We had a birthday lunch at the Hotel today. I must say the menu is so much better with lots of good food on their "special" board. 3 of us had rump steak, and it was the best steak we have had in ages. We asked fir medium-rare and that was exactly what we got. Thank you for the chef of the day and the lovely lady at the bar who has such a great personality. Venue is one if the best around - keep it up.

Amazing beautiful old Pub from the outside - but then inside is not what is expected as its all new with big bars and dining opening up to the spectacular view of the inlet breakwall out to the waves of the ocean.

The room was large but unfortunately with no doors or windows to open to allow fresh air or any airconditioning it was very hot and uncomfortable. It was also directly above the entertainment and so very noisy. No view from the room as no windows, no beside tables or lamps. The bed was comfortable but I'm afraid the bad outweighed the good. Not a good place for a decent nights sleep when driving long distances

What a wonderful pub do not let the outside from the road trick you. If you read the history we loved our little visit there. We will be back before the holiday is over to try the food. Great view behind the wine glass

Wanted to leave a review as a girlfriend, and I both had the chicken parmigiana, and it was delicious. We second-guessed our decision until the last minute. Given the last two reviews said it hadn't been the best, but there were definitely no regrets. Husband had the pork ribs, which were very nice, but a smaller portion than we were expecting. Service was great and location was impeccable.

We came here while on holiday in the Motorhome and had a meal and drinks. Firstly the good news, the balcony and view were amazing and the food was quite nice. The staff were mostly friendly and efficient. The guy at the bistro that took my order wasn't very friendly or focused. I asked for a side of sauce and he said he'd get it with the order. When I collected the order it wasn't there and I went back to get it and he was on his phone around the corner in sight. The chef finally saw me and came over and helped me. He then asked the man where the sauce was and he waved him towards the fridge still playing on his phone. He then asked again if he could get him a spoon and was ignored so he found a spoon and got the sauce - the chef was very friendly and helpful. Also the [---] room is smoking only and when I went in it was totally smoke filled with about 10 - 12 people all smoking and I had to leave. I went in the next afternoon thinking it would be better but there were about 6-7 people again all smoking and I couldn't stay. Very disappointed as I love the pokies and wasn't able to play as the smokers had all the rights. You should either look into a smoking/non smoking section or get a good ventilation system that keeps the air breathable. We ended up going to the bowls club to play and have drinks/dinner the next 2 days as it's non-smoking. I know nothing will come of this but hopefully something to consider.

The friendly, helpful service given me by Allen in the bistro was outstanding. We were travelling between Sydney and Tweed Heads and hadn't had the opportunity to eat that day. I can't just stop at fast food places because I can't eat gluten. It was almost 3pm and the Bistro was closed. When I told Allen the situation he kindly offered to make two meals. Mine was salmon, mash and greens. The meals were beautifully presented and very generous sized. Thank you.

I was treated so kindly by the staff. It was such a wonderful stay. Warm comfy bed, lovely restaurant and beautiful views. Thank you so much from a Taree girl coming back for a visit.

We had lunch here & ordered the steak sandwich from specials board it was inedible, tough steak, cold & not one piece, resembled off cuts- we then had a burger which was a tasteless bland patty. Service was extremely slow with very few people there & no staff checked on our meals when clearing plates.

Rooms were super basic with the worst pillows.
Bathrooms were shared, but gender specific. Kind of like a caravan park style.
Both clean.
Food was pretty expensive and mainly yellow or beige in colour, so ate elsewhere.
So many beers, but only the basic ones.
Great spot beside the water.

Lovely quiet place out of the hustle and bustle of the busy touristy places. Our king room at the hotel was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable and the shared bathroom facilities are spotlessly clean. There's also a nice outdoor rooftop area with lovely views over the water. They have a nice bistro but we ate at the club 2 minutes walk from the hotel because the drinks were cheaper there! Friday and Saturday nights at the hotel are noisy with the music but that didn't bother us as we joined in the fun!

It's worth a visit!! My wife and I visited here for lunch while holidaying in the area. We were both greeted in a very friendly manner when we first arrived. We had a drink and ordered lunch. As we were there on a Monday, there was a steak special ($14.90 for a steak, chips and salad). So, we had that. It didn't take very long to serve, and both meals were cooked to our liking (medium rare for me, and medium for my wife). We both thoroughly enjoyed them. The location is fabulous, right on the water. The bar and kitchen staff were both very friendly and efficient. I would recommend a visit if you're in the area.

There was a power outage (not the venues fault) and the staff were bloody awesome. Did everything they could to make the best of the situation and somehow the kitchen were still able to get out meals.

Beautiful pub, renovated in an unpretentious way that perfectly compliments the original character.

Close enough to the highway to be convenient, far enough to be a little isolated. Tidy, comfortable rooms. There's even a bathtub. The bar has a great bistro, amazing location and friendly staff.

What more could you honestly ask for? Highly recommended - hats off to the owners. They've done a beautiful job.

The hotel, staff, food and drinks were excellent.

