Ordered gluten free meal, wasn't gluten free, i even checked the gluten free part in the order section. When I rang them, they just confirmed that it wasn't a gluten free meal and didn't try to fix it. My child went without dinner because of this! Not good enough and we will not be coming back.

It's a great little place to stay.
Rooms are basic but quite nice.
Staff are super friendly, and there's great photos of the history of the building posted around the walls.
The food was really good too. I recommend the scotch fillet.

We were very impressed with the vegan meal options. Even a dessert! Delicious and good value for money. Great service too.

A lovely old hotel in a small town. We stayed here on the way to Adelaide from Melbourne and would recommend it. Cheaper than anything we could find in Mt Gambier (about 40 minutes down the road). Shared bathroom. It wasn't noisy, but that might depend on who's visiting the pub at the time.

We had dinner downstairs and it was nice if unremarkable (no public holiday surcharge was a big plus!). My risotto was a little watery and my wife's calamari was over-salted, but the portion sizes were decent and the staff were happy to make an alteration (swapping chips for rice).

Had a meal here and it was great. The young girl, Libby? Was absolutely great, she was very friendly, polite, welcoming and full of information. She is a real asset.

Great steak sandwich on Turkish bread and just $15. Juicy and not over cooked. Polite and happy staff

This was my first time staying in a pub & Grand Hotels a beautiful one to stay in. The rooms are really clean, theres extra bedding or towels if you need it, clean toilets and showers that provide shampoo, conditioner & body wash. The staff are nice and helpful too! The balcony is also beautiful, especially at sunset.

The hotel is a magic place where warm on chilly days and cools on burning outside! The food is excellent (somehow the chef is good in every cuisine) with friendly staff; we were lucky to stay here to have welcomed 2023

Service was really good and super friendly. Food was very average though. Steak sandwich was burnt to a crisp and most of the "steak" was barely edible.

Though this is not the oldest hotel in Millicent, it is very popular for so many ghostly stories. I admit, when I was inside, I had this strangest and creepy feeling especially when I was looking for the toilet. But thanks to all the staff who assured me not to believe in any of these paranormal stories.

We passed by Millicent on our bicycle tour to Adelaide when the weather turned ugly. We stopped here for a night and found it very comfortable, clean and perfect for a good nights rest. The shared bathroom/shower was newly renovated and clean. Freshly paint and decorated rooms/hallways. The lounge area was relaxing and provided coffee and teas which we appreciated. The front desk employee was super helpful and friendly. Will definitely recommend.

Anyone complaining about the accommodation needs to wipe their hands off and get a grip. For the price, it's absolutely fine for a one night stay as you pass through town and need a shower and somewhere to sleep other than your car. Single beds are that amazing soft springy situation.
Check in was great, got a full walk around tour by a young lady who really seemed to care about the place and really talked up the recently renovated shower room, which actually was really nice! Really hope the team get the chance to update the main bathroom to match that because that would be hot.
Pub was fine, beers were nice, fresh, and reasonably priced. Basic pub classics available.
Haunted? Probably not, though I'm certain there's a nocturnal parrot that lives in the hallway as there was definitely something making not quite human sounds but in a funny way, not a scary way.

We had 2-night stay in this lovely heritage hotel. The staff is lovely, the room is comfortable and clean. The location is great.
The only issue is the share bathroom and shower for men and women. I felt uncomfortable to take a shower while the next cabin is a man. I hope the manager fix this issue. Apart from that, everything was great and I recommend it ??'?

We stopped for dinner.
Friendly staff, very tasty meals and desserts. Serving size is not too generous but prices are reasonable, order entree and dessert if you are really hungry.
The historic interior has been preserved with high ceiling and large windows.
We will visit again when traveling to or through the area.
