Attended the Hotel last night to have a meal prior to going to a concert there. Ordered our food at 7:00pm, and enjoyed a pint whilst waiting. An hour later we were getting a little edgy, as tables that had ordered after us were getting their entrees/mains, but were told that our meals would be with us shortly. At around 8:25pm I had had enough, and went to the counter and requested, and got, a refund. At this point I rejoined my partner, and we finished sat whilst finishing our drinks. Just about ready to leave 10 minutes later, and a waitress appeared with our meals, which we refused. At this time the table behind us, who had ordered way after us, which comprised of about 8 adults and multiple children, had received the entrees then their mains and finished and left. Same on the table to my left. Absolutely abysmal service, and we won't be returning. I gave 3 stars for food as it looked good, though I didn't have the opportunity to taste it.

Traveled over an hour to get to the hotel from truganina. Super nice meal, hugely friendly staff. We had a 2 month old with us and we had no problem heating his bottle. No request was too difficult. Will be back again! Rebooking is a must!

Really enjoyed coming back here. Have not been here for such a long time, I love the atmosphere. The staff are amazing here and we absolutely loved the meal.

During my inaugural visit to the Hallam Hotel, I was absolutely enchanted by the exquisitely prepared grilled salmon, elegantly nestled on a velvety bed of mashed potatoes, complemented by a luscious pesto sauce. Although the mashed potatoes didn't quite reach the pinnacle of culinary perfection, the salmon's unparalleled flavor more than compensated, creating an exceptionally delightful dining experience. The Halloween-themed decorations, featuring ghosts, ghouls, witches, and skeletons, added a captivating and whimsical allure to the ambiance. Priced at just $34, this culinary journey was not only delightful but also remarkably affordable. I eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Additionally, it's worth noting that the parking situation behind the hotel and down the side lane might be a bit confusing for some patrons.

Smaller menu. But it has something for everyone to enjoy. Easy to order either at table or going up to order. Food tasted amazing. I had the garlic prawns in creamy sauce with rice. Couldn't fault it.

Sick building syndrome is nothing to do with a building and everything to do with management.
This review is nothing to do with the workers and everything to do with management. Just after getting home last night, I developed an issue with my stomach. But this is just the end of the story. Two meals early, two only arrived late after reminding the front of house the order was not complete. Clearly there were issues as the workers looked unhappy.
There's only one reason for this situation, management. This is NOT a bad review on the workers. Management need to get themselves sorted. They need to take a good hard look at themselves and ask why?
What are they doing wrong?
If the owners or manager needs help, I am happy to guide them at no cost. But for the first time in my life I have come home with a case of food issues.

The first impression wasn't so impressive but, the pub's interior is quite spacious, clean and I'd say it's well organize.
The staff was good but, could've been better (could've been more friendlier). I'm saying these just so customer feel a bit more welcoming. Overall, the operation was quiet good. I give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited this place today with a group of 8 for a birthday lunch. Staff pleasant and food was amazing. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and I believe it's the best schnitzel I have ever had. They batter it in a different way to everywhere else I have been. Another lady in our party had one of the specials on offer and also agreed it was the best that she had eaten in a very long time. We all enjoyed our meals. Prices are very affordable and atmosphere of venue was pretty good too. Will be returning again soon.

It was usy for a Wednesday night. People were qued up to purchase their dinner. I used the table Q code and we were served our meal quicker than most of the people who qued !! Big meals couldn't possibly fit in a desert even if we shared!

Our guests expressed how happy they were with the food and the quantity too (we Samoans lol) and of the venue itself. Function managers were fantastic, adjusting to our requests and every last minute changes. Fab and Renae always there to settle the nerves leading up to the event. Great place for a "small" Samoan birthday.

Havent been in quite a few yrs, surprised by the remodelling of the bistro/lounge. Food was good but not "Im full but can't stop eating it" good. Seniors meals quite good for the price too. Staff were pleasant, would come back for a family dinner/lunch.

Stopped in for a beer and a counter meal. Ordered the Hallam burger. Burger was ok but arrived with just a knife, no fork, implying I should eat it with my hands, but there was no napkin, so a bit of a messy affair. The skinny fries arrived cold. All in all a dismally disappointing night.

Dinner last night with friends, enjoyed great food,best chicken Kiev!
Sat in a booth, seating comfy and felt like private dining.
Great to have option to order from the table too!
Thankyou to the friendly and helpful staff who made it a great night.

Great pub meals and modern decor fantastic ambience from the fireplace. Kids meals are generous. Really enjoyed my Caesar Salad with grilled Chicken, very tasty and fresh.

Services was slow, but due to short staff. But still staff were friendly service was good. Food was excellent, will be going back again

Since my Wife and I have become Seniors we come to Hallam Hotel more often on a Sunday, normally is great but today the food was not cooked properly, the fish was raw and cold only the batter was cooked and the order was mistakenly processed even though I showed my seniors card. The latest is to be aware of the extra fee charged by ordering from the table by the tap,order, pay. Customer should be made aware of the extra fee and not get a surprise after the order has been ordered

Wonderful meal, seniors full plate for $10, well done Hallam pub. Very nice setting to enjoy a nice meal.The staff were great, good old fashion service i think everyone likes that. Go and try, I'm sure you will go back.

Food was good, not great but not bad either. Always room for improvements.Food was lacking a little in flavour. Had to repeat our order multiple times to the waiter taking our orders. Even the people behind us could hear what we ordered yet the young man taking our order couldn't Table service was great. Ladies cleared the table quickly and efficiently before Desserts came out which was so helpful.

Back again after such a good time last time. Very busy tonight, had to wait longer for our food. The manager was good at telling us when we ordered and Staff were moving around all the time so maybe need more staff Food yum, waiters friendly, me and you to you fun to use. Thumb up, thanks

Pleasantly surprised!! The Hallam hotel has been refurbished and looks amazing. We all enjoyed our meals. Some could have been more generous in meal size.

It was my son and daughter in-laws first wedding Anniversary party. Everyone enjoyed the night, Food was great,,,Drinks?,,,none stop..The music was great...Hallam Hotels staff were very friendly and helpful...Can't complain...I recommend Hallam Hotel to everyone..

One of the best & convenient Aussie restaurant to go to, big car park, big eating place and importantly friendly and efficient services.This is my second time there - with four other seniors. Menu is easy to choose and prices are reasonable.Staff taking your orders & payment are smiling and friendly ...... that help the environment & your appetite !!We will certainly come again as all of us left with satisfaction and praises in our lips !!
