The lemon calamari tasted as good as it looked. A full plate of calamari, a good portion of chips plus tub of tarte. It was, without doubt, the best calamari that I have ever had.

I dined here with a group of 25, a couple of weeks ago on a Thursday night, and from the first few minutes we were made to feel unwelcome by the staff. As a group that dines out once every week, we like to share the love where we are welcomed. First, we were asked to move on from the bar tables near the bar where we were buying drinks before our event. Then, I personally couldn't find a menu to order, so stood by an empty table to read one before ordering. I was not so pleasantly asked to leave, as someone would be sitting there soon. I took a step back to continue reading, and the same staff member circled back to tell me to just take the menu and go. The place was not very busy, but we weren't allowed to move inside so that walk ins could sit. Our booking was for 8pm, and I applaude the kitchen staff for getting so many meals out in a very timely manner. Unfortunately, as our meals were still being delivered at about 8.16, we were told that the we'd have to vacate the area at 9pm. Five minutes later an intercom announced that out area would be closing at 8.45pm. Overall, we felt unwelcome at every turn. This seems to be a floor staff issue. Our meals were lovely and, as I said, they came out in good time and we all ate together thanks to the kitchen staff.

We had a huge party of 27 meet here for a luncheon. We all felt jammed into the space with no room at all to move. The three tables behind us all had reserved on them. However, we just could not be left this way. After seeing our dilemma, the staff did arrange for us to take one of the 6 place reserved tables.
All our food arrived at quite a good pace for this size party of people.
I selected the Asian herb salad. While all the ingredients were fresh, the taste was very bland, and the rice noodles well over cooked falling apart into small pices a dpoon woukd be needed to get them to my mouth. I picked Asian inspired cuisine because of the wonderful intense flavours that lacked in my bowl.. Where was the dressing? I did get the grilled prawns as an extra. They were flavourful, and I left hungry, sadly.
The toilets are another area I struggled with. We used the amenities closest to the exit doors. Perhaps there was another one better suited to the disabled persons. The only Ambulant toilet was very busy with no room to pass anyone coming out of the regular ones. I felt uncomfortable.

We would like to say a massive thanks to all of the staff at Kedron Wavell for our daughter Allie and Sams wedding last Friday night. The reception room was decorated beautifully and the food was yummy, your biggest asset is your friendly and caring staff we couldn't have wished for a better venue

Being members for nearly 30 years after a few years of absence partly due to COVID we are finding the new KWSC to be a huge improvement over it's former self and we used to like it even then. The new layout is far more appealing with a easy sense of flow from eateries to other venues. The food available is excellent in quality and value.

Today 5 of us had lunch at the "kitchen", 2 of us had the grilled fish, chips and salad, the fish was dry and had no flavour, the chips were burnt and there were hardly any of them, the salad with 1 slither of tomato, one bit of onion and a few leaves in a small bowl. A shocking meal. Meals were not cheap. Please revamp your menu to something more interesting and with flavour.

Don't go if they are busy. Usually pretty good. The steak is usually tender. But last time on a Saturday lunchtime the steak was so tough. Managed to choke down the first bite. Took the rest home to the dog. The vegetables were nice but only just warm.

We enjoyed our first visit to the Club on Friday. I had read the reviews for The Kitchen prior to booking dinner. We ordered the Roast of the Day, we paid extra as it was lamb which was stated on the Menu. The wait staff and speed and efficiency were all great. Then the food arrived, the portion sizes would not satisfy a child. 2 slices carrot, 2 green beans, 1 small cauliflower floret. No Pumpkin on my plate, 2 tiny potatoes 2 pieces squash 1.5 slices of lamb. Plenty of gravy. But not enough food. We left hungry. The non member price was $26 for this. Do not recommend.

My wife and I are members and frequently have our lunch at Kedron on a Saturday, we have always been happy with the meals until yesterday.
My wife's sweet and sour fish was nothing more than pieces of the fish normally served as fish and chips with some sauce poured over them.
My Souvlaki was very dry, over cooked ,and incredibly salty.
As we mentioned to the gentleman who enquired what we thought of the new menu, we only ate it because we were very hungry!

The food was excellent. Staff were pleasant, but seemed under pressure. I have not been there for a couple of years .I don't like the new layout. It doesn't have the atmosphere it used to have.

Great steak sandwich combo for lunch. Couldn't eat it all with the buffalo wings. Nice and hot wings

Had a great night in the function area at a Toastmasters dinner where my friend Denise as she became the New Govenor for Toastmasters. Food was terrific as was the company.

Lovely atmosphere and staff very nice and helpful. Meals very tasty and delivered quite quickly. All round most enjoyable. Don't know about pokies as don't play them because in my experience they just help the club's make more money.

My partner and I had a very pleasant dinner here. It was a busy night for them, but we had our meals delivered quickly, and we both greatly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly. Although there was a little confusion about a dessert we ordered, it was sorted and apology given. On the whole, we had a great night.

My sister and I had dinner for my birthday last night. Very disappointed, our chips were cold so we're the peoples next to us. We had Buttermilk Chicken, mine was just thrown on a small amount of chips probably to heat up the chips. The chicken has shrunk since the last time we had it, it was overcooked, dry and slightly burnt. I make this myself and you can certainly notice if it's been marinated in buttermilk.
Sorry to see Red Delta go, had a couple of nice meals from them.
What a great band last night 24/2/ we all loved them, please bring them back soon.