We frequently have dinner at the Harrington Hotel when in town. The bistro has a good range of dishes on the menu and is reasonably priced. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Children are welcome. The view of the lake and breakwall is superb. There is an outdoor area and a covered dining area that opens up to the outside. Overall a great place to relax, and enjoy a drink and a meal.

At $35 for pub accommodation with shared bathroom and toilet in 2019 and early 2020 was a fair price. Meals and hospital was very good. Roll onto 2023 and the same accommodation is $90 for same time of the season. No air conditioning. .

Would not recommend coming here.

We came for lunch, I received my meal, however my husband did not. After waiting an hour after my meal came out, my husband went to ask where his was. It had not even been made!!

The order before ours they had made a mistake on and then gave them the pizza, which was fine. We are expected they would get straight to making another. This was not the case. We ended up getting a refund as it had been so long. We understood it was the lunch rush, hence not rushing over after my meal had been made.

Didn't get a sorry even after asking for a refund for the meal. Absolutely terrible!

George was amazing he went above and beyond for our service, he made the best espresso martini! Highly recommend

Went on Sunday pizza night and was very dissapointed- our orders had missing meals, nothing consistent and staff didn't care.
But went back again on Tuesday and different staff were on who were fantastic and our food was delicious.
Bar staff also looked after patrons by telling guests to look after tgeir kids instrad of them running rampant. It was appreciated.
Will be back.

We went for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The hotel looks a bit grotty from the front but once inside the bar and dining areas are spacious the hotel also has an outdoor dining area. The quality of the food was amazing.

Absolutely awesome location and if you want a cheap room for the night the old motel rooms are as basic as any pub room but tidy and sitting out on the balcony is very chill

Awesome food and location with lovely service.. my son and daughter in law took me there for mother's day, at my suggestion, I wanted to show them the highlights of this region, as they're living in Port. And the Harrington hotel didn't disappoint, they both loved their lunch and enjoyed the atmosphere. They'll be back..

The pub is lovely, I was a bit concerned as a family next to me complained that their food was horrible, however I'm just 20 minutes we had food for 6 and all of which was beautifully made and presented, staff are lovely and very friendly and with the beautiful view over the water.

Terrible service. Lined up for 10 minutes to order only to be told at the counter that many meals, including the specials board were not available. Why have a menu and specials board if you're not offering all that is on there? It's understandable that things might be hard to source but let people know before they line up!!

So we lined up again with a plan B. My brother-in-law ordered before me. Then the girl serving simply walked away for several minutes without explanation. When she finally came back she took my order, which came out very quickly, however they must have misplaced my brother-in-law's order because 10 minutes later they still had not received their meals.

I returned my chicken burger and got my money back. If you're going to give your burger a gourmet name, then you need to deliver a gourmet burger, but half a schnitzel (literally a schnitzel cooked then cut in half) with a bit of iceberg and tomato served on a grocery store bun is not a "Chic Station Burger".

After making enquiries, my brother-in-law's meals finally came out. His gourmet "Harrington Burger" was undercooked, and he returned it, my sister also returned her chicken burger.

The poor service continued as the manager argued the point with my brother-in-law.

Poor service, poor food. Definitely do not recommend.

Waited an hour and 40 minutes for three average meals. No explanation or apology from staff, definitely won't be back.

Great riverfront beer garden, surprising selection of Coopers on tap. Tables are the stickiest tables I've ever had my arms glued to (despite a wipe down). I suspect the varnish is the problem, not lack of cleaning.

Nice place with great view. Had a roaring fire in the fireplace and the staff were very friendly. Food was overcooked and not very good but it could have been an off day for the kitchen. I will say that the garlic bread was really good and the beer was cold so they got that going for them. Won a veggie tray in the raffle and a few bucks on Keno so it was a nice time overall.

Friendly and helpful staff in a beautiful riverside location. Great place for lunch and dinner especially during the warmer months. 2 for 1 Tuesdays are really good for those on a tight budget. ????"???-

I ordered beef and bean Nachos for lunch on Sunday 30 May. Sad to say it arrived as a plateful of corn chips covered in melted cheese and little else. A tablespoon of sour cream, a teaspoon of chilli sauce, a spoonful of tomato salsa, about 6 beans and a smear of minced beef. Truly the hotel needs to either improve this offering even if it means increasing the price
Or strike it from the menu. It's a drag on their reputation for good food.

Thai Beef Salad , Southurn fried chicken burger & Salt & Pepper Squid. The last two with chips & salad. The Spring rolls looked really good. Took them home in a take away. Bloody Beautiful...!!

Had to wait over 1.5 hours for some chips and a garlic bread pizza. Weren't warned about the wait. After an hour of waiting we asked how much longer, they were very rude and unprofessional in answering us.In the end they gave us the wrong meal.But the bar staff were fantastic and had great drinks.Sadly won't be returning

Food amazing... wait time.. dreadful, waited over an hour for our meals with 2 young kids. If its going to be a while, sure thats fine, but at least feed the kids! Poor things were starved.

Have been there several times. Great food and friendly service. Best wood fire pizza's.
