Went to this venue about 2 weeks ago, my husband is a constant visitor but now decided to go to Hallam, l go with him from time to time. Appalled with staff, as around an 80 yr old walked in with a friend and they got security to kick him out, banned for life. My husband was so happy to see this person. From what was said, one of the lady staff members who is nosy and should stick her beak elsewhere, as she did the same to me, kept on bothering this man on that he has to play, not walk or sit around. The person got upset and they had a verbal fight, understandable she works there, stop patronising customers his age! Luckily we saw him at Hallam the next day. He has his own social circle, he plays a bit and sits with his friends which have left Hampton Park and followed this person. A lovely man getting abused by this certain staff member each time, of course he will react! He is 80 years old, kick him out? They should be fully ashamed on treating an elderly this way. No wonder this place is going downhill! These people have parents, what would they do if their elderly were treated in this manner? Some people go to these places just to socialise and play a few bucks if they want, rude, appalling and disrespectful! If l was this person, l would sue them for elderly abuse and disrespect. A person has its limits, if another person is constantly on their back, of course at one point they will react. Check your certain staff member as you are losing customers because of her aggressive attitude, and, l am not the one who is only complaining about her from what l see on the reviews and the actual venue, customers are terrified by her and her attitude towards them! Go elsewhere people, they disrespect their customers nearly daily, we were sick of it!

Last night at around 9pm I was sitting at a pokie machine at the Hampton Park Tavern waiting for my husband to get some drinks and the venue MANAGER BRETT angrily came over to me and pushed me off my chair and told me to get out and that I was barred for life from this venue. I asked why & all he said rudely shouting at me was that he was the boss and it was his decision as I wasn't playing the pokies. I didn't argue with him as many customers have seen him discriminate and abuse other patrons for no reason many times. He couldn't do my job .. he's just a bad, sad worker that uses he's high position as a venue manager to abuse , discriminate & be racial to customers for no reason whatsoever. Workers & customers have told me he has anger issues & mental illness. This UNHAPPY, ANGRY, BULLY OLD MAN BRETT should retire & doesn't deserve to work around people. WHAT GIVES HIM THE RIGHT TO JUDGE CUSTOMERS !!!! HE DID ME A GREAT FAVOUR. DONT EVER COME TO THIS venue AND GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO THEM ! THERE ARE PLENTY OF LOVELY POKIE VENUES THAT THE STAFF WILL TREAT YOU EQUALLY , WITH THE KINDNESS. & RESPECT WE ALL DESERVE !

Not only was there a fist fight that broke out in the venue yesterday 25th February, I was also ripped off by the faulty money collecting winnings. machine, whenI went to collect my winnings.

Management tried telling me that I put my hand in before all the money $750 out of $800 was ready to be taken out when clearly I know that it was not the case.... Yes the machine gave me $50 less I was very disappointed that they made their own assumptions and when I told the manager I would leave a bad review, I was THREATENED not to....

Patrons please be aware that the old machine near the bar is FAULTY. You are better off going to the cashier to collect your winnings instead. The venue needs to upgrade those machines as it's the only venue that use them... gee, they make enough money so I don't understand why they haven't upgraded.

I told another patron what had happened and he was appalled.

I will no longer visit this venue.... Traumatised by the fist fight I witnessed and ripped off by their faulty equipment. Good riddens!!

One star is more than this place deserves. Disappointed that the photos online show a bistro but upon arrival we were told there is no bistro. It's basically a giant pokies room with a couple tables to sit and drink. Ordered 3 pizzas & bowls of chips from the very little food menu they had and it was supermarket frozen food. Photos make it look nicer than it was but the pizzas were also burnt and very inedible. Would not recommend visiting unless you are looking for somewhere to play pokies without eating or drinking.
