

Brilliant. Hotel rooms have been refurbished and everything is beautiful. Shower is huge as are the rooms. The management has obviously invested a lot of money on refurbishing the rooms and it definitely shows. They've done a fantastic job. Anyone wanting great accomodation for their friends/family cannot go wrong here. Food is great also. We'll definitely stay here from now on. We came down as a last minute present for our daughter's birthday. No complaints at all.

Went here for food, got it after about 30 minutes and the meals heat was everywhere. Personally of the crispy pork belly, it came with mashed potatoes on the bottom.

The potato was stone cold and the pork was barely warm, took it back and that told me that they would 'remake it' got it back and it was only microwaved. The whole plate was very hot

I wouldn't recommend this place, they are only capitalising off the con-current tourists to stay open

Budget accommodation with close proximity to Jindabyne shopping and restaurants. Breakfast included in rating and good views across the lake. Can be a bit noisy between 19:00 till 23:00 but does settle down when beer garden type area closes.

Fabulous place to stay. Nice people. Brekky included. Nice facilities. Good food at bistro. Improvements could be the breakfast table surfaces, although clean, feel sticky. Scrambled eggs could alternate with other egg types otherwise all great.

The good:

- Family room was very comfortable for a family of 4 with kids aged 12 and 14.
- Best location in town.
- Couple of minutes walk to restaurants and shopping centre.
- Great lake front position.
- Breakfast.

The bad:

- Room was superficially clean but when you looked closer, it could have done with a proper wash-down! A damp wipe run across surfaces and the bathroom floor came up black.
- Food in the pub is expensive.

Overall, good value for money and we would recommend it.
