Decent pub with generous portions, prices were fair. The biggest issue is just getting inside. Nothing signed very well. Met up here with family and if you don't know where to go, you can easily lap the building without finding the correct entrance out of the 3 or 4 of them.

Came across this venue whilst staying at accommodation nearby....what a find! Maddie's is lovely with a good selection of food on the menu & several more great options on the specials board. Definitely value for money and bonus points to the wait staff. Also have to say the beer garden section is very well set up a d was certainly extremely busy. Give it a try....idoubt you'll be disappointed

Went to Maddie's for a dinner and the Beer Garden for a pre-dinner drink. The beer garden is lovely and well laid out, and the outside bar easy to access and with a great variety of drinks.
The meals at Maddie's were delicious and really generous portions. Just one suggestion - more sauce with your schnitzels please. Even an extra sauce didn't quite cover the whole schnitty, which was very yummy!

We were randomly in the area and needed food! So my partner and I decided to halve a dish each, we got the carbonara and the fried chicken burger to share, both were outstanding! Usually we will have a little pick and leave majority of both meals un eaten, both meals this time got completely finished with little to no scraps! The chicken burger was a perfect balance between chicken, salad and bun ratio. The carbonara was made perfectly, I'm not a huge fan of onions and this dish did have big pieces of onion, but they were cooked to perfection and had a lovely sweet taste that compliments the dish! Will definitely be back, and will recommend to friends! Very reasonable price in comparison to the dishes we received ??

I'm originally from Sydney and have found it hard finding where a good pub in Canberra is. The Kingo definitely met my expectations and I'd dare say is the best pub in Canberra. The food is spot on and there is so much to choose from! I have never been disappointed with the food and drinks here.
