The Junction Inn Hotel is a busy, vibrant venue in which to enjoy some excellent food and river views. Kudos to the friendly, helpful staff. An enjoyable Thursday lunch.

Definitely a great place to eat with family and friends. The food is delicious ? and we got crackling with our pork roast meal. Very happy! Your roast is not on your list below my daughter and partner had the ribs and they were cook so well delicious.

Netty. Was. Here. All Stonegrill lovers will have heard about this place. For decades the Junction Inn Hotel has been serving the classical dish along side its standard menu. All day Wednesday you'll enjoy the stonegrill for $28. Brilliant!

The day I came in to treat myself; as recommended by bar staff, was the grilled chicken stack. They weren't wrong, the dish was impressive, in size and taste! Marinated chicken, with bacon & avo smothered in a hollandaise sauce. I was super surprised by the zesty honey mustard salad dressing which clearly tastes house made!

Taps here you can get the usuals but they also have a great selection of craft beers, wine list and cocktail menu. The dining area will cater to the largest of crowds; which I'm certain they are accustomed too. There is also a tab & gaming area.

But the standout is definitely the views. Don't take my word for it, come and check it out yourself.

The second best thing (this is definitely not including the stonegrill) is the bar & restaurant staff.. as a nearby local, I felt and was treated like a regular. The down to earth bar tenders and publican is what carry's this place. Well done to you all! I appreciate your recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed my arvo here.

Best Hotel in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. Views are magic over looking the Hunter River, Food is sensational and plenty of parking and seating. After eating there is a walking path down to the bridge where you can see historical buildings like thr Newcastle Swimming Centre. Highly recommend.

Took family and friends to a second visit. Didn't think perfect could be improved upon. Food was consistently perfect, price was awesome and the staff were incredible. I watched the manager and security deal with a disabled fellow who literally attacked them. They were patient, compassionate and supportive. So impressed. I have never seen a situation dealt with so well before. The team at this establishment are so wonderful. Thanks again.

Huge meals and great quality food. We ordered sirloin steak, barramundi and prawns, beef hot pot and kids nuggets. Even the kids meal was generously sized. It was busy but our wait for food wasn't too long at all. French martini was delicious.

Lunch with a view...Great spot overlooking the Hunter River. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Food for pub food was excellent and meals were pretty big. If your not a big eater like me, I definitely recommending sharing. Will be back again someday.

Fantastic service, great atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious! Pleasantly surprised as we are from out of the area. Had the chicken schnitzel and it was amazing! Hubby had salt and pepper squid and loved it. The chippies are amazing and the gravy was spot on! Great salad too! The cheese garlic bread was also fantastic. Fast service even though it was packed and very busy. Very reasonable prices too for such a big meal! ?????

A delightful and yet bustling hotel with riverside views. A gem amongst the cityscape of the area. Food was deliciousand cheap. Great menu variety. Friendly staff. Plenty of room to sit indoors means there is no need to book in advance.

Do yourself a favor & make sure you visit the Junction Inn! We recently moved to the area & have tried a few other local pubs but nothing really amazed us. From the moment we walked into the Junction we knew we'd found our new go to. The atmosphere is warm, friendly & inviting. The food is beyond AMAZING! I really have no words to describe just how delish the food is. We tried the Atlantic Salmon, Stone Grilled Rump, Meatlover's Pizza & the nuggets & everything was superbly cooked, beautifully presented & served really, really quickly despite the restaurant being fully booked out on a busy Saturday night. The owner of the Junction was the one who seated us & was working along with his staff, collecting plates, serving customers etc which was really nice & refreshing to see. I'm so happy we tried the Junction & will definitely be back. Keep up the fantastic work guys!

Food was good tasty and well priced. Our son had the "cook your own steak on the hot rock", and he loved it. See the picture. Looks blue, but this is the start of the cooking process...
We all enjoyed good meals and drinks. It was new year's eve and the place was busy, but not too packed. Recommend that you book in advance to make sure you get a good seat.

Great food with friendly staff - the dining area has a modern decor with expansive views of the Hunter River. Huge serving of very enjoyable food would highly recommend this hotel for lunch. Most tables were reserved when we arrived and there was a steady flow of customers coming and going during the time we were there (Saturday lunch) so might be worth booking a table if you want the river views

Fantastic family pub! The food is outstanding. The service is fantastic. All of the staff are polite and friendly. You can tell that the owners really care about what they do. Lots of choice on the menu and it's all great! The food is classic pub food done really well. We dined on a Saturday evening and the venue is child friendly. Best pub food we have had in ages!

Get the stone grill. We went on Thursday night ($15 pizza special night, and a table of 10 all had the tenderloin stone grill. I would highly recommend the stone grill... The wine pours are generous too, and the tempranillo Grenache was a good recommendation. The chicken and bacon pizza was good whilst hot, but became very heavy as it cooled down, definately share the pizza and don't tackle it by yourself, there is too much topping.
