Great food with a fun atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful.

We came in today for lunch hoping for the best as we had heard and read good things about this hotel. Upon arrival we waited about 5 minutes to be seated, these 2 waitresses kept walking past us and looked at us until one of them finally asked if we needed assistance. We were seated at 1.45pm and looked over the menu, but we were rushed as we only had 5 minutes to choose what we wanted to eat. The menu consisted of your average Aussie hotel cuisine along with some lovely unique dishes. The food came out and everything was sound, except for some small details. There was no dressing on the coleslaw that came with the schnitzels, and the bread that came with the olives was burnt. The big issue that came was the service. The ladies working had no manners or politeness; simply working for the money and not thinking about the dining experience they were giving to customers. It took the lady about 15 minutes just to clear some plates off our tables, and upon doing that she asked "are yous done with your food?" Very off putting. There's many other things but to sum it up, this restaurant has the most inconsiderate and careless staff. Don't eat here.

First i had 2 drinks and then had the flat bread great flavour in the flatbread and then had a burned chicken schnitzel and they just put the gravy on the top next time i will ask for on the side but chips were alright most likley not coming back

Finally visited after hearing many great reviews.
Unfortunately not a memorable experience. Short staffed, limited menu items available.
Fish and Chips were excellent crisp, great batter, bit short on salad. Full snitzel not full size, too thick, hand crumbing was evident, but overall hubby not impressed. Will have to try again after the new year

Nice place for a Saturday lunch with family, nice beer garden and large lawn for the kids to play on! They had beers from the local brewery on tap! Very nice

Absolutely a beautiful place to eat, heritage feel is abundant.
Service was great, a little disappointed in the size of the special of the day. But other than that, we had a terrific time here.

What a meal. Ordered the 500gm beef parmi and didn't regret it for a moment. Clearly a large piece of meat that was so tender it melted in your mouth. The nap sauce was perfectly balance and the cheese was melted to perfection. The chips and salad were really nice but the pepper gravy was outstanding and the size of the gravy meant you had enough for the whole meal. The pepper was on point, enough to know it had kick without killing your taste buds.
Great service from a really nice pub. Will certainly visit again.

It's an awesome country pub, lovely front bar, good dining area, very warm and friendly. Staff were great, good selection of local craft beers and the food was great. We were there for the free quiz on Wednesday nights and it was great to see so many people involved.

Nice atmosphere good pub food. Enjoy a catch up with friends here again over the weekend. Fabulous!

I have just had a S and P squid meal. Burnt and chewey. Salad was red cabbage only. Chips were cold. Had to ask for taratre sauce, no lemon . Only ate half the meal. Sorry, we wont be back, nor would i recommend a meal here

4 stars for food - all except pizza - was great for 5 people.
3 stars for vibe - was lower than expected with "pubby" smells and looks, and set ups as you walk in through the door; as well as a little welcome area; overall wasn't what we had in mind after lots of viewing on social media. It's a huge area, and would definitely benefit from some redesigning.

Awesome little hidden gem in the Barossa. We went here for lunch and boy we are happy we did. We all had pizzas and they were outstanding. Friendly staff and a warm old school pub vibe. Do yourself a favour and make a visit.

Nice country pub. Plenty of food & drink to choose from.
Easy to find either friendly staff.
Prawn wontons were very creative.
Parma and squid were delicious.

The kids bolongese had a really nice texture and the pasta was cooked to perfection.
The steak was mouthwatering and melted in my mouth.
We sat in the garden area and it had a great ambience. Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Great food, especially the pork belly ! My friend and I both had babies with us everyone was kind and it was breastfeeding friendly. The grass area was peaceful.nWould rate it five stars but there seemed to be a few flies in the place mainly just due to people not shutting the door when leaving or entering the back area. Maybe during lunch time service a fly net on back door would be good

Could only get takeaway due to COVID-19 restrictions. We both had schnitzel, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Probably one of the best beef schnitels I've ever eaten.

Great food and atmosphere. Bar had a wide range of gin flavours. Very knowledgeable. We went on a Wed night where there was a trivia night which was a lot of fun.

The Greenock was a good pub but has the potential to be better. It was busy for a Tuesday and the staff were all friendly and helpful. However the meals came out some at once before a 5-8min wait for the rest and the beer on tap tasted as if they needed to clean their beer lines. I myself had a great pizza but others on my table weren't as satisfied with their meals being chicken and fish. Overall good but not great

We were looking for a good country pub and the Greenock did not disappoint. Delicious, well priced food and an excellent wine list. The serves were generous and service was fast. I liked that after having a glass of wine which I loved that I was able to buy a bottle from the bar to take home.