Whilst having a late lunch with a friend yesterday at Kedron Wavell Kitchen Café, we were astonished to be met with copious flies buzzing and flying around us during the entirety of our meal, and thereafter. We were seated in the inside area closest to the bar. Our lunch experience was proving very uncomfortable and most annoying, so we asked the waiter if there was anything that could be done to eliminate these flies. The courteous waiter had watched us swatting away flies as we tried to eat our meal. He brought over his manager who brazenly reported that the flies were coming in from the unscreened, open area, when the automated sliding doors opened each time members came and went. We suggested that the open area should be screened to eliminate the flies, but she briskly retaliated, somewhat staunchly, that it would be too expensive for the club to affix fly screens. "Everything costs money". Yes, everything costs money but thankfully, lodging a complaint due to poor service is still free. We then suggested using other alternatives eg a fly coil etc, but again she declined any suggestion to eliminate the flies. So, we were left to endure the status quo, and given no other choice but to finish our meal whilst swatting flies from our wine glass, our food, the cutlery tin, containing knives, forks, spoons, and unused napkins, not to mention the flies buzzing around our heads.
Evidently, it was clear to us that the impudent Manager is keen to keep her job, albeit, fails in performing it correctly. Her lack of suggesting a possible solution or alternative to this unhygienic situation, was most unimpressive from our end. Has it ever occurred to KW Managers that flies are highly attracted to a variety of food products and food odours? Flies end up in food, causing contamination. They will still enter the premises, drawn by the smell of the food, however improved quality hygiene practices will deny flies a reason to linger. Perhaps, using a food safe, low dose aerosol spray will mean flies are forced to leave the area?
Yesterday we experienced a shameless demonstration of persistent, bald-faced ignorance whilst trying to resolve a simple matter. KW's lack of principles is contrary to food regulations and gave the impression of poor hygiene.

The lady who greeted us when we arrived at reception think her name was Debbie but not sure was amazing. Excellent customer service. Showed us where we could eat. Made sure we had a table to sit at and even got us menus. Such a lovely lady and lovely staff. Will certainly be back next time in Brisbane

Lunched with 3 friends. Friend ordered curried sausages - what sausages? Practically none. Seafood basket okay but rather oily. Carrot cake must have been 3 months old, inedible. Coffee was good though.

Food was ok, well priced.
The live band was fantastic but a touch too loud especially if you are taking little ones.
Drinks were great and the staff we very friendly

The place has a good variety of food. Only disappointment was when we sat down to eat and the waiter who served our food was wearing his mask under his chin and when I looked up as he was talking to me directly over the top of me, his nose was actually running out and he kept sniffing it back up as he walked away. The next day I was sick and had tested positive for covid.

Very impressive venue. Attended a training session in a room upstairs and ordered lunch. Lovely fisherman's basket that was beautifully cooked with all the expected trimmings. Will definitely be back when I am in Brisbane.

Excellent venue for live music, with friendly staff and a cool venue upstairs, which hosted three cool bands last night by Carousel Concerts. SOULTOWN was absolutely amazing! I can highly recommend experiencing this band! They often play at the Brisbane Jazz Club! Both venues have great deals for members, which included food and drinks.

The restaurants there have good food. Overpriced for an rsl even with member discounts but the ambience is great with live music and modern designs and comfy chairs to chill and relax. And a wide variety of slots and betting options for those inclined.

Our visit started the night before when Jill was very straight forward in organising our lunch. On arrival and announcing our booking, Jill again, made our lunch feel special and intimate, even though there were plenty of people around.

The food was large portions, reasonable prices and coordinated to all eat at once.

All of the staff were accommodating and friendly.

We are all very happy to return.

I've just moved back into the area and noticed the new Bravo Brewery. Plenty of beers on tap and they will have 4 of their own in-house brews on tap as of this Friday.Red Delta (new Asian inspired restaurant) looks and smell delicious...I haven't eaten there yet but the aromas filtering from the kitchen....yum yum.

Thank you Restaurant Manager Leslie and your team for your professionalism and remarkable service! Last Saturday I had my 21st at one of your function rooms and I must say the venue was fantastic. Your staff were efficient and very professional. Also the food was delicious and very beautiful! I recommend your restaurant to anyone having a special occasion, to all my family and friends because of the satisfactory outcome I had last week. Good food... service was something to be desired..God help you if you wanted to enjoy the 'live' music, why play music if you can't dance?? Mind you the kids were locked in the corner barricaded by tables and chairs dancing

Ordered Peppered Fillet of Beef. When dining out I always have Eye Fillet and was dubious about what to expect . I have to say this was 10 out of 10. the meat so so tender and cooked to my request. Broccoli was also delicious (greens were just one veg). The potatoes a let down, need a little something else, just tasted like boiled spud. Bearnaise Sauce awesome! Will be back, good value.

Booked a table for 4 at The Kitchen for lunch on a Satuday.The meals were tasty and the portion sizes were better than expected.Only two things could be improved from this experience - some dressing on the calamari salad would be good and add the deserts and drinks to the menu with prices.By the way, the staff are great people who are also great at their jobs. Please look after them.

Awesome staff spent a few hours here and had some dinner in the sports bar where they had some entertainment. Lovely relaxing atmosphere.

Nice meals - people not far enough apart

Horrific. Angle grinding upon entry should have been enough of a hint that this venue wasn't going to bode well. Minimal assistance with sign in process. Just wanted take away coffees. Nowhere to wait for said coffees. Miserable patrons with zero empathy for a crying baby - Lucky they've never been a baby . Will not be returning. Staff were civil enough, but also lacking basic customer service skills - maybe you have to pop out your dentures to get a smile from them?

Love the place, from amazing service to cheerful staff. Good value for money lunchs and dinners, excellent membership deals and competitions.
