Decent new restaurant menu. Value for money. Nicely renovated outdoor area.

Had a meal here for the 1st time in a year. I was in a group of 8 and found all meals were on point for what we asked for. Serving size was great. Prices were reasonable and the meal deal of the day with a beer or wine was great value.

We've been here a few times and bar service is bad. Food takes so long to be served. It was a Saturday and it was even busy. Good is expensive. Hornsby RSL is much better with service and good food.

We go on Tuesday evenings for their $23.00 steak special

Went in on a Wednesday night with a table for two. Ended up waiting 45 minutes for meals and to get a drink was a wait also it seems like they do Uber eats or a delivery app like that. If they maybe prioritised the customers inside the restaurant then the people at home I would be going back other than that the food was good.

Came here for dinner with the family and have to say It Is the best pub feed we have had in the area in a very long time. My steak was cooked perfectly and the mash and veggies were beautiful. The kids meals were great along with the ice cream and hubby got the drunken muscles which he wished he got more of because they were so good. The food hasn't disappointed the last few times that we have been since it changed over. Highly recommend ??'?

Came for the monthly open mic night (Wednesday) and we had such a great time. Intimate venue, great tunes and food was delicious! Service was terrific bar and waitstaff super friendly and accomodating.

I love coming to Hornsby Inn all The local's are nice and everything is good... The Band's are great and Karaoke goes off come down and watch me sing grab some tucker and beer's... We Love The Hornsby Inn ??'-??'-??'-

I was looking for a local place to listen to some live music, and I stumbled upon this gem in my backyard.

The music was really great. Two Shots were rocking the place out with some of the classics. Their drummer knows his way around a kit!

Then we gave karaoke a crack a few weeks later. Walked in and thought, "wow, she can really sing". Then another woman steps up and belts one out. Then this young kid looks like he's rehearsing for NIDA. Karaoke seems to have turned into Australia's Got Talent.

Well, thankfully there were some 'norms' who eventually got their turn and the world was back in alignment once again.

Anyway, played some great rounds of pool with the locals and a good time had by all.

I would definitely recommend this spot for a fun night out.

Stayed there for 2 nights on a Friday, Saturday. Left early. Too noisy in Room 1. Air conditioning dirty. Simple accommodation. Only good thing is location.

We really enjoy The Bistro restaurant at the Hornsby Inn. Friendly staff, delicious food and they also have a great kid menu too. My favorite is the serloin steak with their delicious mash potato, salad and mushroom sauce. Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice relaxed atmosphere and fantastic food and some love music also from 7:30pm

Every visit here is an absolute pleasure, staff are friendly and warmly welcoming. The food goes above expectations. Though I do miss the Thai restaurant, the new food is great.

Last Friday night, myself and a friend of mine visited the Hornsby Inn for a meal and a drink, and I have to say I wasn't impressed with the place.

Whoever the barmaid was, that was working behind the bar obviously doesn't know how to do her job properly. I patiently waited at the bar in line about to order my dinner, as I was next to be served, the barmaid totally ignored me like I was invisible ( I was standing right in front of her) and served the man behind me, I was going to say something, but I didn't want to cause a scene, eventually I was served by another member of staff.

The food I ordered was Salmon with the vegetables, and whilst the salmon was OK, the vegetables were soggy and overcooked, plus for what I paid, the portion sizes was very small. Other pubs I have ate at give much bigger portions.

Needless to say, I won't be returning to the Hornsby Inn anytime soon.

Quite a few issues. We had our room comped to $100 after a payment error that required cash, so that was nice, can't fault the lovely staff I met. Room is half cleaned, with hair that doesn't belong to either guest found on beds and in shower, thick layers of dust in bathroom as well as a not unsubstantial amount of mould. "Complimentary continental breakfast" is juice, milk, cereal packets and tea/coffee in the cupboard and fridge which feels a bit disingenuous. Shower has accessible grab rails with is lovely but no elevator so not wheelchair/ low mobility accessible. Beds and linen are comfy, and air conditioner works beautifully, not terrible overall but not great either unfortunately.

Quaint location with a bit of taste for all. A quiet side bar is tucked in-between a dinning room and then on the other side a larger sports bar with frequent live entertainment on Fridays. The food is varied and fairly priced while also a great bite none the less. Good variety on tap with wine and cocktail too. Staff is friendly and welcoming as well

And your standards are stupid only old people dying to be your customers. They dont take any notice of customer complaints or feed back, the good staff leave and the same rude staff keep their job. You only have to walk past their smoking area that faces the public footpath to understand that its not a good place to dine or drink.
If your looking for a place to eat or drink in Hornsby there are so many other places that have friendly staff and great food ,,, avoid the Hornsby inn !

We have visited a handful of times over the past few weeks and the Inn has become our local.
The food is really good, I have to eat gluten free as I am ceoliac and they have a handful of gluten free options, which are good.
The drinks menu appears to have changed, for the better, with some lovely cocktails and a good wine selection.

We will be back for sure.

Finally, a pub that has proper LIVE BANDS (not just a single Singer and Mic) on a Saturday night, post-Covid. Other pubs should take a leaf out of the Hornsby Inn's book and have more live bands! Staff are very friendly, patrons are well behaved even when sloshed (didn't expect any different for a Upper North-Shore pub, really!)

Nice Hotel with Accommodation in Hornsby. Our room was good Double bed and single bed. Good size smart TV. Continental breakfast in the fridge, with toaster and jug, cereak and toast. Milk. Bands on weekends.

Unbelievable the way the staff looked after us friendly ,caring, bejond belief joking with us like we where best friends for a long time mainly in the bar with the Poker machines

Popped in here for a quick drink with friends before we headed out to dinner. First time in a very long time I'd walked into a bar filled with just men. This place is a very old school drinking and gambling pup. Clientele seems to be mainly older blokes. Not really my style but nothing wrong with the pub if that's what you're looking for.

The restaurant was good, but we would not stay there again. Room was not clean and needs new bed.

Big areas to eat, drink and play in. Friendly bar staff. Extensive menu in bistro/restaurant. Handy location. Plenty of parking availability.

Aircon in the middle of the window so choose between barely functional aircon or privacy from the numerous balconies looking at you. Pub itself is OK, location is great, but for the same money many other motels are far superior

Excellent service, cold beer and delicious food. The manager, Matt, was incredibly kind and helpful. Everything you can ask for in a good pub.

I wish I could give them no star! Very rude bar tender. A young boy with zero level of hospitality experience.I used to go there but this time was my very last time.
