The pub is lovely, and the meals are fantastic. That's where it stops, most of the bar staff look so miserable, and that reflex in the service.
This could be a wonderful designation.

I've been going to this pub regularly since, and I mean this, quite literally, before I was born. It's such a family favourite of ours that my parents came here for dinner even when my mother was pregnant. Over the years that we've been coming here, there have been ups and downs. There was a period where crumbed sausages weren't on the menu, and as a kid, I was greatly offended. It used to be that the chips were thicker and generally more potato-ey. Nonetheless, we kept coming back, seeing staff come and go, chefs change, and bartenders leave. My parents like to tell me how they were eating here when the smoking ban in restaurants was passed. Apparently, that caused quite an outrage.
But anyway, the point is that this place is great. Its a good honest pub that doesnt try to be anything it isn't and for that I'll keep coming back till either it closes down or I choke on one of their delicious lamp chops and drop dead.

Another pleasing pub Feed

Great Western hotel, great vibe from the moment I walked in.

Chicken Parmi With salad, was not disappointed. Interesting twist on the Salad, not the usual "Parma pub salad" which was nice for a change.

Meal decent portion for the price () and tasted great, could tell quality ingredients were used, cheese was fresh and Chicken done right.

My wife and I stayed at Shannon Motel overnight and chanced upon this hotel next door. A daily special was roast pork! WOW! A proper old fashioned roast, excellently cooked potatoes, pumpkin, carrots. Huge serve of peas. Finely sliced meat and delicious gravy. My wife was very leased with her Bruschetta. The Sticky Date Pudding was excellently presented and suitably rich. Cream, strawberries, blueberries and raspberry accompanied it. An excellent feed.
