Wouldn't recommend this place for functions. A friend had a medical condition (which they died from) and the venue wasn't very flexible and kept the deposit. Their staff said originally that they would honor it for a new date. The owner changed his mind and he did not give af. My friend spent $400 with nothing to show for it. Walkers Arms hotel was excellent and very accommodating, booked there instead.

Had my son's first birthday here and we were very much impressed by the venue and service. We hired soft toys and other stuff which were already set up by the time we got there. Parking is also right next to the venue which was very convenient for everyone. Everything went smoothly and the food was excellent as well. Really glad we found this place!

I am unsure if this is a regular thing as the one other time we have eaten here the meals have been great and service was pretty good. However last night we went before watching family performed for CANDANCE for a cure and we were left frustrated and disappointed. When we arrived we saw that it was packed, fair enough there was a function at the joiners and also at the entertainment centre and sport at the oval. Busy night. However, when we ordered we were told it would be a 45 minute wait for food, we should have not worried. Because over an hour later we still did not have any food. This caused a significant amount of stress as we had a function to get to. We ended up having to get takeaway. Yes we were apologised to which was lovely, however, some sort of compensation would have been nice. We were lucky that the entertainment centre allowed us to take our food in. And because of the nature of the food being now takeaway betime we ate it was cold and mediocre.
If you have a function and a sold out dinner service. Either cap your numbers or hire more staff for the night. Very disappointed. And we were not the only ones having to get takeaway because the wait was unbearable.

Hidden gem. Great atmos, lovely and knowledgable staff, great pub food at pub prices. Can't wait to try the Whiskey Den.

I don't know if something bad had happened tonight - but every staff member was in a horrible mood. Genuinely got an eye roll trying to order a drink at 8pm. Need to do a bit better, worst experience I have had at a pub.

Went before a concert at Coopers Stadium. Even though it was very busy the staff were very friendly & welcoming. Good pub food & great atmosphere. Getting a drink & something to eat was easy.

I had my 30th birthday here. The staff were wonderful throughout the process from the planning through to the big night. The food and drinks supplied by The Joiners was a big hit. The beer garden is a wonderful spot to hold any special occasion with everything you could need. A special thanks to Courtney, Tayla and all the staff on the night for all there help.

A fantastic night on Friday with the Samba Social Club night. It was mesmerising watching fabulous Samba musicians, dancers and entertainers. They should get a paid regular gig performing as they packed the place out. It was a fantastic night with the whole place smiling dancing singing and having good clean fun. Amazing performances. Great night, great food and service too at The Joiners.

We booked here for dinner before a show at the Entertainment Centre. It was a cold night & we were taken into a beer garden area. Whilst it was enclosed, it was very cold & they only turned on the heaters at 5.45. They were insufficient to warm the area & it was still cold when we left!
The moral of the story is to ask for an inside table when you book!
There was a set menu which was expected & the food was good.

Went for a private family function, it was lovely, staff, food, and selection of drink's were very enjoyable.
Private area was the best outcome as we had children and they were able to dance and play, with the talented Band.

I had my 21st birthday party here over the weekend and the staff here were fantastic!!! All the staff put in a lot of effort to make the space look fantastic and made sure to keep our area nice and secluded from all the soccer fans coming though. Courtney in particular was fantastic at answering any questions I had and made the event very special. The food was fantastic and all the bar staff where wonderful and very happy to make accommodations to the drinks list to include non-shelf spirts in the drink package. I would highly recommend this venue to others looking to host their function here.

Attended a wedding reception here and the bar staff were extremely rude. You'd think with the amount of money the hotel was making for the night they would be polite and smile... but nope

Had my 21st birthday here last month for lunch and the staff pulled off a spectacular show!! They were so co-operative with every request my mum and I had, and catered for every dietary requirements and request. The Venue could comfortably fit all 50 of our guests and the food that came out was amazing!!! I've already gone back for takeaway 3 times because the Arancini's were soooo good! 10/10 for everything, and thank you again!!

Amazing location, close to the entertainment centre and Hindmarsh stadium. They also have a massive beer garden so a great place for a function of any sort. I tried their Mary Street lager which is a must if you visit! The food is great and the staff are friendly.

I have just had lunch at the Joiners Arms Hotel I had the trio of sliders.
Wow they were so tasty. Also the barman was so professional. My pint of Cooper's pale ale was so fresh it tasted amazing. I have found another Jem of a pub here in Adelaide. I have driven past here on many occasions, but I never got a chance to stop in. But now that I have I will be back . I will recommend this business to all my tour Guests. Went for the first time tonight and it was great. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much. It's pretty unassuming from the outside and the area was pretty quiet so I didn't know what kind of pub we were walking into. We were pleasantly surprised. Nice decor, friendly staff, and the food was really good. The Cajun chicken burger was fantastic.

Smaller hotel with a compact selection of standard (mostly local) beers on tab. Food was freshly prepared and presented in gastro pub style. Friendly staff and good parking make it easy to be considered a "local". Toilets were a bit run down but clean.

First time there. Can't fault bar and waiting staff very friendly. I was not impressed with my Beef schnitty though unfortunately, meat not good and crumbing was not the best. Chips good and salad was very meagre.
My son had a burger which he said was really good. Another table member had grilled fish and left most of her meal saying tasteless. The venue is lovely. Rustic and updated. Might give another try again to see if maybe kitchen not up to scratch tonight ..mother's day 2021.

Enjoyed a great afternoon celebrating a milestone birthday with old friends. Who'd have thought that a little old pub in the black blocks could maintain such a vibe and such class. Well done.

I hosted my 21st at the Joiners and had a fantastic experience! The staff were very friendly and flexible. The space was magnificent and we were able to add as many or little decorations as we wanted. I can't thank you guys enough!

I will start by saying it was a very busy night with the Adelaide United game on, but my schnitzel was burnt & dry. We were then hurried out of the area that we were sitting in for possibly a private function but with nothing other than a "You need to move now" from staff it was pretty poor.
Overall I think I'll be looking for another place to warm up before the game.

Very disappointed. Asked for medium rare, got well done. Closed the kitchen at 9.30 on a Friday night when there was 35 people there for a function that was booked in. Food average at best and meals given to wronf people. Even 2 star is too much. Do not recommend.
